  1. Nothing that you probably don't already know..... It kicks ****** against some armies, but anything that negates rend or has -1 to hit makes for a long day.?
  2. I'm pretty sure you meant a +2 attacks on the drones, right? I like your list, but I find it to be a little hero-light. Also, the GUO may find it hard to keep up with the drones, depending on terrain, unit placement etc. He has a large footprint for shadowing..... that said, I never leave home without him?. You will need to be very careful and keep the Glott screened with those PBs. The scenario could make or break this list. Still, it'll be a fun slugfest.

  4. Yup. I missed that. To be honest, there's nothing wrong with that list at all. I've played a similar one a few times. I just have a preference for blight cyst.
  5. Looks pretty solid.... the only thing I'd change,---and this is just my preference, is a blight lord instead and blight cyst. You'd have a little trouble freeing up the 20 pts, tho. And the synergy that you have would change a bit, but I like his command ability better. Also, check out some of the cool artifacts in the Malign sorcery book. In particular ulgu for the sword of judgement, or Ghyran for Ghyrstrike. Either of these on the Verminlord are epic.
  6. I ran the list shown. Game was over turn one with over half of his force (Fireslayers)wiped out. I jumped an objective on the first turn for 3 VP with the warlocks and killed everything on the other side of the table with the witch elves. Game over as he wasn't going to be able to contest 2 of the 3 objective points. In all fairness, I've NEVER seen worse dice than this dude rolled. When his tunneler unit charged, they were supposed to do a MW for every one of his guys that was within 8" of the unit charged. He rolled 25 dice..... not a single 6. The game actually went south further from there for him. He rage quit then. I'm sorry for that as we were both trying new armies for the first time .
  7. Yup..... don't sell these guys short. With the Glott giving them +1 attack, an extra wound (maybe) and DR from the Harby, plus maybe -2,-1 to hit from LoB they're unmovable. Also, with any luck at all, you'll be hitting on 3s, re-rolling 1s. Movement 6". What's not to like? The models are old, yeah. But far from the worst that GW has to offer. Have you ever checked out fiends of Slaanesh?? That's just one of a long list of less than great sculpts. Just sayin'.

  9. Well, I kinda remember the first time I wanted one of these suckers, I had to buy 2 seeker chariots and follow the (included) instructions on how to assemble an exalted chariot. Comes to just about the same price, and it's still included in the SC box. As of now, anyway.

I hope you've got some trees to drop, and it IS too bad that you couldn't come up with something else than that unit of 10 PBoys..... they'd be so much more effective in a small unit like that if you summoned them. Maybe for the future, try to work in a unit of marauders..... with the Glott and the harbinger as well as the LoB buffing them they are not to be ignored.

  13. You may need to re-read that scroll for the Harbinger..... it states that he can give "a' unit the 5+ save. Singular now as opposed to the 7" bubble effect of before. Still pretty potent though.
  14. Thanks for that. I'm totally lost on these gals.... haven't played them since 8th ed. Big changes and I'm still struggling to put together a force. I may have to proxy in some witches.... I can use some of my other dark elves for that, I guess.
  15. Wait.... are you saying that only the cult prayers (what I call 'generic') are limited to one try per turn?
  16. Each priestess knows 2 'generic' prayers, as well as the one she picks. The slaughter queen knows an additional prayer so, she would have four to choose from.....thus three attempts.
  17. Cogs seems like a DLHWI. Just don't forget that your opponent gets the buff as well.
  18. Yeah, that's why I said it. Blades/demonic power/Sayl teleport/cogs..... that's a lot to have happening in order for this to work. If one or two of those spells fails or gets dis-spelled it doesn't work out so swell. That's why the battalion. At least you have the -1 to hit across the board no matter what.
  19. Appears so, if you have enough CPs to pull it off. 3 attacks (on charge) w/ blades +2 for the CPs,=5, then 3 each for the staves. Makes for basically one turn of very nasty unless you have some way of ensuring 2 Cps for multiple turns? Lots of stuff has to happen for this to work, tho.
  20. I appear to be wrong. I stand corrected. My bad. Sorry. Now what you should do is drop the second unit of knights and make it a plaguetouched battalion.
  21. Pretty sure that it's stated in the battletome that it's only command TRAITS and ARTIFATS that don't affect mounts. Spells, abilities, etc do.
  22. He can use it as many times as you have the points, yes. But NOT on the same unit. This has been Faq'd everywhere for everyone that has these type of abilities, i.e. the Glotkin. No +3 attacks just because you have 3 cp. Sorry.?
