  1. Hey guys, I lime to play AOS "lorelike" and do not have to be supercompetetive. Ofc when i would play an official tournament i would try to squeeze out the max to be the most efficient. So i was lookin to make a pure Nurgle Daemon army, and it doesnt have to be the best army, but i also dont want to loose all the time. I made the following list and the idea is big blobs of plaguebeares that are buffed by the GUO and scrivener and Horti and a menagerie to spam feculants to get me contagion points so i can summon, summon, summon.. What do you think? PureNurgleDaemon.pdf
  2. Thx for the response. Yeah, im a sucker for fluff..... I also feel i can win some games here and there...if i play corrrectly i could have the 5+ save on all my units. Dis res. as a ability of the LoA and the morbid vigor trait of harby on himself and the PBK. Come to think of it, does morbid vigor work on harb himself?
  3. Hey guys, What's your thoughts on using Lord of Afflictions as the champion for a path to glory warband? I noticed that in Maggotkin you can take the Lord of Afflictions and 3 followers. So I thought let's get LoA, Harbinger and a unit of PBK. Now i noticed that in the handbook path to glory 2, in the Nurgle section the option of LoA is left out. Could it be that this is to overpowered against other warbands in AOS2, or could i just use the maggotkin book for makin the warband. I also noticed that if you take a great unclean one you can have 3 followers instead of the 2 given in Maggotkin book. Any thoughts?
  4. Thx! This answers my question. If im correct the 3rd bullet (your last statement) was explicitely stated in Designers commentary June 2018. Well now i know this i’m gonna try out a plague cyst with glottkin. On a unit of 10 PBK with an extra attack, and re-roll faild rolls and blades of putrefaction cast on that unit, i might hit and wound somehing for sure!
  5. Sry, yeah i meant for the putrid blightkings, I see i forgot to mention that. For the PBK on the to hit rolls each 6 counts as D6, instead of 1. So you re-roll these to obtain the new number for the wound roll. When the Lord of plagues is aroun, with his wanton slaughter, you can re-roll your 1's. So if you re-roll these ones do then at that re-roll the 6s you roll count for D6 instead of 1. And the other question was if this then also would apply for the blades of putrefaction. Re-roll 1's they become a 6 is that then a mortal wound? I hope i made myself clearer now....
  6. Hey guys a quick question. If i run a plague cyst, or just the lord of plagues, when i re-roll my failed hit rolls, or just the ones, do the sixes then again count as D6? And if i had used blades of putrefaction on a unit, does for the re- roll the sixes count as mortal wounds again? Thx in advance.
  7. Wow nice pics! Thx for the response guys! Gonna get me a bunch in my local shop tomorrow....
  8. So i was lookin at this picture to get some inspiration while painting my blight kings, when suddenly i see those warriors in the back.... To my big surprise i see they’re chaos warriors, and now i have seen them in this picture i wants them too! Never liked them at first since i thought they looked weird, but now i have changed. Does anyone have any tips for me with respect to some nurgly painting scheme, and what weps might be best to equip them with? Thx in advance.
  9. Why dont you try them all out?! All those options have their own pros and cons, i guess i woukd opt for an army with the poxbringer, but im a sucker for magic. (Oh they all have the poxbringer...lol) Anyhow, big blob battlelines can save the day. ?
  10. Wow thanks for your elaborate explanation. And i was goin to use him in my next battle with a beast of Nurgle, since i had 100 points left and not much other models to fill in the gap. ( So using the acidic slime trail of the beast, and then hopefully roll that 4+, so you have damage in movement phase for the daemon flies right!) thx for sharing your thoughts, again.
  11. You got a point there! So might use it if you have an opponent who can debuff your hitt rolls to 4+ or higher.... Anyhow, great job at the tournament! Last thing I as curious about, you as a experienced nurgle player, whats your opinion on using Bloab in small battles 1000-1500?
  12. Im not that experiencd in the whole Warhammer AOS, but I reasoned the plague cyst would be worth taking if the rend from the blight cyst is useless, for instance against Nighthaunt. On the other hand the throwing with heads in the blight cyst might be worth it on its own. But as i said not that much experience, rerolling failed rolls (plague cyst) seems good with blight kings, especially if you roll sixes after...?
  13. Hmm oke, i see your point, but Bloab can unbind too and he has an abilitie to lower the casting of an enemy wizard by one.
  14. I guess this has been adressed several times probably, but are the Magothlords really bad in the new edition Age of Sigmar? I actually like the models bloab and morbidex, but i was planning on building Bloab, hes a wizard and his Daemon flies ability does help the rest of your army. So for smaller battles 1000-1500 i was planning on trying him out. Anyone want to share their thoughts? greetz
  15. Hello all, i was curious what you guys think of kairoc acolytes? I shall specify what i mean, i’m not particular fond at tzaangors so if i want to play Tzeentch with mortals I have thise lovely kairic acolytes, which i find great models. Aesthetically I mean. I as thinking of a 1500 points army using the battallion witch fire. And I was wondering if i still could be somewhat of a competition if i, for example max out the units of acolytes and enlightend, which are needed for witch fire and the rest of the points fill up with, well, i guess Ogroid, shaman, maybe a magister and or gaunt summoner. thz in advance
  16. Hello all, I bought my first nighthaunt model this weekend. It’s the knight of shrouds, because it seemed fun to paint the model, and it was fun and now i think i might to paint some more of these Nighthaunt models. And I guess when i painted some of these Nighthaunts i am beginning to have an army, which wasnt my starting point, but that is going to happen. Now I like to paint t hese models, since ghost are fun. And during the drying stages of the knight of shrouds i read a lot of the lore of these Nighthaunt ghosts, and the lore says that Nagash after the necroquake saw the rising of the Nighthaunts and realized, fear is the key! Especially against mortals. Well besides the painting I like to play according to the lore, this isnt always competetive, but i dont mind that much. So now my question to you guys is: can i make a (semi)competetive army of Nighthaunt (ghosts!) where i play by the lore? What would be great synergies to lower the bravery of enemy units in such a way that after i kill say one or two, maybe three i dont know, models in a unit and in the battleshock phase a lot of others will flee because my opponents bravery is at such a low amount he has to fail battle shock. I really woukd like to try and play according to this principle, cause then my army caused fear and then i play according to lore. An other thing would be popping up somewhere with a unit, and cause some “jump scare” tactics, which also fits nicely in the lore. I know there are some command traits, artefacts, spells wich have these concepts build in i wrote of, but i cant get a grip on the right combination of heros and units. So much to choose from...a little advice woukd be appreciated. (Maybe this was posted before, im sorry i havenet read the whole thread of this Nighthaunt discussion) thx in advance, greetz
  17. Well, I played my “2000 points all models I own at the moment #not the best list” first battle with objectives against freeguild. In short my list was: Glott, HoD, Festus, Sorcer, Gutrot, LoB, 3 times 5 PBK and 1 10 PB unit, and the battalion blight cyst. It was a disaster, I was completely whipped after 4 rounds. Already at the start it went wrong, in my herophase I could cast 5 spells (sorcerer had muttergrub) 3 from the five rolls where a 3, and that left me with a mystical shield I got and well nothing else left to do….enemy was still too far away for all other spell I had. Then I ran to the objective so no shooting with the dead heads and for charge I still was way out of range. My Enemies turn went a little better and he got hold of the objective (it was a moving one by the way). My next round I thought, let’s get some action going. Again two spells missed and one was unbound, left me with some spells with not much use in this phase so I moved and charged, and that was the big tactical mistake, apparently when you charge some free guild unit, they scream for help and other units in range of 12’’ can shoot, and they do that before I get to do anything. Anyhow 40 dice 2+ 2+ hit pretty hard….etc etc. That was pretty much my game. I learned a lot, obviously, but it was a hard lesson. I’m going to play some smaller game next time, I really still need to learn the mechanics, and the tactics and the opponents tactics etc. My next army will be: Bloab (just ordered it, love the model), Festus, Harbinger, Lord of Plagues, 3 units 5 PBK, 1 unit 10 PB and Plague cyst. This is exactly 1500 points and hopefully will stand against a Nighthaunt?? (I reasoned the blight cyst with rend and shooting heads is great, but the rend is no use on those ghosts, so I then find the blight cyst to expensive and rather re-roll failed hit rolls with the plague cyst) Greetz
  18. Thx again guys! So i could use that abillity of Gutrot and have the blight cyst battalion, cool. I believe you guys anout the marauders, but still....not my cup of tea sry.
  19. Pitty i also dont own those endless spells yet..... The chronomatic cogs with some Nurgling attached to tha model would surely be a nice addition to my army to be.
  20. Hey guys, thx for the advice, much appreciated. Ill swap plagues lord for Gutrot, sounds like a plan. But my question now is, since Gutrot can bring some BK on his flagship ability at end of the move, how does this work with setting up the army. When placing units at the begin of the game i assumed you had to drop a battalion at once...as a single drop. So the blight cyst has to be put at the table 3 units BK and lord of blights. This does not leave any BK’s for Gutrot later on to drop after my first movementphase? Or can i just place my army one by one atthe table and the moment Gutrot arrives with his BK is he ,oment i can use the abilities from the Blight cyst battallion? To be honest, i dont feel ready to play 2k battles, both mechanic wise as a,ount of models i own at the moment.....still so much to buy...! Im sorry i have to say this, and a lot of people will clarify me nuts, but im not planning on using marauders...i dont like the models. To fill up my army in the future im planning on using the maxed out plaguebearers unit. So need me some Nurgle starting sets and plaguebearers boxes. Oh and ofcourse blightkings, i ant more blightkings, i love blightkings!
  21. Hey guys, just started playing this game and last week i played a 1000 points match and lost against fyreslayers. (It was stupid, i totally forgot the BK re-roll your 6 hit thing rule....) Anyhow, my next game is goin to be a 2k battle and since i just started this whole age of sigmar hobby i can make the next list: (These are practically all the models i have apart for gutrot and some other daemons) Glottkin (general) harbinger festus sorcerer lord of plagues lord of blights battleline 3 times 5 unit blightkings 1 unit 10 plaguebearers and the blight cyst battalion will make this list 1940. As i said it’s all i have at the moment and im in need of some advice. Anyone who can help me with some tips and tricks/abbilities and aretefacts for this army? Im playing against freeguild army and the mission is the relocation orb ghb2018 pg 61. thx in advance!
  22. Thx for clearing this up guys! And as in the words of Boromir in lord of the rings (the scene in Moria where they get shot at the first time) “They have a beast of Nurgel!” Had points left in my just for fun playlist, so thought about adding the beast of Nurgle as a pet for my army.
  23. Wow looks great! I have a little question. If I for instance play with harbinger of decay, or lord of afflictions, these guys both have a daemonic mount and thus have the daemon keyword. Do they count as nurgle daeomon hero’s? When a beast of nurgle is close to a nurgle daemon hero he gets a +1 to damage. Does the harbinger count considering his keywords? Thx in advance
