  1. I see mollog in the picture. I leave no hope that he'll be in. But that would be awesome.
  2. The jump up and down seems pretty good. A -1 to hit is always nice. And a better chance at getting it even better. Anti horde that works on 6's just falls flat most of the time. Especially if it has to happen with such a small radius.
  3. I'm alone in thinking the gate breaker ability is not that good?
  4. I have the Princess (Hag). And It's a great model. But for 380 points and 80 Pounds (I got as a gift I don't remember) I think you're better off waiting for the sons.
  5. The Rogue Idol cost from 400 to 410 alone makes me doubt how much real energy went into this GHB.
  6. Not sure how much competitive talk is appreciated here but I would like some feedback. I'm abandoning the endless spell spam list I had in mind. Since just 3 spells won't cut it. What is the next best thing Gitz can be build towards in the upcoming meta? I still thinking Geminids, Scuttletide and maybe Vortex/pendulum are solid spells to bring. 1. Skragrott dropped immensely in value for me. He was the linchpin in the endless spells spam list. And his own spell actually let you destroy ethereal amulets. Now that both of those things are gone I don't see what he does except provide more CP. 2. The coming meta feels like it's going to be elite heavy (with a lot of strong magic). We don't do elite well but we do hordes. Problem is that even bringing a ton of fanatics might not even cut it vs the newer elites. The whole reason for the endless spell spam was to rain down mortal wounds on those elites. And the elite armies have ways to thin down hordes fast enough that they can still play the objective game. 3. Now the Hag has 0 artifact options to bring. Maybe there will be a next malign sorcery. But it's a bummer. Gryph feather charm on her made her at least somewhat playable for her massive 380 pts. 4. I'm not sure if it's better to reduce our hero's or increase it. Since a lot of armies have ways to reach our squishy hero's. Gobbopalooza went down in points. but probably not enough to actually make them viable. Trogg hero's might be okay since they wont die in one hit and can at least heal a bit up every turn. But maybe having 6 hero's + gobbopalooza will confuse opponents enough that some key leaders might live. 5. I'm still hoping the new Sons of Behemat units will have interaction with us.
  7. Those penny point changes are not going to do anything for Troggs lol.
  8. For 380 points, in the current meta, she should be allowed to use the moon for wound regen. Even if she heals 12 wounds. She doesn't have a aftersave. She will take 12 wounds again pretty easily. Also she is THE Troggoth hero. And the thing Troggoths do is heal. It would not break anything I feel. The FAQ made sense when the book was new. But now it makes her just too expensive. I honestly think she could go as low as 280. Maybe even 250.
  9. Hey guys. I got three madcaps from a ebay haul. And I wonder if it would be dumb to place them on 32mm instead of 25mm as the official guide says. All the other hero's come on 32mm and I want to set them apart from normal moonclan grots.
  10. Ogors can ally Gargants (until GHB2020 maybe changes that). Gonna be interesting how much points the Sons are going to be.
  11. Would not be surprised if they work more like Gotrek does. Their base size would be weird if they are lower than 400 points in my opinion. Probably more between 500 and 600 points (like Gotrek). No news on the Bonegrinder? Did he go with SoB or not?
  12. I really hope that Destro get most of the goodies from the Gargant. Maybe some stuff on their warscrolls that only works on Destro stuff. Else everyone is gonna run one. Because why not.
  13. Can anyone link me a good competitive magic heavy Skragrott the looking Skagrott list? If it includes the Hag that would make me happy. But not a must. This is what I have in house atm: Troggoth Hag Skragrott Fungoid Cave shaman Two madcap shamans Loonboss Mollog 20 grots (would have bought more if GW stocks lasted) one unit sneaky snufflers 6 rockgut troggoths
  14. If they do keep the GSG keyword on some of the gargants that could be an indirect buff to GSG. We'll see. I doubt the 18th is going to do massive reveals.
  15. I'm really curious if some of the Gargants (Aleguzzler, Bonegrinder) are going to keep their Gloomspite keywords.
  16. As somehow who wants to focus on Grots and Troggoths. Which Spiderfang and Squig units are still worth including?
  17. I want to love the first list more. But the second list probably does better. I'm not 100% sure Gluttons are good in the current meta.
  18. I went with the Frostlord because he is a nice home for the mandatory artefact. And I felt that the list was lacking raw damage. If I would swap out the Frostlord I would take a Huskard with call of the blizzard and put in the gitz cauldron with the remaining points so the Hag gets access to a teleport and itchy nuisance. I could try both lists. I really think that you want that melee combat option the Frostlord has when stuff gets chaotic and you need to do monster stuff. But I'll try both lists in the coming weeks.
  19. You know. That is not a crazy idea. Cheapest thundertusk hero is still quite expensive. But I can play around with it for a bit. Edit: First draft of a winterbite list: Allegiance: Ogor Mawtribes - Mawtribe: Winterbite Leaders Troggoth Hag (380) - Allies Firebelly (120) - Lore of the Sun-Eater: Billowing Ash Butcher (140) - Cleaver - Lore of Gutmagic: Ribcracker Slaughtermaster (140) - Lore of Gutmagic: Greasy Deluge Frostlord on Thundertusk (390) - General - Trait: Wintertouched - Artefact: Frostfang - Mount Trait: Alvagr Ancient Battleline 6 x Icefall Yhetees (220) 3 x Icefall Yhetees (110) 12 x Ogor Gluttons (400) - Pairs of Clubs or Blades Endless Spells / Terrain / CPs Balewind Vortex (40) Geminids of Uhl-Gysh (60) Total: 2000 / 2000 Extra Command Points: 0 Allies: 380 / 400 Wounds: 134
  20. Fellow Gutbois I come with questions. I have recently finished painting my BCR so I shelved them for the moment to focus on my Gutbuster side. So far I've not been that impressed. I do however think Bloodgullet has strong legs. Especially with the pot, balewind vortex and arcane terrain in your territory. Now I have to say that I never played in a tourney before. But I feel most of the current competitive Bloodgullet lists do stuff that BCR can do better. So I want to try something else. Basically a Nurgle style list. I want to maximize debuff spells. So far I have this on the shortlist: Bloodgullet of course 1 butcher, 1 slaughtermaster with Bloodfeast, ribcracker, greasy deluge and fleshcrave (could be swapped out) Balewind vortex + pot. Troggoth hag (I have her, and we have troggoth allies, might as well make good use of them) Geminids. Firebelly with the -1 to hit aura spell. That is 880pts. Any other allies, spells, shenanigans I can bring to get even more good debuffs? And any suggestions how to fill the rest of the list out? I think that with all that -1 to hit I can maybe get away with not bringing gnoblars and letting Gluttons take that roll. With a 5+ save they usually just melt, but if the enemy get less hits in they might float some wounds. I already tried the hunter + cats package. I didn't like it for Bloodgullet. Other than that I'm open to suggestions. Edit: I might as well ask it here. The Gitz cauldron endless spell. Do those point costs add to my allies cap?
  21. I doubt they'll be as fast as stonehorns. That will probably set them apart. They might get the 6 inch in pile in that the bonegrinder also gets.
  22. If they have shields then we can expect a 3+ save Gargant maybe. Oof.
  23. With the old book I would have put Thermal rider on the same level as Amulet. Because we had no other option that to try and table our opponents. So you might as well go for that hail mary attack and try and take out their key units. But since stonehorns lost their run & charge it means that it's actually rather hard to move a stonehorn over enough units to get to those targets. Furthest that a stonehorn can move now with cloak is 19 inches (12 + hungry + boulderhead+cloak). Old stonehorn could go 22 inches (or 25 with the right winter roll). Those 3 inches you are missing matter a lot. The entire base has to make it over. And that stonehorn is then completely alone. If you are using Thermalrider to make a turn one charge into their front then I would say that Jorlbad does that job better. Because then you have a better chance at taking their chaff off with one stonehorn and then charging something else in to actually do some damage. I've used Thermalrider, Ignax, Amulet, and Old tokens (when it was still any hero phase) the most. It's a meta call at the end of the day. But I pretty much go with Brand of the Svard + Amulet exclusively now. Edit: Bloodgullet artefact is also pretty legit. But never tried it on BCR units. It does great on a Tyrant.
  24. I would only consider thermalrider if I went tribeless. And even then as my second item after Ignax scales. There is a lot of -2 rend going around. The amulet is just too good. Again to what I said before. You need to be able to take objectives and hold them. Thermalrider is only good for taking objectives imo. Edit: Also, the Tzeentch and KO books have stuff that only work vs flying units. So Thermal might actually be a detriment vs them.
  25. I've also done well with my Eurlbad lists. Stonehorns are just really good. And the Amulet FLoSH is REALLY good. The biggest change that people (including most of the youtubers) missed is that Stonehorns are very capable of taking objectives in enemy territory and actually hold on to it. Stonehorns especially shine on battleplans where you can burn enemy objectives. Either they kill what's on the objective or they simply take it by just being there and counting as ten. Don't play like you're Khorne. You dont need to always be in combat. You don't always need to take the first turn. You don't always have to charge in just because you can. You can actually play to the objective now. So do it. Edit: Also have to say this. I was in the boat of "Just charge Thundertusks and you'll see good dmg from them". Stonehorns are miles better than Thundertusks even vs hordes. It sucks. I actually like what they went for. But they wiffed so incredibly hard on the prayers. If you have a 360 pts priest he needs to have prayers that are worth those points. I'm not hopeful they are going to adress that in the GHB2020. Because dropping points on thundertusks does not change anything. Stonehorns will be the automatic choice until the next book drops in my opinion.
