Shankelton
Short and dirty request, does anyone have any alternatives to corks for sticking pinned models to something for painting? Want to step up my base game, so I'm assembling and painting the base before attaching the model. But I want to paint and prime my models first well I wait for 40mm rounds to come into stock locally. I cant find any corks locally and I dont drink wine. Any tips?
Overread
Honestly they are probably the best option - just head over to ebay and search for htem and you can likely pick up a load for not much cost.
Redking
I bought a bunch off eBay. You can also check out Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Medium-Tapered-Corks-standard-bottles/dp/B0064GVCYW/ref=pd_sbs_328_1/147-8820926-2279165?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B0064GVCYW&pd_rd_r=da06cc0a-a70e-11e9-bc7b-8187b0da1013&pd_rd_w=15pAh&pd_rd_wg=DHQ4G&pf_rd_p=588939de-d3f8-42f1-a3d8-d556eae5797d&pf_rd_r=SBTZN8B9Q85G90PGN1FQ&psc=1&refRID=SBTZN8B9Q85G90PGN1FQ
RuneBrush
Children's building blocks. You can drill them for wire and they're heavier than cork so won't fall over. This lot have been magnetised, but I've a couple with wires in them too
Lucio
Plain plastic base, attach model with superglue. When you're done painting use the fine detail cutters to gently lift it up off the base
