  1. Yeah I'm basically skipping 90% of posts here because all I could see was the same whiny complaints over and over. I come here to engage in a fun community and enjoy reading about fun lists, combos, victories/defeats etc. But I can't because it's all clogged down and depressive. Back on track and what I came here to originally post. I've read a lot of people dislike the Reavers lately, personally I think they're good screens and don't expect them to do more than to die for the Blood god. But I've been thinking maybe 5-man Blood warriors or even Chaos warriors would suit better as screens if you want some more defense and bite? 5 Chaos warriors is only 20 pts more for the same amount of wounds and a heck of a lot better defense. But with a smaller footprint and they're slower. What do you guys who've sworn off reavers use?
  2. Yeah 140-160 and I'd still take em but it would make doing a horde of elites unfeasable (as it should be). I'm actually very happy on the magmadroth changes, runesons on droths will be a lot of fun. Especially if you bring 2-3 of them as Lofnir and have some command points to spare. Auric hearthguard seem kind of insane with their CA too. Especially against scary monsters (of which there seems to be more and more lately..)
  3. Very suprised they only went up 20 pts. With how many +1 save buffs we get and offensive buffs they get pretty damn crazy. I actually agree they should probably loose the discount at max size because holy cow.. When it comes to Vulkites will you guys be running them in 10 man squads now? It feels so freeing to actually consider it
  4. People acting like the cannons are gone now They can still be buffed to hit and be used as a threat at range, and still be decent at melee. Sorry they're not the cheese you were hoping for. This is shaping up to be a pretty balanced book I think.

  8. Hah, I like how the Zharrgron Flame-spitter is basically a turret you place Otherwise nothing to bonkers in the endless spells department unless I'm missing something. I was hoping the Molten Infernoth would have behaved more like a unit of sorts but oh well. Yesterdays preview was so big that todays just made me shrug (our local group has yet to use an endless spell).
  9. I won't tell if you don't 😂 Too soon to say on the points. Vulkites I could see stay about the same. The others... No clue. But it's hard to say without the full warscrolls etc. H.berzerkers will probably go up. Depends a lot on if they keep their save-after-save I think. The extra attack fixes my main issue with them thankfully. I love both options (in the old warscroll). If the flamestrike stays the same.. I can only imagine it changing because of the extra attack as it would double their Mw output if it didn't.
  10. Having a couple of foot heroes run rampart sounds really fun, I do hope that's a viable build. Usually foot heroes die to quickly in combat. But I really really want like 3 berzerkers just chewing through stuff Can't wait for the next preview but I think I can safely add another Start collecting to my force... and maybe some more of the now properly elite units too 🤔😅

  13. The new stuff for Fyreslayers got me really excited, hopefully they keep the beard-save in some form. Or just lean into the Slaying part of things I suddenly feel an urge to finish painting my angry naked dorf army 🤔
  14. I hope it's a static 5 or 6+ with maybe a rune to boost it or a prayer. And could we maybe not have the big magma spewing dragons be the squishiest part of our army? It's been bothering me for ages.
  15. The new rules preview got me really excited. But I do hope we get to keep some sort of save after save. That and throwing axes out the whazoo was kind of our schtick. (Also I'm secretly hoping we'll go up in pts a bit to be a little less hordey). Prayers and lodges will bring a lot of list building fun despite our lack of units. But jusy one more would have been fantastic and I'm desperately hoping for one.
  16. Skullcannons are meh. A bit better now since you can give them extra shots and rerolls. But 3 of them would be hellova costly and, I think, hard pressed to get their value back. Unless your rolls are hot I guess.
  17. Wrathmongers look absolutley terrifying. And with Skarr Bloodwrath giving them No respite for a commans point they can really make someone pay for attacking them. It's too bad their battalion relies on a rather squishy leader. Because effectively doubling their attacks should blend almost anything into a fine mist
  18. Anyone gone for a blood tithe engine with the new book? Since we have two results that stays in play once activated that makes it sound kinda interesting to try. We have blood sacrifice and I think a way to get 2 additional blood tithe by comboing a command trait and artefact? Plus throwing some early chaff. 🤔
  19. Why do I see so many lists with large blobs of Reavers? Split em up into 10s, it makes them better screens and gives you more bloodtithe. And enemy units will almost always overkill them anyway so if there's only 10 wounds instead of 20 they're sortof wasting their attacks Last time I ran 20 (in Dark feast and with the shrine) that unit took 14 wounds before it got a chance to attack and I remember thinking if it was 2 units of 10 instead. One would have died and given me blood tithe. Then the other one could either have stayed put and blocked some more, or get some buffs and charge in.
  20. The models can just movr vertically up walls and sort of 'float' so there are no bs shenanigans of being unreachable in AoS due to terrain.
  21. He gets +1 to hit But the artefact Mark of the slayer is pretty uselless now. Sure it works for all Khorne and not just daemons... But... I mean... ugh
  22. It used to be Immense power + an artefact like the crimson crown. I'm trying to cook up a new combo. Rage unchained is good. 1 extra attack on both weapons (axe and claws!), not so sure on an artefact though. Now he has an inbuilt rerolling 1s to hit, and that's what I used to give him to avoid whiffing. Maybe Foe's Bane? 🤔 I used to run him as my beatstick general. +1 damage and a reroll buff aura was great with fly and 12" movement. ... Can I give him Hew the foe btw? From the Goretide? 🤔
  23. By Grimnirs fiery flatulence I really wanted that magma monster to be a unit not an endless spell, or an endless spell that functions like a unit you summon. That'd be so cool.
  24. I think skullcrushers being 3+ with 5 wounds have popped up a couple of times Can't wait to finally try mine out, but dang they're expensive.
