How about the horned rat somehow interferes with the rescue of Slaanesh and they merge into one? That will shake up some things .

Looking over the new matched play battleplans with the moving objectives. I think this makes the vanguard units a decent choice to add in to an army. The Lord Aquilor and some palladors could be good for zipping around the table.

Yeah the Idoneth can almost literally do everything well.

Not bad, maybe if the Knight Azyros is nearby you give them a +1 to hit to negate it. Thus giving him back his ability he originally had in a slightly varied form.

I think we'll see mostly stuff for nighthaunt/stormcast since their battletomes are coming out right away.

In the FAQ you can't use your pile in, unless you are within 3" already in the combat phase. Although his 8" occurs in the hero phase, would it be under the same limitations?

Khorgos Khul's 8" pile in does a lot less now, since you can't pile in if you are outside 3"

Fair point. Still a dumb ability, it should be set the model back up with one wound this stopping the overkill mechanism. That would be more useful.

That's not how it sounds as written but if that's the way GW wants it, then that makes it one of the dumbest abilities we've seen.

I may get Firestrike, will depend a lot on the battletome and the generic versions. In the old battletome it did not restrict Stormhosts to certain colors at all. So hopefully this continues and if you painted yours one color you can still call it hammers of sigmar

This makes me lean more heavily towards GW not wanting Stormcast to be great, just average. Combine their points and the points on the Celestant Prime. What is the justification?
