  1. I'd be inclined to leave the Light of Eltharion out. It's a stunning model but just not that points efficient, especially if your meta is very competitive. One of Teclis' big advantages is access to all of the spell lores, I'd consider putting in a wind mage for access to the teleport spell. Maybe an endless spell or two with what's left?
  2. She will be getting a new warscroll in BR:Kragnos.
  3. The problem is that they have to start hyping 3.0 (and the new SCE armour) now, meaning they have had to prematurely reveal the solution to Belakor’s shenanigans. Narratively speaking we still have the Kragnos book to fill in the gaps in between. It would’ve been nice to have a longer gap to raise the stakes for SCE but because the 3.0 announcement has to be made now it spoils the tension somewhat. Understandable, but a shame the way it’s worked out.
  4. Who is this at the centre of this pic? What is happening? Looks like a winged helmet holding a hammer or an axe? Could it be Grugni unveiling the thunderstrike armour?
  5. The swamp theme makes me wonder if we will see a plastic troggoth hag at some point. Really enjoyed the preview, would’ve liked to see the new destruction force but happy enough. Hyped for more previews on the way.
  6. Maybe the hammer banner was for Age of Sigmar:Soul Arena game? PS. Joking
  7. Warcom article says about the Silent People, that they “hibernate and slowly pupate in their hidden cocoons.” Cocoons hatch eventually!! Article also says they’re incredibly violent😳
  8. Really hope the foot slogging Akhelian is a sign of things to come! Would love to have some elite infantry, possibly even a king (or prince) on foot.
  9. Just go to war.com The video box is waiting for it to start
  10. I know, I’m just saying it’s not like destruction have had no new models this edition. Edit: Actually, thinking about it Gloomspite were released in 2.0 as well weren’t they?
  11. Don't forget that destruction did get Sons of Behemat not too long ago. Agree tho, that it would be nice for destruction to have some time in the spotlight.
  12. So will this just basically be GREENSKINZ redone? Effectively bringing back the smaller than Ironjawz orruks that were around in the old world?
  13. Don’t get rid of the grand alliances, we’ll have to rename the forum😂
  14. Casual play, no problem, go for it! A quick conversation before a game to talk your opponent through your list and you’re all good. Local tournament, might get away it. Depends on TO More serious tournament. Hmm, probably not. I think as long as there is some visual distinction between units which are similar then you should be more likely to get away with it. For example if you have a Stegadon and an Engine of the Gods, how is your opponent meant to tell them apart? If one was painted a different colour, it will be clear which is which. Same with other similar looking units, be it infantry models or heroes. Personally, I wouldn’t have a problem playing against such an army with no weapons, they could shooting lasers from their eyes for all I care. Not everyone with feel the same tho. You ask about rules, the closest thing is in the FAQ there is a Q about proxying models. The answer is that it is frowned upon due to the confusion caused, but allowable with the opponents permission. In a tournament setting, the TO makes the rules!
  15. Could also possibly be a conversion using the Anvil of blood vampire custom hero rules also in the issue?
  16. I don’t mind the idea of generic battalions, as long as it is in addition to the existing ones. I love the way they allow for army themed special rules. For example the KO battalion rules are great and fluffy. Focused fire (start of shooting, pick an enemy unit, reroll 1’s to hit) captures well the idea of coordinated target priority in a shooty force. Iron sky command gives battle shock immunity bubble around ironclad. I don’t see how generic battalions will give the same level of flavour in rules. By all means have some generic choices that everyone can use (especially for those armies whose battalions are less worth it), but I hope they don’t take away the current ones completely.
  17. Page 90 of BR:Teclis would cover these battalions as it mentions they are an update to the relevant battletomes.
  18. Really glad to see the warcry rules for the showdown between Light of Eltharion and Arkhan. Thought it was odd that BR:Teclis missed out that cool bit of the narrative in the scenarios section, makes more sense now
  19. @Koradrel of ChraceYeah, good point. I’m excited for 3.0 but that’s one of the rumours I hope isn’t true. I love the idea of generic battalions, just as long as they don’t completely replace all the existing battalions. I really like the way some battalions are themed to the army and they have, up to now, served as collecting benchmarks for me mentally. In the BR series up to this point some armies have only received a new battalion. Seems a shame to only get a few months of use out of them for them to be scrapped. I’d be very happy if they just added the generic ones on top as a balancer for armies who have trash battalion options.
  20. A list I'm playing with in my head currently is Syar Teclis Cathallar Loreseeker - (Lambent light) 10 x wardens 10 x wardens 20x sentinels 20x sentinels Auralan legion Sanctum of Amyntok Twinstones Aethervoid pendulum 3 drop 1990pts List is a toned down version of the 1 drop sentinel spam list from a while back. Loreseeker replaces need for spell portal to cast Lambent light, possibly deploying mid field to benefit from Teclis +1 to cast bubble. Alternatively, Loreseeker can be deployed aggressively in the backfield to cast the pendulum through opponents backline. I put Teclis in as well for the sheer utility of his casting efficiency and range of spells. If Teclis casts twin stones and then I hop back and forth between a unit and Teclis for casting, draining and charging the stones each time should be at ave +3 to cast. Obviously depending on who the opponent is may dictate the deployment and general tactics, but I think it's not bad for flexibility.
  21. I've wondered if there is mileage in using him with the sanctum of amyntok, for -1 to hit, +2 to save (+1 from sanctum, +1 from lone agent (+3 if you snort a quartz)). In melee he has the chance of doing MW's back to attackers for a bit of extra damage. Or sanctum and blade lords for -2 to hit, +1 to save (+2 with quartz), and wound shrug ability.
  22. The back banner is very reminiscent of the cathallar back banner, but more organic/tree-like? Could be Sylvaneth. The vines, or tentacles could even be shadow tendrils? Could this be the first look at a shadow aelf?
