  2. Hi everyone. I'm back on teh Daughters for a while and played a fun MSU list tonight. Allegiance: Daughters of Khaine- Temple: KhailebronLeadersMorathi High Oracle of Khaine (480)- Lore of Shadows: Pit of ShadesBloodwrack Medusa (140)- General- Trait: Mistress of Illusion - Artefact: Shadow Stone - Lore of Shadows: Mirror DanceBloodwrack Medusa (140)- Lore of Shadows: Steed of ShadowsHag Queen (60)- Prayer: Catechism of MurderBattleline10 x Blood Sisters (280)10 x Witch Aelves (100)- Pairs of Sacrificial Knives10 x Witch Aelves (100)- Pairs of Sacrificial KnivesUnits10 x Doomfire Warlocks (320)- Lore of Shadows: Mindrazor5 x Blood Stalkers (160)5 x Khinerai Heartrenders (80)5 x Khinerai Heartrenders (80)Endless SpellsAethervoid Pendulum (40)Quicksilver Swords (20)Total: 2000 / 2000 The basic plan is to have a bunch of options for spells early on. I can deploy deep and take 1st or 2nd turn and still be able to put a threat out anywhere on the table. Khalibron move to get magic in range, Mirror dance to get Morathi up there too and get Line of sight to juicy targets. Steed of shadows on the Medusa for shooting opportunities. The list seems to have a bunch of options and is flexible but its quite a glass hammer. I'm looking for thoughts on: Warlocks 10 vs 2x5. The 10 is very powerful early game, especially when its protected and moved up with Mistress of Illusion ability. Dropping a unit in where it can't be unbound and can dish out 6 mortals is great. If arcane is on the table +2 makes it tough to unbind. Blood Sisters 10 vs 2x5. first game with 10 tonight. Buffs make them very good. I might be able to squeeze 3x5 in the list with some tweaks Spell Selection. I think I have it right. not dead sure. Pit on Morathi just for extra damage output Prayer selection. Seems t ehobvious one with the blood sisters. Turns my 1 combat unit into a massive hammer

  5. At the moment it's an open field. Anyone who writes something we can post it up. Once we have established a routine I will start to look for themes and specifics. A good place to start is TGA itself. If you are already part of some great discussions on here then maybe look at summarising them . Highlight a forum thread and why it is worth an extra look. The faction threads are good for this. Same applies to the painting area. Maybe a top 5 painting blogs If you have a great idea you would like to write an article about then just let me know and send it in. thanks!
  6. Happy New Year everyone. Here at TGA we have an article section that, other than a few initial posts, has lay dormant for the last 2 years. In 2019 I am looking to bring articles back to the site and it would be great if our members had a chance to post their thoughts. Infernal Guard Battle Standard Bearer 25mm - I have a pack of these in my hand and they are packaged with 25mm rounds. Infernal Guard Castellan 25mm Infernal Guard Fireglaives 25mm Infernal Guard Ironsworn 25mm Iron Daemon War Engine 120 x 92mm K’Daai Fireborn 50mm Magma Cannon 105 x 70mm - I use 120 on my magmas and it fills the base. Not sure a 105 is a good idea here? Shar’tor the Executioner 105 x 70mm Skullcracker War Engine 170 x 105mm - The 120 is WAY too small. _______________
  8. The Dragon replaced the Iron Deamon! I put him in for a change of list. I think it has some legs as an extra combat unit for relatively cheap points. Not as good as the Skullcracker, but fly is nice.
  9. I played last night. The list was really fun but I think it needs a little something else. Probably some more bodies as I was using the fireglaives for that role. I Its a nice unit but didn't really do much. I felt the army as a whole struggled with lack of retools so i'm considering a BSB in there too Its tough to fit it all in. Maybe swap the dragon for more fireglaives? I'm not sure at the moment. Another thing is that all my infantry is on 32mm bases. I feel that I could swap them to 25mm and get a bit more mileage from them.
  10. Solid man! very solid. I'd say that the Deathshrieker is the weak link but the rest is excellent!

  12. See above!!!!! I posted the FAQ answer!!! WOUNDS and MORTAL WOUNDS are two different things. Your ability needs to state witch it works against. Blackshard armour only works against the first WOUND allocated.

  16. I don't know. If people are concentrating on hitting the blobs then you are happy with that right? Build some CP's into the list. 30+ Ungor are Bravery 7. If you kill 9 and roll a 6 only 8 die. It's hardly devastation.
  17. Is anyone playing any lists with 200 Ungor? I've started writing some twists and it seems to be a solid option. 200 points for 40. 5 units. Might seem spammy but it would be quick and easy to push them around the table. The other 1000 points would need to do the heavy lifting but sheer weight of numbers should be hard to deal with. Has anyone played a full horde???
  18. Hi, Praise Hashut! Welcome to the Legion. The rules for wounds/damage/allocating are pretty clear. Its all in the core book. page 232. You make an attack. Roll Hit, Roll Wounds, Roll any armour saves, Work out the damage and THEN allocate wounds. Both the Blackshard Armour and the Hellshard Amulet now step in and negate those wounds. E.g. If you did 2x D3 damage you would roll the damage, then roll that many saves on your Hellshard amulet. Remember though, Mortal Wounds are treated differently. an ability has to specify that it negates mortal wounds for it to work against them . Hope this helps!
