  1. This year's calendar looks awesome! Doomed Lands and Through fire and smoke are pdf only releases, right?
  2. sorry I forgot to link the source ^^U https://www.cubicle7games.com/warhammer-production-update-2021/
  3. so I was reading the production update on Soulbound and something has clicked. They've made a production update for 2021, and for the AoS Soulbound line there is this listed: They recently tied the release of one of the adventures in Shadows of the Mist campaign book with the release of Broken Realms:Morathi, since it was set in Anvilgard. soo... I'm starting to believe this could be another hint to a Soulblight/Legions of Nagash army release... or not, since there is also scheduled a Champions of Destruction book...
  4. I'm always been wondering if this on the battletome cover really is a stormcast with spear and shield...
  5. And even Stormcast initial release wasn't that masive. Paladins and Prosecutors had several build options, but there were basically 5 units. Liberators, gryph hounds, Judicators, Paladins and Prosecutors. I think is the enormous rooster of characters (9) that they started with and that they released Extremis Chamber within a year that makes Stormcast release look that big.
  6. In the chaos book allies are listed at the beginning of the book 😑 as always no consistency between books 😂
  7. fleshhounds are now on Bloodbound lists, as well as gryph-hounds that can be taken by sacrosanct, warrior and vanguard. also... I'm checking... ¿is chaos the only book that has allies?
  8. I'm going to double down. Vampire Witch hunters.
  9. if you mean the character cards, they've expanded the roosters quite a bit, so it's more convenient to get the book. Although I still find the cards more useful when playing than checking the book (but you could use your own made cards or your phone...) if you mean the battleplan cards, I think some of them are printed on the core rulebook, but I'm not sure if in the rulebook are all the cards. So you could start without.
  10. if you already have some terrain you don't even need to get one of the ravaged lands sets. With the destruction book you would be probably set. If you need some terrain, one of the sets would be enough probably. The terrain arrangement by default works with the starter sets terrain (original or catcombs), but those are just suggestions and is encouraged to use whatever terrain you have. And each terrain set comes with its own deploiment cards.
  11. probably when Mannfred changed style setted a trend. All vampires predating bald Mannfred had hair (not sure about the Sartosa vampire, since he has a funny hat) and since the change we only got baldpires. From 6th edition onwards, vampires started to become lorewise monsters in disguise, and now in AoS they're still in the transition limbo. I'm really looking for their AoS makover!
  12. it's probably nothing, but as a Legion of Blood player waiting for a renovation, I'm totally riding the *put here your kind of vampire* train and this picture has crows and vampires...
  13. I was thinking on trying a full gnoblar warband just for fun.... - using this guys as a "count as" leader (Irongut Gutlord with proper scenic base) - 1x Gnoblar Mournfang Riders (another count as) - 10x Gnoblars ¿what do you think of the idea?
  14. Checked the cards and couldn't find any reference to non announced wabands (if anyone has founs anything please correct me). Also the lore talks about how when trapped in amber the silent ones reverted to a kind of "larvae state" and their sudden awakenkng means that they're not yet fully formed, so they hide. As I understand it this could mean 2 things: - at some point the silentones will form their own warband. - the silentones stuff is just fluff to introduce weapons, armor and items, since when they went into sleep they carried all their belongings.
  15. just flipped over the lore part of the rulebook. The only warbands directly mentioned are the starter ones (slaanesh, lumineth) and the already revealed (Slaves, Seraphon). I didn't play beastgrave, so I don't know how much of the lore was already developed there. But in Direchasm they talk about an alliance of Orcs and Ogres to fight the invading forces from outside Ghur and also keep talking about the silent ones. The part of the silent ones is interesting as they talk about how the silent ones live within the cicles of renovation in Ghur and how they were in the beastgrave sleeping and the premature awakening of the mountain also awaken them, but they are still in their larvae form and went hiding. Not sure if this tidbits could hint to a mixed Ogre/Orc warband or a Silentones. Since they are hiding and not in their prime form looks like the silent ones could be discarded?
  16. just checked the cards on the direchasm box looking for some spoilers regarding new warbands, but nothing that I could find. Anyone else has looked there?
  17. I've been thinking since the roadmap reveal, and at first I was really confident on Bonespitterz, but now I'm starting to think that maybe we really get surprised. For the "vampires" one, there is a rumour engine, that on warboss Kurgan site is said to be a dark eldar, that I think maybe could be one of the vampires hair. What do you think?
  18. It would be nice to be something unexpected, because right now it screams bonesplitterz everywhere
  19. correct me if I'm wrong, but I think we have: - Slaves to Darkness - Seraphon -¿Vampires? - Bonesplitterz - Ossiarch bonereapers - Idoneth Deepkin
  20. Maybe this "lieutenant" characters are made to feature on the new combat patrol boxes
  21. To give more variety to my stormcast army and to create some heroes with the anvil of aphoteosis I was thinking on using Adeptus Custodes, Trajann Valoris to be precise, to build a stormcast hero... I'm thinking on a headswap, removing cables and techy stuff from the axe (maybe switching entirely the shaft for a protector spear). Hiding the backpack grid seems a little bit problematic and the front chest "breather" thing also seems that would require some work. The cape aquila I dont know if its worth trying to remove it, use liquid greenstuff or just leave it as is ¿Anyone has had some experience with something like this? While searching for examples/ideas I've only found stormcast to custodes conversions (I'm kind of jelous of 40k as it seems easier to bring aos stuff there than the other way around)
  22. I think everything is fairly set up until the end of the year, so I wouldn't expect another preview until New Years Open Day.
  23. there's this debate about if warcry should had gone full Necromunda or full KillTeam instead of the inbetween that we got. I think it's a nice midpoint were if you don't want to invest much you can use your terrain and models and just start playing with the core book. And from there you can get as far as you want.
  24. it's going to be interesting how they manage the campaing mode in the catacombs so that it doesn't overlap with Warhammer Quest. Probably it won't look like a dungeoncrawler.
