  1. Well, just over 5000 pts. Though I think Stormcast is a bit soft compared to some of these cheap pt/troop armies. All painted apart from the Lord Arcanum on Gryph Charger who is getting the Duncan treatment at the moment. 2. Imagine what the Keeper of Secrets is going to finally look like ?
  3. Has there ever been a basing chart for these guys yet? None of the descriptions on the community have sizes, and the ones that do are squares.
  4. I think your tin foiling hat the comment, they always give some random description of them handing out a new rumour engine. They are not infact saying that this belongs to a shrouded figure.
  5. I think I have suffered similar reasoning to yourself. I am not sure I even enjoy what Stormcast are, but I still ended up putting a force together because it was just a really complete faction (I had a similar prejudice of Space Marines too). Although I still like the models for somethings Shadow Warriors, Corsairs etc, I am really reluctant to start these forces, because as you mention some of it borderline doesn't really fit the aesthetic. Although the inclusion of stuff like the Fleetmaster in Warhammer Quest and Corsairs in that box is really testing my metal at the moment because I really want some new Elvses on my board again and it seems like they may meld them into (and be part of) whatever aesthetic Mistweaver Saih and the Tenebral Shard end up being part of new faction wise eventually.
  6. I think the Van Helsing/Fairy tail style universe would probably be a great way to widen the death range, there isn't really a Werewolf style creature for example and these would be different enough to really freshen up the range and take it into a new direction, I also think the current Vampire/Soulblight offering is a bit on the weak side, some regular/elite troops wouldn't go a miss there either, give me Kate Beckinsale in model form please!
  7. The thought and topic was inspired via the Kharadron Overlords thread. With the release of our Bioshock style, Steampunk Sky Pirate Dwarves I think we can all agree for the most part that GW has nailed the high fantasy setting for the most part. From the gold, immortal warriors that are Stormcast, to the Blood Frenzied horde that is Khorne Bloodbound, to the Sudo-elf-tree warriors that are the Sylvaneth. They have all been fantastically realised and really fed off the individual traits and personalities that made the factions (apart from Stormcast) what they were in 8th edition fantasy. My fun question is: 'If you were in the drivers seat at Warhammer World Design Office thinking about a new faction for AoS, what would it look like?' As I suggested in the other thread, I kind of think it would be cool to have Goblin Sky Pirates to go with/opposite our Dwarven friends. They have both been factions that have shared a big rivalry in the past and Goblins too have had a crazy way of creating technology in the past, so perhaps they would just flat out have air baloons with bolt throwers and Doomdivers firing from them. What would you guys create, the rules are simple, lets not just boringly recreate Bretonnia, its got to be High Fantasy-ified!
  8. Has there been a sneakpeek of points for any of the new Stormcast Vanguard units yet? Wouldn't mind solving a points dilema I have with a small list.
  9. Am I the only person who is noticing Stormcast Judicators are 'No Longer Available' on the website?
  10. The The way its worded it sounds like it will go on sale at Warhammer World only like the 40k command tanks. But thats me only speculating given the wording
  11. Thats how I read it too, Guess there will be people exploiting this fact on ebay too. I think if anyone wants one, find someone who is going to warhammer world and get them to post you one.
