  1. So I’ll be attending a small tournament next week, and since I currently don’t have much time to paint anything new, and am Interested in competing at the best painted competition, I opted for this list: Army Faction: Skaven - Grand Strategy: Slaughter of Sorcery - Triumphs: Inspired LEADER 1 x Warlock Bombardier (100)* - Spells: Merciless Blizzard 1 x Warlock Bombardier (100)* - Spells: Merciless Blizzard 1 x Warlock Bombardier (100)** - General - Command Traits: Deranged Inventor - Artefacts: Esoteric Warp Resonator - Spells: More-more-more Warp Power! 1 x Warlock Bombardier (100)** - Artefacts: Vial of the Fulminator - Spells: Levitate 1 x Warlock Bombardier (100)** - Spells: Merciless Blizzard BATTLELINE 5 x Skryre Acolytes (70) 5 x Skryre Acolytes (70)** 5 x Skryre Acolytes (70)** BEHEMOTH 1 x Doomwheel (140) OTHER 1 x Ratling Gun (60) 1 x Ratling Gun (60) 1 x Ratling Gun (60) 1 x Ratling Gun (60) 1 x Ratling Gun (60) 1 x Ratling Gun (60) 1 x Ratling Gun (60) 1 x Ratling Gun (60) 1 x Ratling Gun (60) 1 x Ratling Gun (60) 1 x Ratling Gun (60) 1 x Ratling Gun (60) 1 x Ratling Gun (60) 1 x Warpfire Thrower (70) 1 x Warpfire Thrower (70) 1 x Warpfire Thrower (70) 1 x Warpfire Thrower (70) 1 x Warpfire Thrower (70) CORE BATTALIONS: *Andtorian Acolytes **Warlord TOTAL POINTS: (1980/2000) Created with Warhammer Age of Sigmar: The App Personally I went for the wizard killing one as I have a feeling that my own heroes are probably going to be dead before turn 5. and this seemed more promising and likely to be possible for me to get then the other grand strats. in any other case, I’ll be trying to deal as much destruction and mayhem as it is possible. Also for every aspect I have in my army a or more warlock bombardiers represent that. the poisoned wind fanatics got their own doom warlock with his apprentice bombardier behind him. and the more refinde better ratting gun wielding bombardiers, well will command my squad of 13 rattling gun weapon teams. and the boring generic bombardier will be commanding the boring generic warpfire throwers
  2. I really gotta watch that video then. The skaven wishlist of wishing something unknown seems preposterous. Edit: by the way, of which podcast are we talking about?
  3. Looks fake to me. he has nothing about the skaven, except an excuse.
  4. Love the idea, although I’d probably stick with the normal orge models. it is kinda funny but I started the army with the release of the ogre kingdom trailer from total war warhammer. and I loved it
  5. I’ve got me-self some pirat ogre hungry for some feasting. thankfully the big ‘ummies (megagargants) are willing to lend a hand, or in this case their body for that feast. in about a month I’ll be playing against a friends gargant army. and while I’m not really known to play ogre I still had that army and am Interested in getting some fighting down with them. so this will be my list. Army Faction: Ogor Mawtribes - Army Subfaction: Underguts - Grand Strategy: Saga of the Monster Hunter - Triumphs: Inspired LEADER 1 x Bloodpelt Hunter (140)* - General - Command Traits: Deadly Aim - Artefacts: Gruesome Trophy Rack 1 x Slaughtermaster (140)* - Spells: Blood Feast 1 x Tyrant (150)* - Artefacts: The Fang of Ghur - Big Name: Giantbreaker BATTLELINE 6 x Ogor Gluttons (240) - Crusher - Bellower - Tribal Banner Bearer with Lookout Gnoblar - Ogor Club or Bluntblade and Ironfist 4 x Ironguts (240) - Gutlord - Bellower - Rune Maw Bearer 4 x Leadbelchers (160)* 4 x Leadbelchers (160)* ARTILLERY 1 x Ironblaster (200) OTHER 4 x Mournfang Pack (170) - Hornblower - Tribal Banner Bearer - Skalg - Gargant Hackers 3 x Maneaters (150) CORE BATTALIONS: *Warlord TOTAL POINTS: (1920/2000) Created with Warhammer Age of Sigmar: The App it is mostly for fun, and as somebody who really likes the old world fluff I opted to go for such an army
  6. Good luck mate. may the horned eat bless you with filth and glory
  7. 80-90 points. personally I’d agree, but then again there are the clanrats. even worser units than gobbos. so I guess if they went down points so should the clanrats as well. lets say 80 and 80points for both gobbos and rats oh you mean gnoblars. never mind what I said.
  8. What I really like about these new models is that they for one update an old sculpt, and secondly could be easily converted into another old sculpt known as the yheedis
  9. Funnily enough, the two newer skaven whu warbands have been amazingly good. but tjen again, that is probably because the rest of the book is currently just awful😂
  10. True, but lately I’ve seen so many skaven list and it seems to be almost always the same 5-6 units taken in different variants.
  11. Yeah the plague priest is pretty tough. although his biggest weakness is the fact ruat he can’t move if he has no bodies near him to push his infernal construction. Stormfiends on the other. man I do not like to say this, but gw just please give them an overcharge function, so they can kill their own units as well. Well if it makes both of you happy, skaven are currently the worst performing army in the meta. So I wouldn't worry to much😂 now with that said, I do hope they start buffing units like the weapon teams
  12. Many people have shared their oppinion about this topic, to which I often or mostly share the same wish. of course that isn’t true for all. for example I don’t like the double turn, neither in a casual nor in a tournament setting. while some people do say that it is boring without it I have played enough games that don’t have sich a thing and yet work well and are interesting in their own way. as for my personal wish. i really really wish gw would just make an overhaul to the weaponry in aos. something I really liked in the old world and in 40k is that many of the generic weapons are basically the same thing. of course in 40k there are certain exceptions, but a heavy bolter stats for a space marine unit is basically the same thing as it is for a guardsmen squad. this is something I really would like to have back. just make it easy a longbow has 24 inches and the average human will hit (+4) wound (+4) rend (/) damage (1) is an elve using a bow= +1 to the hit characteristics. (The elve would be hitting on a 3+) is a goblin using the bow= -1 to the hit characeteristics (the goblin would be hitting on a 5+ instead of a 4+) something similar to this is something I wish gw would do again. I actually find it quite stupid when an elve for some reason has a bow that has apparently the strentgh to eradicate atoms, especially when it is blind. of course that shouldn’t mean that special weapons shouldn’t exist, but at least make them something special. And not something that gets commonly used by everybody. also a goblin that hits and wounds like a stormcast with the same damage profile, Seems a bit over exaggerated. I do hope to see that changed at some point
  13. I wouldn’t worry too much about that mate. in theory it is also a 100% old world models. they fit perfectly in the setting. personally there are only a few units that don’t fit into the old world at all, so if something is a 100% made for old world or aos is something I doubt will matter at all
  14. I would love that. but considering old world. i’m not certain how much of this could become true, knowing gw
  15. Sounds awesome, I’ll think of something for the skaven, if you want me to do so. in addition I do have a question. Are the rules going to become accessible by us, or is it possible to maybe get them when they are finished. I do remember one of the campaigns you did and it was awesome
  16. Sigmars work!?! Last time I checked i was make-scorning my slave-things to work for the great horned rat. no sigmar here-here weird-thing
  17. Believe me mate, you’r not the rare occasional person thinking that. There are a lot more who would like that to be a thing again,
  18. Welcome to skavenblight colblood-thing player
  19. Just the psychic stuff they did for 40k is something I really hope we won’t see.
  20. I disagree. if the books didn’t follow some sort of lore (except that of the stormcast because it would be kinda stupid if we follow the lore of the beginning of aos where basically they could not lose) the armies would be incredible boring. just look at the skaven battletome. it is absolutely a mance, badly written and not well thought out. it feels like as if I’m playing a waldorf school on the tabletop
  21. I agree, I actually miss differences between heroes on foot and such. I mean currently an untrained goblin hero, is capable in hitting and wounding their enemy as good and with as many attacks as a few humdred year old vampire lord who never stopped training his swordsmanship. I don't think that is lore friendly.
  22. You mean Queek, the headtaker. or Skaa bloodtail? yes I believe skaa was confirmed to be as big as an average trogoth
  23. I mean for stormcast heroes, they could easily just take the 10 different heroes on foot with sword and shield and call it the lord minimalist. the same can be done with 10different lords on foot with great weapon, and so on. You’d still have optional models and can basically choose which one uou want to have from a few tjousand options, but hey at least the book would be cleaned of too many warscrolls
