  6. I agree. They could do two pages of a generic Lord Warscroll for which you can chose a suffix and gain the corresponding rules. Then chose equipment and voila. example: Lord Chose one: Relictor: Priest Keyword, +1 to chanting rolls, Gains Thundercall and XYZ Ability Heraldor: Gain Thunderblast OR run and charge for a unit. Sraconis: Can chose a Draconic The same goes for Knight XYZ I know they’re writing it all down for simplicities sake and WS Cards but they apparently have lost control over the amount of units. This way they could offer a „Hero Builder“
  7. They were the first for this edition. However imo they‘ve had a difficult start (a lot of useless Scrolls) and things have gotten worse ever since
  8. Army wide 5+ ward against Mortals and we‘re good. Call it Demigods. Alternatively, how about the scaly skin rule fir the whole army? At this point I‘d take anything that‘d make those „demigods“ survive a little longer. (Karazai might even see some play then)
  9. It wouldn’t work well anyways. The Art GW required is very specific and novel. Most current AI Models will fail at trying to replicate such art on a high level of quality.
  10. The rest of the spells isn’t as potent. You also have to roll an unmodified 9+ to get the most out if it, and it must not be unbound. It‘s really nice and puts pressure on your opponent, but it’s not game breaking at all.
  11. What are your thoughts on hunters of huanchi? (Dart pipes) imo they might be cheap enough to be worth their points as a harassing unit (maybe even combined with the terrawings)
  12. Iirc the oldblood on foot can buff them to hit and wound on 2s. At that point they become scary
  13. Spirit Gale has been super good in every single one of my games (even against s2D) within the first two turns I dealt 6x4 Mortal wounds spread across the enemy army. 👌🏻
  14. In my experience units evaporate in an instant (but that's my local meta). However it's nice if a single model survives and keeps blocking the enemy for another turn! Prepare to bring back half strength units.
  15. Correct. But you never know if GW messed it up. So we've had a lengthy discussion about it. A - is prolematik (esp. after translation in this case) To visualize the issue: It's an translation issue since "a" is translated to "one" in my language. If there was more context it could also mean "one of many / one of several". "Any" however is unabiguous and would be perfectly clear in the context of a translation. Neil's method of reversing the conidtion makes it perfectly clear as well. Edit: The Tanslated Version is crystal clear: "wholly within 12" of one or more SBGL hero/Heroes"
  16. Might be the language barrier, but wouldn‘t this sentence need „any“ instead of „a“, since „a hero“ is specific? I‘ll ask in my Group how the german translators interpreted it. thx for the reply!
  17. That‘s what I am talking about. It has to be restricted. Kroak is pretty cheap, that’s a Nagash-Points-Level-Ability. I agree with @Beliman I initially was very upset with Soulblight, however the book plays really well (streamlined) and it mostly feels right. Point costs are also too high on some models and the damage isn’t really there at all. Yet the book works. It’s too soon to talk about win rates though
  18. So, the new healing is a little odd. I‘ve heard people use it as the old one which is wrong. Then people said 3 units they just have to be close to some hero. Meaning 2 units close to one hero and another unit close to a different hero could be picked. Imo that is also wrong. The way I read it is:You pick one hero, if there are three units within range you can heal them, if there are less than 3 in range you can only heal those and the effect ends.   19. They feel about right imo. Kroak is bonkers however: They limit the amount of damage certain attacks can do, but Kroak nuking half the board every Seraphon herophase is fine - what? Kroxigors feel a little too squishy. Saurus and Aggradons feel right! I am a little worried the -1 damage for coalesced still exists. It was perceived as toxic before, yet it remains. I‘d have preferred if they were given a 6+ or 5+ ward.
  20. As our army already has a lot of anvils I‘d have preferred if GG with shields would have gotten a tanky-offense buff in addition to the 4+ save meaning: Rolling an unmodified 6 for a save causes a mortal wound. Now call it cursed shields and they’re good to go.

That’s a general issue imo. - They could’ve gone nuts already with weird fish-creatures for the Idoneth, but they didn’t. - They could’ve gone nuts already with weird snake and Blood-creatures for the Daughters of Khaine, but they didn’t. - They could’ve gone nuts already with weird Tzeentch creatures, but they didn’t - They could’ve gone nuts already with weird Swamp stuff for the Kruleboyz, but they didn’t - They could’ve gone nuts already with weird undead and Construct/Vampire-creatures for the SBGl, but they only did one meh hero. - They could’ve gone nuts already with weird Dinosaur Monsters for Seraphon, but they didn’t. And the list goes on and on
  22. I know what you mean. Their lack of speed also means that the enemy can choose when and with what to engage them, often wiping them off the board with a single unit.
  23. In general, why stop there? imo DoK, Idoneth and perhaps other factions could use some armoured units. Daughters of Khaine: Heavily armored with double-tipped poison Spears. The same unit but as a Cavalry „knight“ unit. - This would tune the faction so much. Now add a big beast that’s not a hero and voila. Idoneth: heavily armoured, non-swimming cavalry or even special infantry.
