syph0n Posted July 8, 2018 Share Posted July 8, 2018 Hi all. Working on turning a freebie Sequitor into a Lord-Ordinator! Raided my bits box, ordered some hammers, nail art cogs and gears and picked up some leather cord. The plan is to replace each hand with a hammer hand, head swap for the female Sequitor head (son's choice of the 3), replace a shoulder pad with the lion shoulder pad, and use the cord and cogs to make those final Ordinator esque details. The Stormcast I own are technically my son's, but he's very happy to have me paint the characters for him. Thinking of a celestial painted tabard when assembled. Not a fan of plastic glue, but it does seem to set very hard on the bits I needed it to. Removed the original shoulder: Then I replaced the Sequitor weapon with a good old hammer: Next I began to build up the back icon, using a mixture of gears and cogs, atop a High Aelf staff. It's got an orb in the middle which I thought felt quite celestial. I also used the leather across the tabard: Once the parts were dry I could start assembly: Filed down... More cogs in place, along with the 2nd hammer. Another dangling cord, with cog icon. Final rear shot: Not sure about the ribbon off the 2nd hammer. Think I'll just fill in the glove when I sort the rest of the gaps. Looks quite good, though hair might be a bit modern... Space Marine Head can actually work. I used a head of the Space Wolves Wolfriders for my Lord Ordinator. One thing I think is missing in the conversion is the part of the tabard that I painted purple which is on the Lord Ordinator as well as the Crew of the Ballista. They might give me some other bits to steal or use accordingly.
