  1. Valrak also kind of does that sometimes. Some videos, you can just watch one minute of a rumour video and get the gist, before he himself starts to heavily speculate about stuff or just begins giving out conjecture. Sometimes its difficult to even know which leaks he has are real, because he has the tendency to mix in rumours from his trusted source with rumours from another source. It also doesn’t help that his youtube persona is so heavy into the Zealous Imperial Space Marine roleplay that it is almost just masochistic to watch for someone who isn’t solely into Space Marines. I’ve unsubscribed to him because of it. I don’t think HW wants to be known as a rumourmonger, in fairness. I think it might jeopardize some old colleagues of him to consistently and loudly say he knows stuff from insider knowledge.
  2. It seems we were a little hasty on saying no boxset...
  3. It could be anything, from Epic 40k to a new Battlefleet Gothic… like apparently everything is coming out this year.
  4. I do kind of hope AoS Drath Zarr are aesthetically a lil different compared to their Old World ancestors. I like it the most when both armies are distinct, while also still mimicking elements of each other.
  5. I don't think there was, since if I remember correctly, the rumourmonger that mentioned spawning pools, was also heavily stating that the Final Arks of Omen book was about the Sanguinor, and that Lion El'Jonson was just overhyped conjecture. That turned to be a load of lies. Unless I'm not thinking of the right rumour-post.
  6. If I'm not mistaken, both the Slann piece and the painting of the Dawnbringers look to be made by Thomas Eliott, who has done a lot of artwork in recent years. Also, I want to bring to mind, that these are definitely handmade digital paintings. Eliott also did this piece of Celenar. Digital art has a lot of cool tools and brushes that can mimic almost any surface and texture, and this includes those wacky magical effects. If you're experienced, you know how to do this. In fact, I would speculate that them magical effect took reference from oil stains and soap bubbles. If you look closely and long enough, you notice those weird patterns on it.
  7. So, we now have some confirmation as to what old miniatures we’ll see resold. - The Green Knight - Knights of the Realm/Knights Errant (dual kit) - Bretonnian peasants - Bretonnian peasant archers - Field Trebuchet - Pegasus Knights - Goblin Wolf Riders (sneakily hiding in the front)
  8. I do love the new direction with the box-art, since it harkens back to the box-art from the time I got into the setting. I welcome it.
  9. What did they do last year for boxing day reveals? I can't easily find it. Also just realized we didn't get an advent rumour engine, which makes me sad.
  10. Going to mention the 40k preview again coming soon. Seeing as Warhammer Fantasy Battle was released in 83, and its 40th birthday coming around next year; could we expect The Old World being revealed on its birthday?
  11. I really like the new Gunpowder Weapons on this. One thing I desperately wanted out of the CoS was that the faction became distinct from the Old World Factions that it used to take its units from. Make the CoS look different from the Empire, the Dwarfs and Elves from Fantasy. In fact, the way that the designs look feels like a cool mix between Bretonnian and Empire aesthetics. It looks aesthetically very Medieval French, while also looking very "heavy".
  12. I did notice, that while a lot of sigmarite iconogaphy was shown, I got a Bretonnian vibe of off them. The symbolism look way more "Arthurian" to me than "Holy Roman Empire".
  13. I don't really know what GW could add outside of what you mentioned from CA, but I second on the Vampire Coast atleast. I also want specifically Cylostra. We don't know when she turned ethereal, but there is no reason it couldn't be before the Great War against Chaos. Finubar did his travels and would make sense for Bretonnia to send an envoy during that time. This is what makes me excited for the Old World. New characters that didn't live during the Warhammer Fantasy era. It's a complete clean slate (with some interesting exceptions). We could get a new overtyrant, Greenskin warlords, or Bretonnian dukes that only existed in that period. We could go far away and have, for example, a beastman character living in Cathay, or prominent Dark Elf character raiding the Hung up in Naggaroth.
  14. Just go to sleep. It is way more enjoyable to scroll over the reveals over breakfast than be sleep deprived and potentially dissapointed if the reveals don't meet your expectations. Any hopes or predictions this Adepticon?
  15. He kind of looks like the Hand of Nagash in a weird way...
  16. I always find it kind of a missed opportunity to not make these polls have multiple categories, like best Centerpiece, Best from Forgeworld, or best Underworlds Gang. Makes me want to make one myself... If I have the time and patience.
  17. I find it curious that people hold up hope for the Advent Engine this edition. It was going to be 40k related, with that Aeldari theming and now that we are almost done with the advent, there is no more room for doubt on that. I believe that everything will be related to the rumoured boxset between the Eldar and the Chaos Chosen. I actually don't know what is rumoured to be in the pipeline yet for AoS. Most of it is related to 40k, from what I've seen. Anything we're expecting for AoS in the winter?
  18. I’m very satisfied by the outcome, not because bad guys lose again, but because this might mean that Nagash is losing his control over the realm of Shyish and death itself. I’m interested in the consequences that this might bring.
  19. As AoS is starting to map out its worlds, I noticed that it really is starting to do what I always wanted the Elder Scrolls to do more; actually show its High Fantasy elements. The Elder Scrolls has so many interesting things that exists within its world, but we haven't seen much of that in a very long time. Do you know that at one time, Skyrim had flying whales? Did you know that Morrowind is now a massive ashen deadzone? Did you know that the Argonians invaded the Deadlands during the Oblivion crisis. There are so many things that we never get the chance of seeing in those games. AoS does show us this. We get entire armies of this stuff. Flying ships, ghost armies, a wandering moon... It actually dares to show this stuff to us. I'm not saying the lore of the Elder Scrolls is bad, but I severely want that they start giving us more of the stuff they hinted at in books, which ESO kind of does already. One thing I do miss about Fantasy was its grounded nature in history. With AoS, I feel like everything just kind of exists, with no form of development or a sense about what was before. Every race inside of the Mortal Realms just kind of always existed. No origin story outside of what we know about the Old World.
  20. I am convinced that that is just the skull of a Troggoth. I reckon that the Ur-Grub would probably have mandibles or something similar.
  21. Louen The Orc Slayer, eh? This is indeed taking place during the Time of Three Emperors.
  22. I don’t wnat to get my hopes up, but the accent of narrator gave me a very “Settra the Imperishable vibe”. Compare it with his voice in Total war.
  23. Could be another Warcry Warband. There is one symbol with a flayed head on a Chaos star. I'm hoping something Destruction related though.
