WillofNagash
Hey guys need some advice, what do you think of this for a tournament list. Would it be really terrible? Or would it be able to win any games. Heroes Nagash Supreme Lord Of The Undead (900) Arkhan The Black Mortarch of Sacrament (340) Mannfred Mortarch Of Night (460) Cairn Wraith (60)Battleline Skeleton Warriors x 10 (80) Skeleton Warriors x 10 (80) Skeleton Warriors x 10 (80)Total: 2000/2000
Nico
Terrible. Your opponent will kill all the battleline units that score. Arkhan in particular is not contributing to this list. Nagash and Neferata and some better Battleline units might be viable, but still not strong.
WillofNagash
Mannfred Mortarch Of Night (460) Nagash Supreme Lord Of The Undead (900) Cairn Wraith (60) UNITS Skeleton Warriors x 20 (160) - Ancient Blades Skeleton Warriors x 10 (80) - Ancient Blades Skeleton Warriors x 10 (80) - Ancient Blades Blood Knights x 5 (260) how about this one? TerrorPenguin
This is why Nagash is so difficult to use in 2000 point lists. He can't be everywhere and you are still going to have trouble. I would prefer to ditch mannfred for a couple of units of archai, but would be interested if an elite death list can work. But it kind of depends on how you play
Nico
This is the only semi-credible list I've come up with for Nagash: Leaders Nagash Supreme Lord Of The Undead (900) - General Coven Throne (260) Tomb Herald 100Units Zombies x 10 (60) Zombies x 10 (60) Skeleton Chariots x 3 (140) Necropolis Knights x 6 (320)Ushabti x 3 (120) - Great BowBehemothsWar MachinesBatallionsTotal: 1960/2000 Alternatively you could be "that guy": 3 Skeleton Chariots 140 10 Zombies 60 10 Zombies 60 Nagash Mourngul Mourngul 1960
Squirrelmaster
If I was going to run Nagash in 2000, I think I'd try something like: Nagash Heinrich Kemmler 10 Zombies 10 Zombies 10 Zombies 6 Necropolis Knights 3 Ushabti (Giant Bows) Khemrian Warsphinx 1960pts I think if you're going to run Nagash, you really need Tomb King units to get the most out of him. Failing that, if I had enough money, I'd try: Nagash 10 Zombies 10 Zombies 10 Zombies 920 Reinforcement Points I would then pack a couple of cases full of zombies, banshees, cairn wraiths, spirit hosts, archai, black knights, skeleton archers, and a couple of Vampire-Lord-on-Zombie-Dragons. I would then use summoning to tailor my list to my opponent & scenario on turn 1.
kozokus
Hey! Nagash and arkhan are combo! Makes arkhan the général and enjoy your 9" range hand of dust! Spooky!
Nico
Quote Hey! Nagash and arkhan are combo! Makes arkhan the général and enjoy your 9" range hand of dust! Spooky! This is a terrible idea if you have to commit your general on the army list at a tournament. Nagash becomes very killable indeed when he's not rocking a 2+ save rerolling ones. It's poor anyway, how likely is the enemy big bad to be in 9 inches of Nagash, but not within 3 inches of him at the start of your hero phase - it's going to be a handful of games only. Arkhan can also do the spell though...
kozokus
Yeah but hé is right passing on the command of nagash is à terrible Idea and you basically nullify à lot of his points. There are few command as good as his. My idea was just à troll because this is the only synergy i could think about xhen fielding both.
