  1. What's the point of taking multiple battalions? Since they are fairly costy and the range of the ability is rather short (wholly within 12'') ?
  2. Yeah...Desperately to see more preview of GHB2019, just want to see some actual changes for some guys in my local just keep conveying negative info about the balance of AOS, which is quite depressing...
  3. Has any one tried going heavy with endless spell? I've seen that the shackles and shards and the FEC's wall work surprisingly well.
  4. Slaanesh army is some kind of afraid of shootings. Go with Anvil or even Ballistas to stop KoS form getting to much DPs from your men. It might take some screen like skinks and aetherwings though. FEC is a bit tricky because, you know, they are FEC. But just read what Pjetski wrote above about his match against Gristlegore, I believe most of games with FEC could finish like that.
  5. What about Lofnir Fyreslayers and FEC goes heavy on flayers?
  6. Agree with that...It's so urgent for GW to put some serious restriction to summoning if they do want 1k game to be playable.
  7. Hey guys, how do you deal with heavy shooting armies? I've found plague monks and acolytes die out soon by some good shootings and their damage drops significantly when the model counts drop. Since we don't get to summon new rat, that could be a problem.
  8. Congrat! Curious about some matches and how you won the game, especially against FEC and the monks list.
  9. Yes, I have played against this type of list, but he ran 9 instead of 6. They just got buffed up and wiped out most of my army (SCE)in a single turn.
  10. Have my first Skaven game today! It was against Fyreslayer, as I mentioned above, and luckily I won the game. This is the first time that I played a horde army in AoS, the models are so numerous, which is contradictory to what I played before (SCE and Sylvaneth), that it takes much time to deploy and move, and roll dices for plague monks of course! The video above helps a lot too, to slow down the hearthguards. It feels all new to play a different type of army and I am glad that plague monks just performed even better than I expected. Now I can see that they are solver for anything. I think I will dive deeper in this army and try other tactics and shenanigans, hoping to have you guys' wisdom.
  11. How’s that? I can’t see our army heavy on monsters.
  12. Quick question: do you often put MMMWP on Jezzails? They are so vulnerable that taking D3 mortal wounds may reduce they missile output.
  13. @Riff_Raff_RascalThx for advice (again!). Finally come up with this with my favorite units: Allegiance: SkaventideGrey Seer on Screaming Bell (200)- General- Trait: Master of Magic - Lore of Ruin: Death FrenzyPlague Priest on Plague Furnace (180)Verminlord Corruptor (260)Warlock Bombardier (100)- Artefact: Vigordust Injector - Lore of Warpvolt Galvanism: More-more-more Warp Power!40 x Clanrats (200)- Rusty Spear20 x Clanrats (120)- Rusty Spear20 x Clanrats (120)- Rusty Spear9 x Warplock Jezzails (420)40 x Plague Monks (240)- Foetid BladesWarp Lightning Vortex (100)Vermintide (40)Soulsnare Shackles (20)Total: 2000 / 2000Extra Command Points: 0Allies: 0 / 400Wounds: 181 It looks great but I am considering switching the corruptor with warbringer to get double Death Frenzy, which is enlightenment from @Riff_Raff_Rascal, to make monks 21 attacks each!
  14. Sound solid but I assume when they have 3+r1 save and 4+fnp, it would become less handy to deal with them.
  15. The problem is when they are Vorstag or the prayer goes off, they get to run and charge, making it hard to ignore them. Maybe I should snipe off his general and the priest to slow them down a little, or use the shackles. Thx for your experience anyway!
  16. Actually Evos just fix in most list for they are obviously solid choice. In an anvil list, they wipe out enemy who comes close, and even get to get CA to attack in hero phase. In a Staunch Defender list or a Stardrake list, they are powerful melee support and valuable to unbind spell and dispell some endless. They are so good that I almost auto-include them every list.
  17. Haven’t faced Fyreslayer yet. Is our army hitting hard enough to eliminate them?
  18. How do you guys deal with 30 hearth guard berserkers that are so killy and so tough that you can’t eliminate them with Evocators in an Anvil list
  19. 5 Evocators do: 16 attacks, 3+/3+, no rend, 2 damages each, with 5 mortal wounds, that’s 12.11 damages against 4+ save. 5 Retributors do: 11 attacks, 3+/3+, 1 rend, 2 damaged each, with their weapon ability causing 4 mortal wounds that’s 8.88 damages against 4+ save. If you take 2 starsoul maces, Retributors may do more mortal wounds, but will also be outclassed by Evocators in normal damages output, not to mention their weapon range, magic ability and stuff. IMHO unless Retributors get significantly points drop, I can’t see any reasons to bring them instead of Evocators.
  20. I am so desperately looking forward to some heavy point drops even some new stuffs for our army. It’s getting harder to compete with newly updated army if we don’t get buffed. Not saying we don’t stand any chances, just arguing that even tiny mistake can lead to complete defeat these days.
  21. @SerpicoIf not Gristlegore, I think smashing on the face with Gav would be much easier...

  23. @Ozzy0sbI have noticed you have fewer drops than your friend so you get to decide who has the first turn. I would recommend giving NH the first turn, keeping distance so they wouldn't be able to charge your units T1 and wouldn't get double turn. Make them come closer to you, and you empower your troops and charge with them all. Usually it will hit REALLY hard. And if you get double turn I believe there wouldn't be too many of NH left.
