  1. Warcry - Full boxset reveal (Swamp Warband vs Horns of Hashut), confirmation of it being a new edition, "keep an eye on WarCom for more information!" Underworlds - Witch Hunters Kill-Team - Karskin vs Genestealers (upgrade kit?) Blood Bowl - Chaos Dwarfs Necromunda - Scavies?
  2. I've not turned towards Path To Glory in 3.0 despite my desire to, but it looks like an opportunity to do so will be coming up soon. I have a question I've been trying to wrack my head around. General's Handbook content isn't relevant to PtG outside of points changes/warscroll tweaks etc, right? I know Thondia has a load of PtG-specific content, but outside of that I don't need to look up anything beyond the core rulebook and my Battletome? Cheers.
  3. The new Deathrattle Skeletons. They're the right amount of low, gritty fantasy whilst presumably being distinct from future Freeguild armour designs to give them a more unique Death look to them. They're still clearly skeletons despite wearing a lot of armour also.
  4. Another Shade video, this time from Vincey V. Touches on zenithals and how they take over metals.
  5. The Shadowstalker seems an exception, at least. Arguably so are the StD 'Cultists', although most people are probably running those to avoid having to buy the ancient Marauders. Kill-Team sells well because most of it's kits are intended to be 100% cross-compatible, rather than either as alt-sculpts or "we had the intern write rules on his lunch because you'd be nagging otherwise" unlike... say, Blackstone Fortress. I'd be shocked if they don't continue this mindset going into War Cry 2.0, at least for the non-StD factions. A sale is a sale, even if none is playing the game itself and is buying it for AoS sculpts.
  6. Apparently GW's gotten rid of all it's external 40k playtesters (according to Honest Wargamer). Not a big surprise considering how many leaks the ship was springing, seems like it was inevitable. Be interesting to see what happens on the AoS/30k/Specialist side of things.
  7. I don't think the claws are long enough for FEC. They're usually very long and narrow, whereas these are more stubby by comparison. The hands/fingers themselves tend to be quite defined, whereas the Rumour Engine's look to have a bit of meat (no pun intended) on them. The Big 40k Leak last year mentioned Daemons would be getting some new things so my bet's on that. Could also be Gorgers I suppose.
  8. Faction-separated Narrative Event at Warhammer World in October. I'm tempted.
  9. GW really want rid of Tzaangors don't they? I'm surprised the Tzeentch model is The Curseling. He was one of the newer Fantasy models and hardly needed a resculpt, even if the new one is still very nice.
  10. Sounds like something went wrong with recent batches. Duncan Rhodes commented the same thing happened to him.
  11. They've said League are still a few months out and I'd expect War Cry around the same slot as Kill-Team was (August). They could easily fill July with the CSM stuff. August has Mechanicum for 30k and might include new kits, but otherwise there's still plenty of Marine stuff for 30k to fill out July and August. My guess is they might slip the next two Battletomes either into the end of August or September. They'll presumable have to do a Preview for War Cry at some point soon since I'd imagine they'll want to push it as a big edition change.
  12. Alright, more serious answer this time. 1) Ogor Gluttons - I actually think the Ogre Kingdom range as a whole has aged very well to say they're knocking on around 17 years old, including these models The problem is they're very clearly designed for ranking up and the Gluttons are by far the worst offender (Ironguts and Leadbelchers I think get away with it okayish) of all the models 'ported from Fantasy. An army of them, not ranked up, looks weird with them all being in nigh-identical, awkward poses of having their arms tucked in and holding their weapons the way way. Chaos Warriors kind of got away with a similar issue by being human-sized but Ogres are so large that extra attention is drawn to it. 2) Marauders - For being such a core part of the Warriors of Chaos/Slaves to Darkness range I'm genuinely baffled such an ancient kit hasn't been updated yet. At this point it's purely an age issue - they're old and it shows. 3) Rat Ogres - Those awful joints and massive gaps. Marauders suffer from similar problems, but at least them being smaller means less attention is drawn to it. I put them below Gluttons and Marauders just because they're not the primary infantry models of the Skaven line. (Dishonourable Mention) Horrors - Bring back the designs of the disturbing/mid-mutation Horrors. They didn't make the list because technically the models aren't bad, they just feel like a visual downgrade compared to what came before.
  13. Influencers have their hands on the new Contast and shades. Warning for Nighthaunt players. Looks like Nighthaunt Gloom and Hexwraith Flame will have a different finish to them. If they're going to replace the current 'Technical' version it might be worth grabbing a few while you can.
  14. Looking like we might have an idea of what the redesigned Freeguild could look like. Chaos Legionnaires appear to be very similar to the 2.0 banner artwork. Traitor Freeguild?
  15. Chaos Legionnaires being Traitor Freeguild makes a lot of sense if they're supposed to be a unit associated with Be'lakor, what with the whole scheming and manipulation angle rather than having too big of a standing army of barbarians the way Archaon does.
  16. More colour choice is good but there's some weird disparities there. Did we really need three more yellows that don't look drastically different to what's there already? Corax White's relative chalkiness gets brought up a lot so it's nice to see they've, apparently, remedied that. Let the battle between Mortarion Grime and thinned Skeleton Horde begin.
  17. If I had a nickel for every time GW released a Warcry warband on stilts I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.
