  1. Fix Shooting: Enforce LOS properly, and make it so only the main "body" is able to be targeted.
  2. I think all shooting issues can be resolved with better LOS rules. It would make the available targets lower and more practical instead of shooting through everything.
  3. Maybe using Swifthawk agents as the base and then mixing other order units it could be boosted. Obviously a hurricanum, but maybe a few more mages like the Loremaster to boost a model, then another mage to cast mystic shield while the archmage uses elemental shield? Or other units
  4. Great review. I grabbed the High Aelf portion of this with a friend. Love the models but haven't painted or played them yet. I added an additional 5 Reavers to them and plan on not using the battalion.
  5. What is cohesive? For example my stormcast army is 90% gold/blue, but the newer members of the stormhost wear gold/green to mark they are newbies to the army. (by unit, not by model)
  6. Hmm I think you are on to something. Measuring from Base to Base has been almost fully adopted for combat, spells/abilities and shooting. Why not just adapt it so if you can't reach from your shooting unit to the target without crossing another base, then you can't shoot them? Keeps the rules simple, and goes along with base to base
  7. I really dislike how many handle LOS. I see just a super tiny fraction of your weapon, thus it hits. To me that's definitely legal but not in the spirit of the rules. Shooting through 40 models cause I can see the tiniest fraction of your model ? I'd love to see this updated with something saying you need a clear line of sight with no models or terrain in the way. I think then it would make movement even more important.
  8. Shooting is not as powerful in Triumph and Treachery games just due to the number of players and the combat phase. Changing rules has a large impact. Maybe just something for matched play if anything at all
  9. When the prime drops he still has to make his charge (possibly changed via his ability) .
  10. Agreed, although the new Stormcast Battletome showed the downside to reactive. There are errors where in the fluff section they clearly copied and pasted about certain models (Azyros comes to mind) and then changed the rules on the warscroll so they don't align anymore. A bummer, that I wish they would have gone back and fixed.
  11. This is already covered in the lore. There is a stadium/coliseum in Azyr that stormcast fights stormcast for training.
  12. Great write up! This is by far my favorite battleplan. Everytime I've played it, the game has been really close down to the wire. A good discussion of balance and army theme prior to the game can really make this an awesome one to play.
  13. True but you only get prayers in a "Stormcast eternals" army so by adding a non-stormcast unit (aka a friendly unit), you lose the prayer automatically. Unless there is a battalion that allows you to add non-stormcast units to a storm cast army.
  14. The Swifthawk and Eldritch council are not Azyr aelves . It's clearly stated in the Spire of Dawn fluff that they are from the Aelven Civilization in the realm of Light, also confirmed in the Stormcast battletome. Now maybe they came from Azyr and created societies in that realm? I think it will be an Aelven battletome that covers all factions and provides ways to combine them through battletomes or keywords.
  15. References to Aleven civilization in the realm of light are found in the Spire of Dawn book and new SCE battletome.
  16. Both spire of dawn and the new SE battletome mention swifthawk agents and aelveish civilization in the realm of light. I think it would be safe to assume that any campaign books that go there, will have the aelves fully detailed.
  17. Im sure they are doing what some ppl have asked for but who are those ppl. getting input from a handful?
  18. Not true the app doesn't run on any of my devices. So the app is not the standard since its not universal
  19. True, but now he will still be expensive for a one a trick pony. and that trick is less useful.
  20. The point changes and battalion's not being given points is not a big deal to me. The changing of the warscrolls for models does. If you bought the Vexillor for the teleport, now depending on who you play with the model doesn't do that. They could have just upped his point cost.
  21. Agreed, but the removal of judicators as generic battleline I think demonstrates a desire to have less mixed armies. Why not have more generic battleline?
  22. interesting I never thought of it as pens but I totally see your point.
  23. All the cool stuff is not applicable. And sadly the general order abilities are not good for ranged units (my non Stormcast units). oh well. I will hold judgement till I read the full book. But not a good way to attract new ppl.
  24. bummer one of the things that attracted me to this game feels like its being taken away
  25. Hopefully these are not all allegiance based as I like seeing grand alliance armies and variety. Not a huge fan of mono faction armies
