elfhead
Really enjoying this army progressing. The morghur conversion is epic!
The Traitor
Oh my god that must be one of the most impressive conversions I've seen in this forum for a while!!! Truly amazing take on him, I guess dying and being reborn as a tree really had a good impact on Morghur's shape, he got BIG ! Seriously though, he's really looking awesome, very well executed idea, every element combines so well and the result is truly impressive!
Melcavuk
Cheers guys, grabbing a new compressor on payday so I can get to work on the Morghur reborn paintjob.

Melcavuk
Progress on the beast continues, lots of little bits left to do and then I'll be tackling the base after the main model is completed.
Melcavuk
Done a bit more on Morghur Reborn, nearing completion on the main body of the model so I can start on the base. Also made a start on converting a spare alarielle beetle I had to hand to fit the new dark sylvaneth theme. Once I'm finished adding to the beetle I'll be priming the new bits by hand to keep as much of my original paintjob intact.
Trokair
The rate of progress on the Morghur Reborn is truly terrifying. Are you going to do a unliving Alarielle to go with the beetle?
Melcavuk
Cheers, and yeah the aim is to use a forgeworld skinwolf as the basis for "Alarielle" and a similar head to that on my Kurnoth hunters, I'll make him a staff of some sort using my spare kurnoth hunter weapons to make something suitably grim
Richelieu
Did you airbrush the beetle? That blend from black through red, orange and yellow is really soft and smooth.

Every model in the army had that same blend somewhere on them

Melcavuk
Cheers, really happy with how he came together. Bit more paintwork done on the beetle for my dark sylvaneth army. Skulls primed and detailing started to be picked out across the shell.
Andy Dunn
These look absolutely incredible. You have taken a theme into a new direction. I look forward to seeing them in the 'bark' at the doubles!
