  1. So slaanesh players just need to be patient right? Don't worry, next faq will sort the book out, oh it didn't? Just wait for broken realms Kragnos! Oh wait, that didn't do anything either, don't worry just wait for AOS 3 and MSU, I'm sure our book was written for AOS 3, oh no, the points went up again in GHB, don't worry guys, just wait for the next faq, better yet, be patient and wait for the next GHB. In the past I said these exact things, now? I think it's a load of nonsense, customers dealing with a hobby like this should at least get decent rules, that even goes for the other bottom tier armies. Being "okay with it" or being patient won't get GW to change things, now I think being active in messaging them and more, will get the point across, because something is wrong in that design team. At least in my opinion.
  2. Or people are rightfully upset for good reason and in the very stream that detailed the points, no one can really defend what happened to Slaanesh, the narrative was the last nail for me, the points made me turn away from the faction period. GW basically shot them in the back of the head. I don't know whether it's incompetence or pure favouritism towards certain factions. Also, Enoby is one of the most positive people on the forum, knows a lot more about the game than I do, and if such a person is bowing out for awhile doesn't mean he/she is whining for no reason. Unless you truly think that way?
  3. I used to say this a lot, but honestly now that I look back, I think I was just going through the stages of grief. The phrase does ring hallow in light of the slaanesh points, worse, vampire grandma is still 200 points, so I'm still leaning on the theory that someone on the design team has it out for the faction. If they're a team and books are cross-checked, GW sent the handbook to the printers, which meant they thought this was okay. That's what bothers me so much.
  4. Considering how nice the models are I'm surprised with how they're handling the rules, that's the biggest shame in my eyes.
  5. I'm just going to say it, there is someone on the design team who hates the faction, maybe they got beaten too much or something, but what I'm seeing right now is something similar to what happened to the Tomb Kings army book when it came out. There is no way they could be that tone deaf and decided those points were okay.
  6. It's why I picked up vampire grandma myself due to the spell easily tying up ranged units, plus she's a cool model, the unleash hell work around is a bonus for me. Plus she has decent survibility, when I think of vampire lord, I look to Belladona and Radukar. Overall I think Vyrkos are going to be pretty good for AOS 3.
  7. Yup, after reading Kragnos, the wasted narrative made me use my money for the twins on Vyrkos, decided to embrace vampire grandma instead.
  8. Technically our book was meant to come out last year, I would say that's a reasonable timeframe considering how the broken realm books were pushed out, rewriting a single warscroll shouldn't be that difficult.
  9. No, just the rules for the twins and a battalion. Not even an update for the slaangor.
  10. Funny enough, this is also my outlook and it's why I'm also at my wits end at the same time. When the tome first came out, I saw the glaring disparity between DoK and Slaanesh. Majority of the rules in the DoK tome really mesh well with their lore, while it's the opposite for Slaanesh. For example the Melusai are deadly, they scream elite warriors and also their lore of turning people into crystal is part of their rules. While in the case of Hedonites, I just can't see the effort both in terms of the narrative and the rule-writing when it comes to design with Slaanesh. Back then, I told myself that they would improve some of the warscrolls and lore with Broken Realms, since technically our tome was meant to come out last year, guess I was wrong. I also thought the twins being born and acting would be a huge event, guess I was wrong again. In the end it's very hard for me to remain positive about the Slaanesh narrative and design, when I see the summary of Kragnos and the rules of the twins. This hurts even more because the models are so good as well. In the end I don't see the issues being dealt with considering the story seems to be shifting towards destruction, I don't see how Slaanesh fits into that until perhaps Malerion comes along.
  11. You know, considering the narrative that the twins are literal children of a chaos god, derived from Slaanesh's pure essence, I'm somewhat disappointed. Doesn't it bother any of you that a vampire who is not even a mortarch, is a better wizard than a greater daemon/child of a god? I'm pretty close to deciding to work on Vyrkos right now to be frank. I was quite hopeful for Broken Realms Kragnos, but it seems my hopes are being dashed right now.
  12. I think what truly sparked off this issue is when the Slaanesh Tome and the DOK tome were released together which clearly highlighted there are clear design issues and the fact there are most likely two writers. It didn't help either that the Lumineth came along and continued this trend. So from there, people looked back on older tomes and even newer rules, people noticed a trend in terms of the writing style and design. This started to cause people to become bitter towards those two armies, especially Lumineth as we all know. I mean people can be positive all they want, but I think when design issues are this glaring I think the problems should be voiced. For example, the soulblight tome isn't "bad" but it's pretty obvious in comparison to the Lumineth and DOK tome, a writer in GW is phoning it in. Some warscrolls don't even work, or the rules aren't written properly, Legion of Blood basically lost it's theme of vampires and their very battleline unit is quite poor. It's stuff like that. Fell Bats as warscroll shouldn't exist. I don't know what happened there. As someone mentioned, just compare Kragnos to either Teclis or Morathi, issues pop up right away. There's no consistency and I think it's becoming pretty obvious why GW wish to hire a game design lead.
  13. They also changed the Grungi line from the look of things.
  14. So the Big winners of all of this in my opinion is Vyrkos in general, Prince V, Grave Guard and lore of deathmages. The rest? Is eeeeh, I also sort of feel bad for people who want to run Legion of Blood.
  15. It's kinda strange that you can sort of tell who is writing the book, looking at the rules it seems that the Slaanesh Book writer also did Soulblight Gravelords.
  16. I expect Nagash to be amazing if they're pricing him at 975......
  17. It was in the January white dwarf. "Hrunspuul the Hound of the Cairns "who folklore claims bestowed the curse of unlife upon the first of the ferocious Vyrkos vampires. Though maybe Hrunspuul is just another of Nagash's many guises"
  18. In the white dwarf they talk about this, the god-beast might of also been Nagash in a guise, it's up in the air really. But it does lend some mystery to the bloodline.
  19. I know how you feel, the reveal of Lauka Vai has made me open another fund to get myself some new vampires! The vampires of the Vyrkos also look really cool.
  20. I don't think it's a battering ram, it's Kragnos, so I'm throwing my hat into that camp, GW also outright reveals the twins in another BR short story and we didn't even realise it. I think it's the same here. That thrashing immensity took on a sinuous shape: a two-headed serpent, one visage sleek and refined, the other an angular mass of shining horns and fangs. As the latter head moved to tear at the duardin corpses, mangling them into more twisted forms, the former cast its lidless gaze about the chamber before focusing on the two champions. Geld-Prince. Lord of Gluttony. Enough. Your squabbles avail the Dark Prince not. Make for the howling lands, where the glimmering spear mirrors past and future. There will the banquet be laid out.
  21. Just want to point out we likely saw the twins in Sigvald's Broken Realms story, the twins are in BR Kragnos, which is taking place in ghur. Then we have the twin snakes. It seems Synessa is the clear talker of the duo considering the title it bears, but you know what, I think Dexcessa is kinda fun to read about now that we know that the daemon is the angry boi/girl of the duo lol. 22. Sort of have a query, thanks to a poster discovered the trailer music for the hedonites video, the twins? It's far more difficult to pin-point the track, I honestly wish the community team would at least mention the track they used...
  23. Technically the slaanesh battletome was meant to come out last year, of course, covid happened, also rules are temporary, models are forever.
