  1. Thanks for the initiative ! As I said in the rumours thread, I'm hesitating between Lethis (I like the colours and their gothic/macabre feel) and Vindicarum (I'm usually a fan of turquoise and I like the classic religious aspect of Warhammer universes). I like Excelsis too, but it's a bit less catchy. The problem is that I'd have a hard time converting the Lethis troops with lots of things like skulls, ravens' skulls, parchments, candles... As for Vindicarum, the old flagellants are a big negative for me. There's still the option of a personal colour scheme : I was thinking a mix of beige/cream and deep red, almost burgundy. It's a real curse to choose when you're indecisive and picky like me... 😅
  2. I feel your pain too! I'm in the same situation, but with Lethis, Vindicarum and maybe Excelsis. The problem is that I'd like to have an army that reflects its nature through details specific to its city, but I'm no good at converting... Perhaps we should open a mutual aid topic on this vital issue 😅.
  3. I'm not so sure... It would be an odd way to refer to the army set as "first wave". I have more of an impression that it refers to all COS releases as a whole. But maybe you're right (which I hope you're not 😉).
  4. Am I the only one to deduce a certain subtext from what I've highlighted in bold ??
  5. Seraphon army set cost 170€ if I remember correctly ... Very surprising that there is a price drop for Cities (but I'm not going to complain about it !).
  6. In the video announcing pre-orders, we see a Cities army in Hammerhal Ghyra's colours (in Warhammer + battle report). Lighting distorts the rendering a little, but it looks nice !
  7. Pre-order yes. Tonight is the pre-order announcement (for an official release on 2 September).
  8. Based on the two guys on maw-grunta sides, we can imagine them smaller than brutes but fully armed (where we see the brutes' backs or feets). And all with helmets. I hope there will be enough differences between the two units. I like the concept of big, angry greenskins covered in armour, but there's a risk of having a repetitive design.
  9. Next Warhammer + season teasing ! https://www.warhammer-community.com/2023/08/16/knights-necrons-and-more-in-new-animations-coming-up-on-warhammer/
  10. Yes, this is the only Finecast reference in FEC range. It's a long way from the BoC (7), ogors (8) and skavens (13, 10 of which are still in metal oO), the 3 armies with the most entries in this category, but ghouls simply need more entries... Personally, I'd put my money on 5/6 new kits, which would already be a respectable-sized release on the AoS scale.
  11. Is Wrekkaz weirdboy a unit or a character? I can't decide but I'd say the second option.
  12. Thank you very much @Elarin ! (I'm running out of emotes 😛) I'd put my money on two characters. When you know GW's propensity to release more characters than units... At the moment (counting known but unreleased reveals like COS), there are, in purely AoS releases, 63% characters (generic and named) to 30% units, since the game launched in 2015 (and 6.5% war machines/monsters). If you add Warcry (I'm deliberately leaving Underworlds out), the percentage of units rises logically : 58% characters, 34% units and 7% machines/monsters. Of course I'm happy to be wrong !
  13. Just to be sure, aren't Warcry's monsta-killaz in the 5 new kits? They're all ironjawz, aren't they ? I think so, given your informations, but I've been left in doubt. 😅
  14. All the same, COS leaks won't be all that damaging for GW at Nova Open : if these Ironjawz/troggoth rumours are confirmed, GW will have a nice little preview to do for AoS after all (what would it have been like with last Cities minis at the same time...).
  15. Yes, I should have specified : "old" new scouts. 😋 Coming back to AoS, are we going to have several units, including the ardboyz, or are we going to have characters to accompany them ? I can't wait @Elarin to tell us more, i'm very curious about this release.
  16. Not to my knowledge. Whether it's the current version of KT or the previous one.
  17. I really hope so. The old WHB black orc kit was the reason I didn't get into this army at the time. Too many differences in style/sculpture between them and new ironjawz brutes. It's time to fix that !
  18. The next Kill Team release should be revealed at Nova Open with aeldari scorpions vs. sm scouts box (according to Chapter Valrak's info).
  19. Perhaps they've swapped release dates between Legion Imperialis and COS army set? It's just a guess but it would seem feasible as long as the Cities boxes are ready (but that probably explains why I don't work in logistics 😅).
  20. You already have a reader who'll be looking forward to it. 😉
  21. On the one hand, I don't think they've changed the original release date for army set, despite the leaks, but on the other, that's a lot of articles now for a box that should be out in early september... There's still hope. 😉
  22. Because not everyone plays competitively, but rather for minis beauty and/or lore aspects. Which is what I do. So I'll be playing an all-human army, no matter how powerful it is. I haven't started playing AoS yet so I won't have any relevant contribution to make to this thread in terms of gameplay. For me, the biggest challenge will be finding a colour scheme that suits me... At the moment I'm torn between Lethis, Vindicarum, Hammerhal-Aqsha or a homebrew version. I'm hoping that WarCo will come up with painting articles and photos of alternative schemes with as many models as possible to help me make the best choice !
  23. There's one thing that puzzles me about this magnificent COS release... Do you think the ironweld great cannon could be considered as a steampunk stuff ? I remember @Whitefang responding favourably to this a few months ago : https://www.tga.community/forums/topic/31743-the-mortals-redesign-discussion/?do=findComment&comment=596794 But I don't get impression that this canon is very 'advanced steampunk stuff'... Is it just me fantasising, or is there a hint of a possible 2nd wave? New BT also clearly mentions steam-walkers. With elite/heavy infantry, things related to Azyr and that, there's room for new COS human releases.
  24. The Cavalier-marshal is missing from this list. That makes 12 new kits (13 including Galen & Doralia Ven Denst, for 22 kits dating from WHB). This is one of GW's biggest releases at the moment. Astra Militarum also had 12 new kits and the Leagues of Votann had 11, to take example of recent big releases.
