  1. Thoughts on the Iron Demon War Engine? I hardly ever see it on anyone's lists. I have a line on one but not sure I need it really given my Hell & Magma cannons, other than it can add to the Magma's mvt.
  2. Hi Everyone, I have a couple compare/contrast questions: Slann Starmaster vs Lord Kroak Stegadon vs Engine Of Gods Skinks vs. Chameleon Skinks Kroak's spell casting abilities are insane. I already have a Slann but could I field both? Do people just prefer the Slann cuz it is cheaper? I have a Stegadon already but could easily convert it to the EotG. Given that the points cost are the same, not sure which is preferable or if I should devise it so that I can swap the model back-and-forth between the two depending on the type of game I'm playing. I do have 20 Skinks but was wondering if the Chameleons are worth replacing them with in a terrain heavy game due to their Perfect Mimicry. I am also intrigued by their Ambush ability.
  3. I was debating using the Chalice, might go back to that. I like the Hellcannon for two reasons: mortal wounds output & distraction (the few opponents I've played target it because of its size, leaving the Magma alone until too late). For Azgorh, I have another 10 x Infernal Guard Ironsworn & 10 x Infernal Guard Fireglaives. And another Infernal Guard Command. Have a bid in on a Deathshrieker. Don't own any other Chaos units but could change that on a good recommendation. Am totally new to all this so no real inventory to choose from.

The above plus Oracular Visions is pretty helpful; casting Daemonic Power on Taur'ruk is gonna be awesome! Plus, given my lack of cavalry/mobility, I added Furies to my list and if they get killed quickly, the Sorcerer Lord can summon more. That was my thinking after seeing him allied to a lot of LoA lists I found online.

  7. Thanks for this. I thought with Open Play the ally points thing wasn't an issue? I'd need to acquire a Lord Ordinator, another Ballista, and those Razordons in order to put the above together. Prolly can't do that in time for this first event but maybe in time for the next one.

  11. I have another newb question: the Icon Of Dominion Bearer -- is it the same as a Battle Standard Bearer but instead of being an individual unit, it is part of your Ironsworn unit?

  13. I should've clarified this is an Open Play event so Ally points don't matter. I've decided to drop the second Warhost. Why only one item? Am a total newb to AoS and forgot I could take a second one. Am adjusting my list accordingly.

  16. Hail Hashut! A very generous friend recently gifted me a Blackshard Warhost and I am excited to delve into the Legion... expect me to be popping up with questions presently.
  17. As a Swifthawk fan, that bums me out as with their old battalion, they were quite playable and fun.
  18. That's good to hear. Would like to see him get them through a tourney or two before they're phased out. I'm happy playing Open so I'll be seeing them a lot but it is nice when people who never even consider Aelf factions scoff that SHA and then get whupped.
  19. They're beautiful all painted up, such a shame. At least he can play them in Open/Narrative.
  20. My take away from the last few pages here is that my friend's newly-acquired, freshly painted Swifthawk Agents army is basically DOA. That's a shame, they are so much fun to play against and really just need a few minor tweaks to be really competitive.
  21. Any idea if Swifthawk Agents will survive? One of my favorite opponents has a great army of them and I'd hate to see them squatted. As someone building a Seraphon army, I'm psyched about these rumors.
