  1. Not to get too off topic, but I really wish they would come out with spell decks like the old days. At the very least the realm spells need a deck, to cut down having two additional books on the table.
  2. I would do 3 things to hit Nagash personally. *Change Hand of Dust (too swingy imo, and most certainly an NPE when it goes off). *Make it so the 2nd spell portal must be placed further than 9" from enemy models (mostly to stop the portal/HoD combo). *When casting realm spells, all wizards ignore bonuses to casting rolls (this is for more than just Nagash).
  3. The foot and flying models are almost half the size of the mounted one, same for base size. I agree that true line of sight is terrible, but they are easier to hide, factually. You can also hide them behind terrain features. Los also matters for charges and some spells, that's where it come into play for the vampire.
  4. Each of the 3 options has its own ups and downs. On foot and flying both have smaller profiles, so are easier to block. Flying and on horse are the faster options. Flying is the only version that can fly other models and terrain. And while things specifically ignore forests when tracing line of sight to him, as a double edged sword, he ignores the forest too.
  5. You can always go with an on foot or nightmare mounted vampire (my personal choice).
  6. The warscroll for forests says "Models are not visible to each other if an imaginary straight line 1mm wide drawn between the closest points of the two models crosses over more than 1"of the base of a Citadel Wood. This scenery rule does not apply if either model can fly." And the Sylvaneth FAQ states that wildwoods also have citadel woods rules: "Q: Does the Overgrown Wilderness scenery rule apply to the Citadel Woods that make up a Sylvaneth Wyldwood? A: Yes."
  7. Best thing to do with a Vampire Lord to keep him alive, is to hide him in a forest, since 1" blocks line of sight. Wont protect him if he or the unit targeting him has fly though.
  8. I don't exactly see the Hex Wraith thing above as powerful. Costs a CP, requires you to be using Hex Wraiths (not exactly an A+ unit, as much as I love them). That being said, I do not feel it functions. They are removed from the table, and then placed back onto it. In game terms they don't pass over anyone or anything physically.
  9. Well it does not have a points value as far as I know. The GHB and Battletome points are quite specifically for a GoS w/ NL. That might create problems bringing the MG variant to an event, and why its not listed in the app.
  10. Quite awhile ago. It never even got an AoS warscroll, even though several other oop models did.
  11. And I believe that not just meant to be a plain Chaos Dragon, but an Emperor Chaos Dragon. One of the Forge World models that never got a warscroll sadly :(. Hope both variants come back someday.
  12. I agree they should be allowed in god armies no problem, and if that is the intent this need to be fixed asap. If it did go the other way, it would be FAR from the only thing in the game that makes no sense though. Sadly developer/writer statements outside an official FAQ are not something that can be taken as law, and the FAQ often swings in direct opposition of these statements. Not to mention these statements simply not being as accessible as the FAQ document. Many DoT players here probably remember when the writer of the DoT book said it was okay to use Destiny Dice on mortal wound rolls. Then the FAQ dropped afterward saying: "no, you can't".
  13. Actually they are allies as the battalion itself lacks the Tzeentch keyword (which makes everything in the battalion an ally, including Tzaangors). And at that point it can't be taken at all as Beasts of Chaos (the battalion keyword) is not a valid Tzeentch ally.
  14. Its on the website as well. Page two from the download PDF. https://www.games-workshop.com/resources/PDF/AoS_Warscrolls/aos-warscroll-slaughterbrute-en.pdf
  15. The disks only have 1 inch though, so you would be giving up a significant chunk of damage keeping them at 2".
  16. I mostly ignore it on offense (too troublesome to set up imo), and see it as something to use on the defensive. I still find it odd that Skyfires got the better version.
  17. While they mathematically perform very similar on average, the spears have a 50% higher ceiling assuming a 3rd equal rank.
  18. Out of curiosity, what are people filling up their remaining 190 points nowadays in 2.0 with for a pretty standard Gore Pilgrims core of: Allegiance: Khorne Wrath Of Khorne Bloodthirster (320) Bloodstoker (80) Bloodsecrator (140) Slaughterpriest (100) Slaughterpriest (100) Slaughterpriest (100) 10 x Blood Warriors (200) 10 x Bloodreavers (70) 30 x Bloodletters (320) 5 x Wrathmongers (180) Gore Pilgrims (200)
  19. Many consider the Bloodstoker critical due to the +3" charge.
  20. Unless they do an FAQ update this weekend telling you to use the new scrolls like they did for LoN when NH came out. Also most places I have played at expect you to use the newest version anyways.
  21. The FAQ wont change the allies list. Its StD or bust. The only the the FAQ might do is give Brass Despoilers the Khorne keyword, so that you can bring that battalion and its units as part of a Blades of Khorne army.
  22. Think I might give this list a spin: Allegiance: Stormcast Eternals Mortal Realm: Aqshy Lord-Celestant On Stardrake (560) - General - Celestine Hammer - Trait: Staunch Defender - Artefact: Ignax's Scales - Mount Trait: Keen-clawed Lord-Castellant (100) Lord-Relictor (100) - Prayer: Translocation Knight-Heraldor (100) Knight-Incantor (140) - Spell: Lighntning Blast 5 x Liberators (100) - Warhammers - 1x Grandhammers 5 x Judicators (160) - Skybolt Bows - 1x Shockbolt Bows 5 x Judicators (160) - Skybolt Bows - 1x Shockbolt Bows 10 x Sequitors (240) - Stormsmite Mauls and Soulshields - 5x Stormsmite Greatmaces 2 x Fulminators (240) Everblaze Comet (100) Total: 2000 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 0 Allies: 0 / 400 Wounds: 97 I would drop the Incantor and probably the Liberators for a LAoGC general and make the Sequitors batteline, but I feel the Stardrake needs staunch defender to be worth it. Thoughts?
  23. Because the battalion itself lacks the Khorne keyword. Per the FAQ, even if all units in a battalion have the correct keyword, if the battalion itself lacks said keyword, everything counts as allies. Its the same reason that the Everchosen battalions can no longer be used in god armies.
