hey guys,  im puttin together a list and was trying to work out what the optimal loadout is for a unit of 5 brutes? I was thinking that running all 5 with a pair of brute choppas is the best bet but wondered if anyone can advise me if thats not the case!

Is it better to take 3 brute choppas, 1 gore choppa and a boss klaw and brute smasha?

Thanks in advance!

Always take the boss weapon and special weapon. They are just better.

Personally I prefer max number of gore choppas, boss klaw and brute smasha, and the rest dual choppas. I also prefer that loadout with units of 10, although I think a case can be made for gore-hackas there. I've found that against a large unit getting a wide front of 7-8 models in isn't hard, against a small unit 10 brutes are going to massively overkill anything even if they can't get everyone in range, and choppas hold up better as the unit takes casualties.

I'd agree, Gore choppas have 2" range too so if they're in the back they can still attack.

Gore hackas are better in 15-20 man units
