  1. Could possibly bake feeding frenzy in. If they kill a model they get to fight again, but only one additional activation.
  2. I mentioned this Rumour Engine and the image around the full reveal but was told it was the bloodborne models, which it technically is but having another look that's not any of the 3 from CC. There are two additional Bloodborne on Radukar the Beasts base, one which is kneeling with a sword balanced that way, but I don't think it lines up with the rumour engine exactly, and the pommel/grip is different. This Rumour Engine is something different, I think. Either an unreleased Bloodborne Hero from a canned expansion or something different indeed.
  3. Makes me think I'll get my copy on the 18th then.
  4. Yeah when is the WD out? I have the subscription and it usually arrives on a Tuesday, hope it's next week. I've also realised I can likely proxy 60 Ghouls as zombies, at least initially, so can focus initial hobby on the heroes.
  5. My day one preorder will likely include the models I like and/or am confident will be used in play. I already have enough Death to cover a 2k legion of blood/nagash so not in need of all of it. I'm expecting to be ordering 3 boxes of zombies, a box of blood knights (could end up meh but I want 5 just to paint anyway) and the limited edition book, plus hopefully the Vengorian Lord. New dire wolves are nice, though I already have 10 fenrisian wolves and I'll wait and see how Radukar/Belladamma end up rules wise, though I reckon I'll get one of everything just for the collection eventually.
  6. If the leaks for Zombies are correct I expect at least one horde to be the go to for competitive play. I'm already preparing to run 60 of them but likely won't go higher. One big tarpit plus a necromancer and corpse cart to support, then wolves to flank and the rest filled with hammer units.
  7. I presume we will get 5 bloodlines total, the new Vyrkos and Avengorian plus bloodlines for each of Mannfred, Neferata and possibly Vhordrai?
  8. So when do we get our own sub-forum, like half of order has?
  9. With how closely tied to Seraphon they are (with Bound Spells) I think it's unlikely. I'd like to see generic spells retire though, I think they've had their day, but it would mean every race would need their own to compensate. Maybe I'm just salty over Lambent Light through a spell portal.
  10. Nighthaunt FAQ - designers commentary.
  11. You can't dispel your own ES with banshees in the same turn it was put down anymore. The FAQ for Nighthaunt corrected it to start of the hero phase.
  12. We haven't seen the rules yet. The book might be jam packed with flavour; several different bloodlines to tailor your army as you want. We got some new sculpts, some redesigns and hopefully some new warscrolls for existing units. I can't wait to sink my teeth in to it.
  13. The FEC book lore section confirms Varghulfs to be the most favoured Mordants, they're not fallen Abhorants.
  14. Seeing as we're army wish listing, here's mine Mortarch (Mannfred, Neferata or this new Lauka Val) Vamp Lord on Zombie Dragon Foot/Mounted Vamp Lord Necromancer One big tarpit of zombies Couple of units of dire wolves Blood Knights Fell Bats
  15. I'm considering picking up a box of Harridans and running Olynder in Sorrowmourn Choir and Reikenor in his procession along with Shroudguard. Gravelords release will delay that though.
  16. Hopefully the charge roll happens after, so there's a chance to catch the unit and instantly destroy them.
  17. The fact they're calling it an Undead battle report and Undead legions makes me think sub allegiances will split and/or favour the Soulblight or Gravelords differently. Still to be taken alongside eachother, but with distinct differences perhaps?
  18. OBR performed poorly mostly because of Tzeentch. The teleporting and sheer ranged Mortal Wounds was the paper to OBR's rock. A lot of "top" players took Tzeentch to tournaments that would otherwise have taken OBR. It just didn't have it's moment and it most definitely was very, very strong upon release.
  19. Smashbat will kill the Mega with an artefact comfortably if you get +2 attacks.
  20. A few people have made good points, that Mortal Wounds as an "on hit" effect should trigger on the Wound Roll, not the Hit Roll. This would help to curb their output and allow things like the current iteration of "look out sir" to actually work. You can stack -3 to hit on a hero, in cover, out of line of sight on your board edge and they will still be sniped by Sentinels from their own deployment zone without a care in the world.
  21. Yeah, I hope you're right and hopefully the fact that it's an ability will help. I will write in to the FAQ team about it and I would encourage others to do the same. Regarding precedence, I was referring solely to official GW publications. Unless you are referring to a third case, I would not take this person's opinion/interpretation as evidence, despite their good standing. Similarly those blogs are just that, blogs. They may not have spent more than a brief moment reviewing the warscroll before passing comment. Goonhammer is great but weighted towards 40k, and Bell of Lost Souls has history of being click baity and factually incorrect. I wouldn't take their stance as evidence. I'm sorry if I'm being pessimistic, but this is the kind of thing that I do think needs to be addressed and considered fully before going out and playing games. Most people would probably agree with you if they didn't know, hence why i feel the burden is on the active player to play honestly. I think we've presented our arguments so the rest is up to GW and being upfront with opponents - "here are the rules, here's how I interpret them, are you okay with this?" and crack on.
  22. You should definitely look in to Reikenor and a Spirit Torment.
  23. @EnixLHQ It's fair and logical that he has this interpretation (just as you and many others did) but I would just be cautious moving forward, as another TO could rule the opposite and I don't think your friend/manager is aware of the DoK FAQ. As we have discussed, the wording and application is basically the same as with Hagg Narr, and that interaction was specifically FAQ'd to not work on Mortal Wounds. Moreover, what your friend is saying applies to the Hagg Narr FAQ, it too names the Fanatical Faith trait, but GW ruled the opposite way. It obviously needs an FAQ, but if you plan to run him at a tournament I would check with the TO first, and be sure to give them all the facts including the FAQ, as a precedence has been set. From my side, unless an FAQ states otherwise, I will always assume that "Mortal Wounds" get the regular 6+ save and any "Wounds" will get upgraded to 5+ whilst under his ability, and I would advise others to follow this logic unless you want to set yourself up for potential disappointment (within a competitive environment, if you and your friends are happy to agree otherwise that's a different scenario).
  24. No the "real" Smashbat uses Bilious Decanter along with the Grave Robber command trait for the maximum one turn output.
  25. It will be the Anvil of Apotheosis stuff, they've been in the last few WD's. FEC and OBR had one in March, now Chaos in April. I presume it's good filler content for a few pages for them.
