  1. The command ability of the loonboss with giant cave squig may be fun on a giant unit of stabbas with spears that has a 2" attack range.
  2. RAW suggests yes. However, most of our best unit already wound on 3+ so it's not very useful.
  3. I too hope it isn't mandatory. It's a shame because we'd lose 'at least' (since the deathmask used to reroll 1's to hit) 1/10 of their firepower.
  4. They're 90 points and I only have 80 points left unfortunately. I can't take a unit of 30 to get the discount since I need 2 battlelines.
  5. Hey everyone, I'll be playing a few 1000 points games in the next weeks and I need help for the last points. My list is currently 1 demonsmith, 2x10 ironsworn, 2 daemon engines and 2 magma cannons, which leaves 80 points free. My first draft of the list had 2x10 fireglaives but I really didn't know what to do with 60 points since I can't take 10 marauders anymore. I was thinking about adding either 10 kairic acolytes as a meat shield, a chaos chariot (though it's way worse than the one with the gorebeast), a seeker chariot for the speed or the mask of Slaanesh. I'm not that interested in an additional CP since I don't have a command ability.
  6. Hi everyone, I'm still on the fence about a few things and I wondering if you could help me. I like the Myrmourn Banshees but you're paying 210 points for 12 wounds with a 4+/6++. They become very strong after a dispel (with +3 if the unit is full) but then they need to start the game on the board unless you get first turn. It's even worse if your opponent has no caster but it's not that common. Even if you get first turn and deepstrike them next to your opponent you'll either get a combat phase without +1 attack or they'll stand there doing nothing and get killed. Do you prefer the knight of shrouds on foot or on steed ? I plan on playing a shroudguard (20+10 bladegheists) and maybe 12 banshees. The knight on foot is better with the bladegheists but the kight on steed makes the banshees deal a lot more damage. How strong are 30 reapers? 2x10 chainrasps + 30 reapers are almost the same price as 2x20 chainrasps + 6 spririt hosts. I guess the spirit hosts aren't that good unless you play a black coach? But I'm not too sure about playing small units of chainrasps. I like the beacon of Nagashizzar. Is the midnight tome useful if you already have 2 casters in your army (reikenor + a guardian of souls) ? The cloak from Shyish and maybe the artifact from Ghur that gives -1 to hit seem pretty good. What are the must-have in your opinion ? This is what my army currently looks like but I'm not totally satisfied and there are 40 points left (maybe for an endless spell like the palisade or the geminis ?)   7. Has anyone tried a heavy magic list for this edition ? I was thinking about using something like this. Please note that the list doesn't include the artifacts and commandf trait yet as I haven't really looked into them for the new edition. Hysh can be useful to counter the lens of refraction and has some very good spells/artifacts. The extra command point can give us some rerolls with kroak's ability. I'm planning to use this list tomorrow for a "casual game" against someone I know well (we sometimes test some cheesy stuff). PS : I know the clubs are better when you play less than 20 saurus warriors but we play WYSIWYG.
