  1. I just went and looked at the article it says unmodified 6 so buffing them is out. Well outside of something that allows rerolls to saves.
  2. I think it will still come down to cost. If Brazen is still a thing then I guess you could buff them. Is it unmodified save rolls of 6 or 6+ saves?
  3. You beat me to it. 100% agree. We might see it middle of next week if a leak hits or someone's book shows up early.
  4. To be fair there isn't a guarantee that there will be anything at all. There could be nothing besides a book. We don't even have confirmation of that.
  5. The difference is that all of the other 3 Heralds received a large release and most are basing the speculation on that.
  6. Depending on where you are playing if you explain which one is the "Prime" to your opponent you should be fine as well. Tournaments will be stricter on this however.
  7. I went from the community page and it took me to the new errata. Weird.
  8. You can mix and match. I'd lean to the grandblade or grandhammer. The axe would be better if it had more than 1" range. It won't get into range of enough models to make it worth it. Mathematically speaking the blade and hammer will generate the exact same amount of wounds on average. Depending on which Stormhost you pick can influence which one you take. A Knight-Azyros with them is thematic and allows rerolling of 1s in both shooting and combat. So consider him as well.
  9. For sure. No reason you can't use her as a generic LAoD with no modification. This is probably what I'm going to do. If you want your LAoD to be a male sculpt vs the female sculpt and keep the honestly amazing base the potential is there. I was just surprised to see it done for an ETB kit. The LAoGC for instance has his legs modelled directly on to the body of the Gryphcharger.
  10. Technically it doesn't and as someone said the Lord is to be built from the Evocators kit. With that being said GW did something amazing with the ETB kit. Astreia is fully separate from the Dracoline. I don't know what the riders for the Evocators kit are going to be like but I'm hoping you will be able to fit it on the ETB Dracoline.
  11. Don't take a Stormhost rule and you will. I do understand though. I'm likely to be using Cleansing Phalnax so I'll get 2. I'm still waiting for more Sequitors though.
  12. Just build a 1950 point force and get extra CP. Easy peasy. You don't want to use most of the battalions anyways...... I do wish they would let us buy Relics for points though. It would probably be really unbalanced though.
  13. Depending on the level you play running a full Vanguard list while not the best isn't going to stop you from winning games. Also as Stormcast you are unlikely to be shot off the table in turn 1 because you probably don't have everything on the table. About the only thing I'd argue against using is the 12 Grpyh hounds. Even at their cheaper point cost I still think they are horrible. I personally don't think that anything in the Stormcast arsenal is objectively bad. Worse than other things that Stormcast can field yes, but definitely not worst units in the game. I run a almost pure Vanguard list at 1000 points that a guy at my old shop absolutely hates. He is straight up afraid of Vanguard Hunters coming in off the board edge. Biggest thing you are going to have to figure out is who is going to be the general. With the Lord Aqulior as general the Hunters become battleline or the Lord-Arcanum with Sequitors as battleline. You are going to have to buy either a box of Liberators (or find some cheap on Ebay which is really doable) or Judicators to fill out your 3rd battleline for 2000 point games. Side point the Souls Wars box doesn't give you enough Sequitors to make 2 full units so to make them usable you need to buy the easy to build kits or one of the new smaller starters that come out on Sat (which are just easy build kits anyways). Honestly best advice is to put together a list you think is the best and try it out. Get the new battletome and work on it from there.
  14. I'm pretty sure it says an identical unit that died.
  15. The rules specifically state the warscrolls override anything else. Everyone needs to understand this because it keeps coming up. With that being said the stating that Evocators can't use these spells is redundant in the battletome but it does cause needless confusion.
  16. Redeemer keyword would be crazy with Evocator backup. I could agree that a 3+ would make sense in the context of Evocators at 200 points
  17. I'm interested to see how it fares? I actually have models to do this list as well (outside of the unreleased stuff) Would/do you lean towards a specific Stormhost? I think all the good ones have options with this list; Anvils for double attacks on 4 charging Fulminators, Tempest Lords for wound rerolls of 1 and CP refund/extra, Celestial Vindicators for reroll hit rolls of 1 and +1 attack on the charge. I might even drop 5 x Sequitors plus shackles for Knight Incantor
  18. Yeah. That is why I mentioned it. His list has LAoGC though so it potentially won't see any use because of the command ability. It also won't help the Judicators if you are facing a Chaos list but at a 100 pts it is pretty solid in any list now. Yes very much so. Both the Sequitors and Evocators are going to be very strong. You will probably see a bunch of Ballista/Ordinator lists as well.
  19. You won't get away from lack of boots on the ground at 1k. Not with Stormcast.
  20. Are you going to take a Stormhost or just run generic? You have no artifcat or command trait. I don't see the point of the Cogs unless it is meant to get your Sequitors into something? I would switch out the Cogs and Skinks for a Knight-Ayrzos to reroll 1s for all your shooting. Your block of Sequitors won't use that but the Judicators and Ballistas will. You are going to have to use your Judicators to protect your Ballista though.
