Mr. White
I've got a project where I might possibly want some broken or bent shields and armour. Is there a way to do this with the current plastic models? It seems broken may be easiest as one would just cut away pieces. Basically looking for tips on how to model battle damage besides just chipped paint.
Melcavuk
I would use things like the razor saw to dig grooves into armour panels and shields to give a rough cut, hobby knive to take small nicks out of the edges of plates were a blade might of glances off etc. Less will always be more though, divets and glances to give character rather than carving a weapon in half. The giant kit has an abudnace of loose arrows you could use to embed into weaponry and shields
GuitaRasmus
If possible, I like to use pliers or clippers to actually break the bits - it takes a bit of practice, but usually looks more realistic than trying to cut it with a knife. Also, a dremel and some round bits of different sizes to mimic corrosion works great.
Vasshpit
If you look at Nurgle and Death armor and their weapons, you can easily get that pitted rusted out look with a pin vice. Just drill some different sized pits in your armor and weapons.
