  1. Chaos marauders with flails may be a good battline horde choice. So 5 to hit 3 to wounds because of there barabarian hord typically 4 to hit occasionally 2 to wound. Built in reroll 1 to hit. If You take a chaos sorcerer the slaanesh spell that makes it so you can get +1 to hit a unit if you beat there bravery mostly for hordes. You can get them to 3 and 3 with horde sometimes 3 and 2 rerolling 1. Then take the invader banner for +1 to hit. So 2 and 3 sometimes 2 and 2 rerolling 1 to hit and 6 explode into 3 hits. This could be a good way to deal with with other hordes if you dont want to use BoC.
  2. They could creat more issues on accident what happens to modifiers to cast and rerolls to cast. I could see that geeting messed up if they deliniate the spells and endless spells to much. I think if they dont want endless spells to get depravity they will just say that. It is an easier fix that way.
  3. Yeah They could easily do the whole wound mortal wound thing. We're for a while our summon ability got faq not to work with mortal wounds contridicting core rules.

Malign sorcery page 53 under endless spell models paragraph 2 "Unless noted otherwise, an endless spell model cannot be attacked or affected by spells or abilities; it is treated as a friendly model by all armies for any other rules purposes." Malign sorcery designer notes. "Q: Do things that increase the range of a caster’s spells also apply to the distance at which an endless spell can be set up from the caster? A: No. Things that increase the range of a spell’s effects do not apply to the distance at which an endless spell can be set up. By the same token, things that allow you to measure the range of a spell from a different location to the caster cannot be used when setting up an endless spell. Q: If a Wizard has an ability that increases the number of mortal wounds inflicted by the spells they cast, does this ability also apply to the abilities of any endless spells that the wizard casts? A: No." These dont work because "cannot be attacked or affected by spells or abilities" our depravity system does not affect the spell at all. It does not add or change any parameters of the spell. Yes endless spells are spells. From designer commentary "Q: Do abilities that provide protection against the effects of spells, or wounds inflicted by spells, also provide protection against the effects or wounds inflicted by an endless spell? A: Yes." An item that falls in this catagory is ulgu item spell mirror. On 5+ you ingore the spell. It say nothing about endless spells. Why does it work because endless spells are spells for all other rule purposes. It is still possible gw goes the opposite way but raw our allegience ability has no affect on endless spells so they would generate depravity.
  5. Another backing this is the terrorghiest ghoul king. Some one did terrorghiest vs frostlord on stone horne and the terroghiest got destroyed. Even when the terrorghiest attacked first it still lost the majority of battles. There is only 40pt (terroeghiest is cheaper) difference here but terroghiest with all its abilities from the book is different story it swings wildy the other way. DoK is another one the level of synergy is so high within the book. You dont only make one of the most killy battlines but one of the toughest thanks to haganar. There are multiple units under priced as well as they did not get hit with the wholly withinrulei . bloodshrines being one of the main culprits. Hopefully ghb 2019 starts following that philosophy and points on units go up to more accurately reflect that.
  6. I do think gw overpriced daemon. I get that there books makes them better but there are armies that have a book and are under price. That some things are being valued at a higher price that may not be justified. Example based on rulea on warscroll Skeletons and daemonettes vs 4+ save. 40 skeleton With spear 280 30 get in 7.4 wound With hero nearby for +1 to hit 11.25 40 skeleton With sword 20 get in 7.5 With hero nearby 9.9 30 daemonettes 20 get in 6.6 30 get in 9.9 The big diffence is daemoneetes are way faster then skeletons. skeletons got to keep a horde bonus and get a hit bonus if a hero is nearby. This is not taking in consideration there battletome abilities just the warscrolls. I get that in an abjective game mobility is important. If you can't shift or outnumber the opponenet at the end of combat you won't get to keep the objectives. Some of the point value they put on units are a bit odd. Different abilities bring different value for sure but some things are over valued. It does seem abilities and artifacts within the battletome is pushing up unit cost as well though not at same rate.
  7. Blood lords has the activate at the beginning of combat artifact blood halo. What happens is locus and the blood halo cancel each other and you attack normally. However watch out for the contorted epitome. The epitome gets to use the locus but also has horrible fascination ability. The horrible fascination ability activates at the beginning of combat on a 4+ the enmy unit activates at the end of combat and hits all enemy units within 6 inches. If the model with halo of blood gets hit by both you will still be pushed to the end of combat. Just watch out for it and pay attention to your positioning.
  8. Tyrants does not neutralize locus. All it does is make the requiment to lock them down higher. They have to locus all bloodthirsters. That makes it significantly harder to stop the bloodthirster as your opponent has to locus all of them. Its still a good strategy just be aware that it can still fail.
  9. In order for all the bloodthirsters to attack then at least 1 needs to not have been hit by the locus.
  10. locus of diversion is an ability not a spell so that won't work.
  11. Actually you see langauge that's about the same in magic the gathering as an example and it works exactly like that. Though they have different terminology for functionally the same thing magic uses in play aos use on the battlefield. So IE would stack that way as each IE ability would count all IE on the battlefield and that's how many dp you would get. This may be were some one is coming to that conclusion by playing other games were that wording works as described and is not a problem. In aos it's broken as hell to use it that way to any one that can think. Then again aos has let things stack multipletimes. Fyreslayers was allowing there save to reach 1+ from 5+ granted 1 always fail and this happened in thier new book because the wording allowed stacking until the faq fixed the wording.
  12. Its one those Raw things were yeah it does say that but dear God that is wildly over powered so yeah let's take that interperatation what could possibly go wrong. Man people that desperate to power game just sad. The book is good without that nonsense.
  13. Apparently there are some bad actors running around with the enrapturess. So how this works is let's say you have 2 of them on the table. The ability says "you recieve 1 dp for EACH infernal enrapturess that is on the battlefield." So you generate 2 from the ability because there are 2 on the battlefield. Meaning you in total get 4dp with each enrapturess generating 2. That is an interpretation of the reading clearly a broken way of doing it.
  14. Skaven will be the worst to deal with they have a big toolbox and numbers. They can use a lot of toolbox at the same time. So they can cover multiple angles to be fairly flexible. I think they have some of the best shooting in the game.

He cast some spells and tried to get to me. Because of deploymet we we were really far part and as fast as he was he still needed 10in charge after runing for 6. Failed on 6xflayers and terror ghiest. He also used command abilities to bring on more flayers. My turn daemon prince uses and sacrifices the cameo for rerolls and gets gets rerolls rest of game. Got some acquiescence off. Kos charges terror ghiest, daemon prince charges 3xflayers, and chariot charges 6xflyers. Locus goes off on terror ghiest and 6xflayers. He activates 3xflayer daemon prince jumps the que and kills 1 and and half. They attack daemon prince takes some damage. Keeper kills terror ghiest in 1 activation. Keeper activated again to help daemon prince finish off the flayers. Chariot was meh rolled bad it ended up dying in the end. Also piled in hellstriders into the 6x flayers with chariot. Lost chariot and hellstriders he lost 2 flayers. Those were my only loses all game. Points 3 to 3 Round 2 flesh eater has priority. He moves other terrorghies off objective to try to take one of mine from hellstriders fails charge. Charged remaining flayers from the 6 man squad into infernal, vice leader and epitome because of placement he taged them all. Failed locus then epitome horrible fascination worked. Got that unit down to 2 flayers they could only attack epitome and failed to kill it. My turn cast some spells healed the epitome with the kos spell for 2. Got mirror to cast did 4mw to his general. Movement positioned kos to charge his general or the remaining terror ghiest. Dp at this time 55 summoned epitome by the open objective he moved the terror ghiest from then summoned 30 daemonettes by epitome. Summoned a enrapturess by fane got 3dp back. Shooting failed miserably. Charge the terror ghiest with 30 daemonettes made it. Charged his general with keeper. Daemon prince charged another courtier i think. Locus trigger from keeper and the epitome who was still in combat so I activated the daemonettes only got him to 7 wounds he had the bonus after save on the terror ghiest could of positioned daemonettes better for more attacks. Courtier activated daemon prince jumps the que almost kills it then he fails to kill the daemon prince. Keeper kill general and epitome finished off the flayers. Terror ghiest kills 15 daemonettes so I used cp to auto pass. Points I have 7 to 3. Round 3 I win roll. Game ended he didnt see a way of coming back. I had 19dp at the start of my turn after the combat from last turn. Definently ended up being a bad match up for him so many multi wound models. His army was using the chalice to heal and was returning flayers with the courtier that backfired a bit because I had higher damage and the activation from the locus.
  16. Assuming the game continued what would summoning look like? I know you have to make sum assumptions just curious. I found it to quickly overwhelm your opponent especially when they play multi wound models. Then yeah the locus was brutal as well. I do believe some armies are going to hate playing slaanesh.
  17. If you plan on using 3 blood thirster and you get all the charges. Then as long as 1 of them is not pushed back to last then they should all go immidiatly as long as you pick one that was not foorced to last. The multi activation of blood thirsters is not a strike first ability so wouldnt interact with the locus unless of course all of them got pushed to last. So in order for this to fail all blood thirsters must be pushed to last, fail your charge, or activate incorrectly. A bloodthirster with the stike first artifact if he gets taged by the locus then its back to normal activation. However the epitome can tag him again at the begining of combat with horrible fascination and push him back to last. This comes down to positioning on both sides and how the slaanesh list was built. I could see them using doppleganger cloak as back up if they get in a bad spot. This creats more issues.
  18. On average would of been at 9 or 10 ish wounds unless he spiked the dice then he could of completely healed. Granted he could wiff it just as easily.
  19. Did the damaged keeper that killed the lord have sinostrous hand? Because if it did he suppose to heal d6wounds at the end of combat phase for killing a hero. Then d3 after killing a bestigor model in the next combat phase. Just curious if you remember.
  20. after maggot kin we moved to aos 2. Yet some of those books before ghb 2018 did not move completely to wholly within and unmodified rolls. This would benifit maggot kin if there stuff moved to unmoddifed rolls. While dok would be slightly weeker if moved to wholly within on more of there stuff. Maybe some point changes too. We Also noticed some armies cant have it all especially armies that have large tool boxes you got to pick a direction to go you can have some tools on side but not a lot sce fits that. Skaven has a massive tool box and doesnt necessarilly need to make hard decisions that can be a problem. Making it easy to build against multiple scenarios. FEC is a very focused list and comes off as a rock paper scissor scenario. Where to deal with it armies have to specialize to a point it becomes a problem for them in other areas. Assuming they even have tools in the toolbox to deal with in a meaningful way. Then how are they deciding points? Thats not clear is it to sale models. Is it based on the new battletome the models belong to. Is it taking in consderation how they interact with other battletomes with the grand alliance.
  21. they could clarify it in depravity rules. Add section saying something like slaanesh endless spells add depravity when damages enemy units for the player who cast it or they could just say no.
  22. I think there is some list play in shyish. The ethereal amulet. The goblet of draining this will do d3mw to a hero you wounded on a 5+. The thing is it says wounded meaning if we give it to the enrapturess she can become a better sniper since her shooting will trigger it. Banshee blade is a maybe each time you roll a 6+ to hit you roll against the units bravery equal to or higher to do d3 mw in addition to its normal damage.
  23. I'm finding more beneficial then people gave credit. After building it and measuring the range of its abilities its bigger then people gave it credit. Depending on the battle plan its possible to put in spots to use the reroll mechanic all the time. The idea of sacrificng a wound for rerolls and then launching flying keeper over there front line is funny because that puts you opponent in a sucky situation.
