  1. I think that's a chaos powerclaw with a flammer.
  2. Yeah, I already said that I completely understand what you are saying and we played like this before the first 3.0 FAQs (we thought exactly the same). But as I already said before, we have a FAQ now: To people that don't know about KOs, Fly High is a teleport ability with the same description of Waypipes: "Instead of making a retreat...". Disengage is an ability that let you shoot after a Reatreat Move. If I don't make a Retreat Move with Fly High, why I'm Disengaging/Retreating? What's the logic behind that FAQ? And the answer is clear, units with Disengage are the only ones that can shoot. Maybe. But that's what happens when GW write a rule that points out in one direction and a new FAQ says otherwise... Btw, play as you like. I'm just trying to say that maybe we are playing/played it wrong.
  3. Spiderman Doppelganger, is that you?? Btw, is he part of a new chaos warband?
  4. I think that AoS characters can't drive through the story. They need more interactions with other characters, or even background to feel real, and that's why I think they look boring. Don't get me wrong, I love Brokk, his design is one of the bests in the whole game but his story is less than half a page. We know only a few of his feats and that's all. We need his story, the story of his weapons, the people that helped him, crew of his flagship, his enemies, his rival, etc... that's how you feel that he is part of your faction and not a bunch of keywords that maybe can combo with one of your units. Note: I'm talking about any other character in the setting that is not a GOD/semi-God/ Whatever.
  5. I completely understand that, but why KOs can shoot after Disengage/retreat as is stated in their FAQ if, as you said, it's not needed? Another argument that can answer this question is that when you replace a movement (instead of...) you still have the same restrictions as the movement that you replaced (if any) too. Btw, not all TO are going to play like you said. A national league (20+ tournaments) was presented two weeks ago and it seems that they are not going to allow to shoot/charge after a teleport that has "instead of making a retreat..." unless they have an ability that allows that.
  6. Unpopular opinion: You can love Warhammer Fantasy and Age of Sigmar and visit r/Warhammer and r/Ageofsigmar and play Total War Warhammer. I know, mindblowing.
  7. No moderator here. Just a random dude that thinks that another "Civil War" will not help anyone.
  8. Wrong post. If you want to talk about that, maybe start another post but not sure if the Community needs that...
  9. Edited: Technically, the FAQ is more a buff for KOs than a restriction: In other words, the Skyvessels can shoot because Disengage allows that. If your unit doesn't have any type of Disengage or any other ability that allows that, you can't shoot and/or charge (Tree-Revenants, Skywardens, Endrinriggers, Khainite Shadowstalkers, etc...).
  10. Want an unpopular opinion? Remove elfs, Aelfs and everything inbetween. Take that pointy ears!!!
  11. That's not an unpopular opinion, that's what people repeats in every forum. Btw, kangaroos and cows are awesome.
  12. You still need to be allowed to make a "Normal Move" to use Navigate Realmroots. Btw, Skyvessels can only shoot after Fly High (same teleport as Navigate Realmroots) because they have an ability (Disengage) that allows Shooting after retreat (but no charge). Why KO must use that ability to shoot if a teleport is not a retreat?
  13. Navigate Realmroots can only be used when you make a Normal Move and not when you are engaged (you need to make a Retreat). I suppose that you can still shoot or charge even if you were engaged before Translocate, but that's something that GW should answer. Remember that Translocate doesn't replace any movement, that's why I think it doesn't follow any movement restriction like Navigate Realmroots.
  14. To be fair, Uther is just a Paladin (knight infused with "light powers" or whatever you wanna call it) with a Euro-american cartoon style. Btw, I love Samwise art (even Chris Metzen has some style in early concepts), but that's not something that Warcraft or Warhammer invented.
  15. Hey fellow admirals, after trying to underststand how 3.0 works, I'm stuck at Fly High. Simple question: Why Fly High is affected by the "retreat/disengage"? Fly High description says that I can use Disengage when I Fly High (that it's a modified Retreat btw), but why I want to do that if teleports are not affected by that restrictions...? The only logic behind that FAQ, Imho, is that all abilities that has "instead of..." still have the same restrictions of the replaced action. That could be understandable with another FAQ: What do you think? Is that right? Can, for example, Vanguard Hunters use their teleport engaged with te enemy and still shoot in the same turn?
  16. Yeah, in 2.0 was totally diferent. A set-up was never affected by the movement that it replaced. 3.0 changed that and now, it seems that's has it has the same restrictions (KO FAQs).
  17. AoS have diferent types of set ups, and some of them, like Navigate Realmroots and Fly High are worded as: Navigate Realmroots only have "Instead of normal move" (no retreat listed I think). In that case, you can't use it when your unit is engaged.
  18. If it works as Fly High (I suppose that's the case, both abilities have the same description), you can only shoot after teleporting outside of combat if you have an ability that allows that (Skyvessels have Disengage). Same with charge. KOs have Disengage, not sure if Sylvaneth have something like that. Not sure. Translocate have another description and seems to not be a "movement" or "Instead of movement", so I would say that Translocate will not be affected by movement restrictions like Retreat. But RAW is not clear (we don't have a FAQ anymore that explains how this functions), and only GW knows how it should work (RAI). ----------------------------------------------------------------- Edit: Maybe I'm wrong but Navigate Realmroots can only be used "Instead of a Normal Move", so Sylvaneth can't use it when they Retreat.
  19. I know that 2.0 had an specific FAQ that said exactly that: a Set-Up ability is not a movement of any type so you could ignore any movement restrictions (as shooting after "retreating"). But that FAQ was removed in the first 3.0 FAQs and instead we have one KO FAQ that talks about that: KOs Fly High has the same description as Navigate Realmroots, so I assume that they work the same.
  20. Hobgrots with Venom-Encrusted Weapons confirmed?
  21. Yes, I'm not saying otherwise. My point wasn't that "other armies" don't have tp+movement, my point was that other armies are using that type of teleports as their main feature because that's what they do. Look at @PrimeElectrid post above, appart from Nagash (didn't know that trick btw): Wind Spirit: It's their Trick, that's what they do. They are designed to do that (btw, I don't like that... same with Mannfred teleport....). KO Boats: An army that plays around that. Shooting and teleports. They don't have great dmg, no big rend (90% of their units have -1 rend and 4+ to hit...), no magic, no prayers, no monsters, etc... Kruleboyz: Their tricks are about that, a few one-per-battle shenanigans with some conditionals or artefacts/traits. That's their whole point, one big play and done (appart from their venom weapons). Living City trait: Exactly that, it's what their do, you take that subfaction because that DS.
  22. Imho, it's because SCE seems to have other "Tricks" now: 3+ saves or a lot of easy +1 to saves, Scions/Stormkeep, Blaze of Glory or the Holy Orders. Even some SCE players seems to not understand why GW give SCE a new "tool" as powerful as a prayer with such an easy activation. Ironjawz, as you said, it is/was all about Mighty Destroyers (that is/was their "Trick" together with their Waaagh) and you need an activator/CP for Mighty Destroyers (even if that is their BIG PLAY). Hand of Gork is/was a great tool but it's not as reliable as 2+ with reroll that can't be dispelled. Note: Btw, I'm agaisnt of baning a tool like that without waiting for their FAQ, but I can understand why some TO don't allow that.
