  1. I doubt it if my last performance had anything to go on!
  2. Could I request a Pete Allison vs Declan Waters grudge if it's not too late? @Skeekrit Thought you were getting a trailer after the last event
  3. Sadly I wasn't at Fest this year (first time since I can't recall that I couldn't make it), however I have heard from a friend who did go, that there's going to be a dedicated AoS Forge World team in the same way as there is for LotR. This suggests that we may see a slight speed increase in what gets released/designed for AoS by them
  4. Could well be more 40k scenery, they've been knocking the new sets out all over the shop recently! Could equally be something completely new - a monocycle for a fish man...
  5. Agreed - I'm fairly sure that GW confirmed some time ago that Sanguinius, Horus, Curze and Ferrus are all dead as dead can be!
  6. Quite a few possibilities. Part of me wants to say Custodes, but I didn't think they were releasing any more in plastic - there are more of the big marines coming out so that's possible. Guess that it could be an updated White Lion-esq model?
  7. ForgeWorld have just announced the re-release of the Warpgnaw Verminlord: https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-GB/Warpgnaw-Verminlord-2017 New Warscroll is basically an Exalted Verminlord - however as with the other Exalted Daemons, no points yet
  8. It's not until next week - they're broadcasting from London this weekend instead of any games this week.
  9. In 40k there is going to be two point systems - a "Power" point which is what we have in AoS that represents an approximate power value of a unit and then a much more granular system where everything is pointed for use in Matched Play - so weapons, individual models etc. If they did this with AoS (which I think they will), I think we'll see people playing a lot more narrative using power points for their casual/club games, without restrictions like the rule of one. Matched play will become the norm for people playing tournaments and people practising. I'm genuinely excited if this does happen
  10. 194 / 14 = 13.857? Pretty positive it's a typo
  11. Answer 3 - They wanted to squeeze in 4 more pages of rules/background without increasing the page count by 8 (and cost)
  12. I think we're more likely to get a "black book" version of 7th edition rules specifically for 30k. Although Alan Bligh has said that HH is an expansion for the 40k ruleset, there was rumour for a bespoke set of rules and the HH community have sunk a significant amount of cash into the existing 7 black books (we're talking around £500 if you've got them all, which many have). As a random aside, my own prediction is that we may see a "tweak" to the AoS rules once the new 40k rules have been out a year or so. I think most of us will admit that we've had a big leaning towards ranged armies recently and I think we'll see the 40k rules using a system more focused on ranged attacks which could work well in AoS.
  13. Agreed - if they were going I'd fully expect to see the start collecting box vanishing too.
  14. The confusion came about when GW first did all of the daemons in plastic for WH and 40k. They put in squares for WH and 25mm rounds for 40k. Since then they've released them in Start Collecting boxes with 32mm's (though the regular boxes were still being sold with 25's at one point) That said on the recent made to order Diaz Daemonettes they sent out 25mm rounds, so there's an argument that Daemonettes should still be on 25's Less so with Bloodletters - they're really precarious on 25's and most have a sword pointing outwards which makes them quite unbalanced. Would agree that Plaguebearers look fine on 25's.
  15. Awesome, thanks for the comprehensive response - makes my life a lot easier to fix things
  16. Thanks for the feedback. I'll have a look at the keyword issue (can you confirm what web browser you're using & version?). Coloured backgrounds would be possible in some combinations, I'll have a rummage around and see what I can do. The splitting columns is something I need to put my head down and think about. I've used the column functionality that's built into most modern web browsers, but it's quite new in the grand scheme of things and not all of the bugs have been ironed out yet. I think I need to come up with some form of clever padding mechanism. Can you let me know the browser you're using and also confirm you're hitting enter after you select a keyword? The keywords bit isn't ideal if I'm honest but I'm loathe to add in a massive tick box type list (it's also missing a lot of keywords being built in)
  17. Anybody else say conversion material for a Wight King with Infernal Banner?
  18. - Follows a Great Unclean One round and randomly eats models
  19. She's going to have a cauldron and a number of blind slaves
  20. Don't forget Slaangor - beastmen with tentacles Oddly, I've not seen anybody put up that Kharadron are up for pre-order this weekend (Battletome, the frigate and the Arkanites)
  21. I think some of the question is that 40k and the plethora of other games GW have released has set a precedence on how to interpret true line of sight to keep it simple and easy. A lot of us have simply gone "that's how GW are expecting us to interpret it", whereas there are also a portion of people who have said that the rules state a model in a unit must be visible. I don't think it's worth a massive debate/argument as I think both sides are equally valid. From a thematic point of view, I believe that the majority of the model must be visible - banners, cloaks, weapons aren't valid targets (ask anybody who has ever done reenactment or LARP). However, most importantly it's the choice of how the players wish to interpret it - it doesn't need a house rule, just a bit of communication. The first time in a game it occurs you just need to speak to your opponent and ask "are you happy that they can see that unit?"
  22. Agree with the general consensus (and having played 40k, Necromunda etc), you should be able to see the majority of a model in order for it to be visible. As with all things AoS, I try to simplify it to a yes/no question with applied common sense. Would a shot to the end of a spear cause a wound on something - erm, nope. Would shooting the billowing cloak cause a wound on something - no to that too. Would shooting that person in the head wound them - most certainly yes! I think in AoS, applying common sense is really important for shooting. If a unit is hidden with the exception of a random sword blade then the unit isn't visible.
  23. GW confirmed that this is going to be a pure Battletome release with no new models. Quite a few new Battalions in that index and pages 76 ~ 98 are all brand new I'm curious what page 53 - Bestial Horrors is about...
  24. Just spotted this off FB too - looks like they've "optimised" some of the warscrolls to not have the picture on. Interesting that they mentioned Slaves to Darkness in the initial blurb, but no warscrolls for them. Somewhat excited! edit: Just noticed - No Bloodstorm battalion in that listing!
