  1. Horse spell is indeed brutal, and the fence is shackles on steroids with no chance to fail. Goblet is entirely redundant, we have easier access to those effects anyway. The Throne is a big disappointment to me, it just somewhat mitigates the command point tax we shouldn't even be burdened with in the first place to do our army's main shtick, and doesn't even work for GKOZD and GKOTG for some random reason - probably because they're mobile enough that bunching them all around the Throne during deployment isn't "enough of a drawback" to pay for the CP discount.
  2. My money is on a chaos gladiator arena. Any other factions present would at best be prisoners used to give wannabe champions a good challenge. Wild speculation: A gladiator arena would be a neat place to introduce a bunch of new fantastical beasts as antagonists that could then be used in AoS proper.
  3. Really sour reveals for AoS. Forbidden Power: Endless Spells 2, Electric Boogaloo: 17 new ways to deal D3 mortal wounds. The Khorne 3.0 that nobody asked for, with totally not endless spells. Sylvaneth warband for WHU looks well sculpted but a bit samey. War Cry better not mean a discontinuation of WHU. I would assume arena gladiatorial combat between chaos, chaos, chaos and chaos.
  4. So what if it is? It's as daft as saying IDK are broken because Water Cloak Man is stronger than a Varghulf. You have no clue how the rest of the armies' assets measure up nor how much FEC things cost.
  5. That corpse cart really looks awfully specific to just be random filler art. I fear there's no more to this release wave, but I suspect this thing has a CAD model somewhere in someone's "9th edition maybe" folder.
  6. Since you can't field them in units of 20, that's pretty irrelevant to the topic.
  7. That's what I imagine. But it only makes sense if we have at least 2 types of SERF, doesn't it? So that's at least one new thing.
  8. Gentlemen, I have squinted really hard at the Abhorrant Archregent warscroll and I have divulged this: - normal King healing - a spell that adds +D6 to all attacks on a unit wholly within something (looks like 14") - command ability that summons either 1 COURTIER, or one unit of up to 3 REVENANTS or one unit of up to 20 SERFS. So either my eyes are failing, or there's some major renaming going on, or we are getting new stuff. Wild speculation: Serfs are repurposed Zombie kit.
  9. Well, that was the final nail in NDA's shitpost coffin, wasn't it? As a FEC player, sad for no plastic Varghulf, but what we're gettign is already beyond my wildest dreams.
  10. Or how Skaven weren't getting anything beyond Carrion Empire until it was pointed out that the Carrion Empire announcement promised more news for Skaven soon.
  11. No offense, but it's still a rumour to the rest of us. Nothing you've said has panned out yet... tho your Skaven time frame feels right and you posted it before the Carrion Empire announcement
  12. See your meaningless guessing that has no bearing on what I said, you mean? Spawning pools are not mentioned in current Seraphon lore. If the terrain rumour turns out to be true, it gives a lot of credibility to Ndabreaker since we currently have no credible reason to expect spawning pools in any capacity beyond wishful thinking based on Old World themes. That's what I'm saying.
  13. I guess the spawning pool terrain will be the true test, since Seraphon don't use those anymore, so it's either a sloppy guess or a lore retcon that only someone really in the know would know.
  14. The classic excuse. Sounds like a lof of sloppy guesswork to me. We know for a fact that FEC and Skaven are getting more announcements any day now.
  15. Jizzed in my pants. I'm halfway done converting my first one from a Chaos Spawn as I hate failcast, and boy is it tedious.
  16. In the video spoiler at 0:44 there is a more new stuff blurred out. Bottom right, gobbo with what looks like anteater shaped squigs. In the back, a large purple shroom on a 40mm base, with smaller shorroms growing on it, ridden by a gobbo with a double moon banner. To the left of that, a batsquig (white stalagmite underneath). To the right is probably the spider cauldron spell, and further to the right another oddity, something green-yellow.
  17. In case this hasn't been found yet, the updated Tzaangor warscroll has been hiding under the 40k box version (the one with chainswords and autopistols) https://www.games-workshop.com/resources/PDF/Downloads//ENG_AoS_BeastsOfChaos_Tzaangors.pdf Note that units of 9-17 actually got buffed as the blob bonus now adds +1 attack to their beaks too, when it only affected held weapons before.

  19. Man I will be sad if all the noise about grots ends up being just an Underworlds band.
  20. Eh? He's not allying anything. Chaos Warriors can have the TZEENTCH keyword.
  21. Regardless of anything else, surely doubling up on the Horror/Flayer summon is light years above burning the trait for a fourth GK?
  22. They're about equal overall, but over 10 combat rounds the grasp puts out an average of 20 wounds on anything with a 4+ save or worse (and half of that can be from 10" away), while the scythe will do 30+ vs chaff but only 12-13 to a single 4+ save monster. So it really comes down to what type of units you want to hunt.
