  1. Hm any examples? I'm really curious what you have in mind here? I played vs archaon including 6 varanguards and even they with double activation etc don't dish out this much dmg... And yes I am thinking about adding the contorted epitome instead of LoA. Still 2 drops, reliable spell defense with 2 rerolls and important endless spell dispel + signituare spell is RR1 to D3 units which is required for your Blightkings. With the 4 plus you can have first activation... Still due to the low dmg output I don't think this is required... And either way you wont have many Blightkings in range to hit anything most of the time. You don't really think about dmg output here... Just as said defence defence defence... Adding witherstave etc... And hoping at the end of round 5 to have more objective scoring points than your opponent...
  2. Agree about the playstyle it's kind of a mortal tallyband... You do a little more dmg but not too much. It's just about holding objectives and I totally understand if somebody says this is not his playstyle and tbh it is way more boring than participating in the whole game with spells, move shananigans and great combat option. But without mixing too much std and pestilence in I don't see a chance to do so on a competetive side as nurgle
  3. Hm dont think you need a screen. You will take turn 1 and run on objectives with harbinger command. LoB command I would only use if a Blightking blob is in combat with a big shooting unit. Otherwise it's not worth the CP. The chaos warhounds are a good call but really, do I care if the enemy is charging 81 wounds 4up and 5 fnp? Still the model count and if a good mobile player is tagging your 20 blocks somewhere it's hard for you. This is why you always want to take first turn and run them 4+6+1 on objectives.
  4. This list is really tempting. Changing morbidex vs LoA or a good caster and it's nice and clean. Over 200 life to chew through and with 20er blocks its easier to keep them within 7 of Harbinger. And what can kill 81 wounds save 4 up and 5 up fnp? With only 20 models even the horde clearing spells and abilities won't hurt too much. I think it will only struggle on scenarios with many objectives and heavy debuff/control armies. But man 45 Blightkings... Very expensive and a lot to paint... On the other hand the army will look very cool though
  5. Hm yeah that's for sure. Maybe a kind of more eye catching conversion would help. But with the standard models I totally agree. The army is lagging a kind of visual center piece. Hm what about bloab? He is way more interesting in your army than morbidex. He's a caster, so chance to turning the wheel or cast blades or whatever and his own signituare spell is quite good with blessed sons: in every phase the target gets any dmg, he additional gets D3... With the ability to make a MW if a BK dies you can hit the enemy with this spell in quite a lot of phases: Your hero phase (tree, ability of blightkings, LoA), your shooting phase with LoB, Bloab and BKs within 3 of LoB, of course your combat phase and last but not least in enemy combat phase if they kill a Blightking within 3 due to blessed sons ability on 2+ 😅 could stag pretty good in the right situation..
  6. You can play 3 battalion with min requirements. Plague cyst, blight cyst and blessed sons but I don't think it is more competetive than your list (but 1 drop :D). One point I would consider changing in your list is swapping morbidex with a LoA. he is more mobile can carry the witherstave very well and the most important his RR 1s to hit for rotbringer is crucial for your list. You have 40 points left with this change maybe additional reducing one 20 block to 15 BKs and adding for the 140 points a Gutrod Spume... But not sure about this change. You losing 5 blightkings and increasing your drops by 1 for adding gutrot and a weak deepstrike option.
  7. I totally agree and I think the book is a very good and fun one About the command traits for zilfin and urbaz, you know that you don't have to take them (just choose another general) and therefore you are pretty flexible = good
  8. Yeah it's sad. And even the rest of the mhornar port abilities is in the details so stupid... Why once fight first and then adding "in your combat phase". It wouldn't be overpowered or anything if it would give us the the chance to fight first once a game in general... The set-up you already explained why it is way worse than zilfin... One small benefit vs the zilfin move is that you don't need the transport endrinwork on your ship to redeploy 15+ dwarfs... But in mhornar only arkanauts are battleline and therefore you always have at least 4 - 5 drops and you will be out dropped in 50% of your games. RR battleshock in enemy territory is kind of useless because thunderers already have the ability and arks around objectives too. Only riggers may profit from that outside a iron sky battalion. The minus bravery one is a hard one to judge in my opinion. First view I don't see any use... First what means 1 bravery less to 90% of the armies? Second we don't want to be too much in the melee fight anyway and in sniping key pieces it doesn't help too. Rund and shoot turn 1 sounds very good. With a closer look you will recognize beside maybe arkanauts you don't have to run anything in your army turn 1... So the zilfin always run 6 is golden in comparison. At least the artefact is just the best artefact in the book... That's way I'm so upset with mhornars other abilities... Because I want this artefact :D I will try mhornar nevertheless. Loving the challenge and playing outside the mainstream which looks like zilfin/urbaz... (can we even play mainstream if we play kharadron? 😅)
  9. Thanks man. But then what's the benefit out of it? Is it out of sequence and I can select another of my units in combat to fight directly afterwards? Or is it simple to counter other fight first or fight last stuff from other armies 🤔
  10. What wait, Really? Omg I understood fight first in ONE combat phase... Is the English version really in YOUR combat phase? This would be so bad... And I banked on this ability in my list building
  11. Ty. Sadly I need the CP really hard. Normally I would take the aetherquartz brooch instead of the required mucktalon too So you are right not for rerollong 1s or anything. It's for the important run turn1 if I need that 6 or an important battleshock turn2 or 3 when the enemy is fully hitting you. And don't forget you normally want to keep LoB CA up on 2x30 plaguebearers... So you starving on CPs already... I tried the lifeswarm but for only D3 to 1 unit I felt like it isn't worth it and the 1 extra CP is worth a lot and very flexible as mentioned above. Sadly I don't have my brooch anymore...

  14. ... But you can't have all the putrids aorund LoP anyway... And tbh plague cyst isn't worth it at all... Only goodie it's needed for blessed sons battalion so you paying 180 points for 2 battalions means 2 Cps 2 artefakts and 1 drop army. And yes LoP and the whole plague cyst is more like a tax cost. But within this list everyone is rerolling saves of 1. You got 4 blightkings in plague cyst which you can try to bubble wrap your LoP for the reroll 1s and 2s... And you got 3 blightkings in blight cyst for rend. And don't forget you get the 2 great artefacts whiter stave and rustfang. Still everything with 80 marauders is more competetive its just my 2 cents about the blessed sons battalion which was asked for in an older comment
  15. If blessed sons battalion I would recommend trying this one. It's 1 drop with 3 artefacts and 3 CP, so 4 CPs first turn. You got blight cyst in there as well for 3x5 blightkings LoP has to get the blessed sons arzafecat but can't choose it in the warscroll builder currently.   16. Its 4 units of plaguebearers or / and drones so it's a valid list. My first thought was why is he adding tallyband anyway but after thinking about it, it is quite useful. Extra CP and second artefact (which always should be the witherstave) lower drops and at least little bit healing. If the list is strong enough without blades to kill anything I don't know. In my games the drones always didn't do much dmg even buffed up (only blades without hit debuffs works with them). So im not sure how the new sub factions helps us with dmg dealing. On the other hand it helps getting more tanky for sure
  17. Hm I think you don't get my point. And no way I want a specific type of model be as good as xy... All I am saying it's sad to have to play 7 times more official StD models than pure maggotkin. I don't have issues with allys within the 400 points range. But I decided to play my maggotkin und trying to get the best out of them without playing 85% StD models, just feels bad man And I totally get why he is doing it and that it is one of the strongest options for us currently. Im not as noobish as I may sound sometimes
  18. I like your post and appreciate that u share it with us. Also Gratulations to reaching your goal, best nurgle ITC not bad! On the other hand it kind of shows the poor side of maggotkins state too. 3:2 best nurgle vs armees which were not the biggest S tiers. But which is troubling me the most is your list. Sorry to say that, but it's 82 STD models vs 13 real maggotkin models. And thereof you played 80 marauders which are the new plaguemonk style. It's just sad that it looks like you are pushed to grab the strongest "allys" option to even work out a 3:2. Just looking forward to a new tome or the right adjustments which makes pure maggotkin going 3:2 / 4:1.
  19. Sorry it says you only can take 1 enemy unit... So no chance of more than 3 mws... And additional the own unit need to be wholly within 14 of friendly rotbringer hero... So it's a chance of 3 mws for a CP... Only in very very niche and specific situation worth it, I think.
  20. Yeah it would be bonkers if you could decide after the wounds if you pull the CA or not... This way it's a risky gamble for a CP... Which we need very badly with a mortal heavy Armee...
  21. Hm how is this? High armor single targets got most likely: 1) high bravery and 2) vs high armor saves we don't likely get too many attacks through with only rend1? Or do you mean with high armor saves like "bad" armor saves? Than I would understand it 😅 but still vs bad armor saves I most likely don't need extra 3 dmg for a CP because blightkings rocks vs bad saves
  22. I see the idea and as mentioned, I think it's fun. But your idea will crumble pretty fast due to CPs... You want to use harbi each turn, the LoB CA some turns and you should have a CP in the pocket at least for battleshock test of the marauders... besides the 6 run, which is kind of a free CP a turn the blessed sons don't offer to much... And additional you have to take the artefakt which is at least better than the wanderers Also I have problems with holding or capturing objectives in this blightkings heavy armees I think my personnel change to your list would be to change the marauders with 30 plaguebearers as objective holders One other question, is the GUO allowed to take the blessed sons artifact?
  23. Can you go a little bit more into detail here? I see the benefit in the wanderers sub faction besides the ****** artefact but blessed sons shenanigans? I mean sure, it makes our blight cyst stronger due to 6er runs and if not playing vs nurgle a little bit of mortal wounds but I think this will be no issue because you won't play to many blightkings and if you play like 30 it's some mortals like 25 if all of your models are dead...? I dont see very cool interactions here. Like I said yes it s better with blessed son than without it but some jucy stuff?
  24. Right I forgot, Fyreslayers isn't a one trick pony too and the game isn't about counter each others tactics and army compositions. Sorry that you don't have a book like tzeentch at the moment and facerolling everyone 5:0... Yeah you have to do a little bit more to win games but this goes for all the other armies too, maybe beside the current top 5 or something. That's life. If you feel that way, why you don't switch always to S tier Armee like some other power gamers? By the way I think looking in the future there is great potential for std because the tools are there. Just some point reduction could push std pretty hard.
