  1. i know the karkalord is so beautifull but why don't you take daemon prince instead, it's the same save and with the same artefact it will be as tanky. With better chance of self healing, faster movement and at least one rend -2 weapon. I'm not fan of dual bloostoker, dual bloodsecrator and dual wrathmongers. You could get another slaughterpriest and the hexgorger skulls (use them with daemon prince ability to jam enemy movement).

  3. There is no such thing that a "That Guy". Every one i met during game has some aspects of That Guy including me and it hurts me after i realise it.

  7. True about the competitive idoneth players.. the two i know are not even aware of the lore of their faction and AoS in general
  8. Not sure what i dislike more : a small faction that IS fine and doing well since start of AoS v2 and during AoS v3 but never gets updates, or older factions with lots of warscroll but nothing straightforward and where people have to tweak everyhting in order to have something playable
  9. well seraphon are very good against many things, especially khorne. I was a bit pissed of that my main opponent is always playing lumineths and seraphons at their maximum. Last time it was against foxes i could do nothing but i figures no ones could do anything either. Now i think he figures his armies are not fun to fight against and he's getting his nagash OBR list and it's more fair now. I manage to win against the seraphons once because i got my wotlk sarbrand and BToIR with RoV on Wotlk and Hexgorger Skulls so his magic was nothing. But he almost manage to kill all my units with all his anti daemons ability and it's a list i think will be weak against non heavy magic. It's really hard : heavy magic, heavy armor, heavy DPS .. seraphon is a pain in the ass but it was funnier than boring lumineth. I used my Unfettered fury twice since the V3 and i won't ever again because as soon as your big pieces that you want in melee are 3 to 6" from the opponent he will redeploy with a nice middlefinger to your army and that way you could have one weak DPS 295 unit with a useless ability and your big unit standing in the middle of the field waiting to getting slaughtered next turn. We need our buffs around our units and launching naked units toward the enemy at 22" is not very usefull because this unit will die soon after. The unfettered fury ability can work sometimes but if the enemy is aware it won't.
  10. Hey we are going to test the Soulbound starter Set with some friends and i would like to know if there is a minimal player count to use the starter set in the Faltering Light scenario ..
  11. I see Red i see KHORNE !!!! Anyway, strong feeling for Chaos Duardins are they work for the Iron Golems (sometimes they fight)
  12. yeah as every one is saying, khorne doesn't know where to excell. We are good in many things but not simultaneously, we have lost our identity (yeah our best unit, daemon prince, is here to delay combat ... not very khorny) and many other armies avec able to be excelent in domains we are only good, they can even be excellent in multiple domain when we struggle beeing good in one domain without loosing efficiency in other domains. We are able to win games, but never versus big meta list played by experts (except my list beats the sh*t of DoT Tzeentch muahaha). And we are not a easy to go army like "you wan't to play that ? ok then go it will works" .. no we are more like "you wan't to exist ? Don't take that, and that, and this one is mandatory .. and don't fight versus this army" One thing of our identity that was not stolen from others was our anti-magic / spells identity and those kruleboyz are stealing it from us right now !
  13. it's added to the battletome. It will bonus and ease of use for the current Battletome if it follows the same patern as the last two. There will probably be a small fluff with it and less usefull battle tactics and grand strategies. Many are not happies with the addition of more battle tactics and grand strategies because it adds more thing to remember even it is less usefull
  14. a warcry box with speficic destruction warbands fighting to be chosen alongside arch.. oups kragnos ! Or as we saw for 40k with the kill team box between necron and ultramarines : stormcast and kruleboyz with specific scenery for the kruleboyz
  15. Every one is hyped for Catah and i was coming here to see if i could find similar opinions as mine about not beeing happy about this Faction .. It's ok if you all like it and the creators do what they want with their game but i wil say what i need here as it will help me finding my arguments in the future when people will ask me why i don't like it. In the past my brother give me free ticket to go to the movie theater whatching "the great wall" because as a fireman he has free tickets by the town. Even if it was free i felt like i wasted something watching the movie. It felt so tasteless, with zero risk taking about creating something original and even dumb ideas for rule of cool. Well the Cathay faction give me the same feeling and i don't know if it's because i just don't want to like it or if i'm right. I need Grimdark added to it in the same manner we have crazy ugly fanatics working for the Empire ! It feels like in WoW when some dude added a Panda and a suddendly a whole fanbase was asking for the lore of the Panda nations and then they created a whole new expansion about it. I was sceptical at first and then i saw they manage to give a soul to the expansion and it fitted in the lore. But here it looks like there is nothing new and it's generic at most. But you will have get it : it's a subjective opinion, it's cool that people like it and i hope i'm wrong as i was before Mist of Pandaria for WoW. Sorry Moderation if i's out of subject ... if more people are not happy with Cathay maybe will we create another topics

  17. I didn't know it could be possible for people to have an argument on this. Just inform others from your envy and expectations and don't bother playing with people who doens't meet your requirements. If you end up alone and unhappy it's you who were wrong.
  18. yeah, the thing about the chaos lord on daemonic mount is that he is small, 8 wound on 4+ save and you only take him for the reroll 1 hit artefact. And people will leave him alone because he doesn't look important. The artefact is for a free reroll and every CP is important ^^. But my opinion isn't objective i just used an old metalic miniature for this sculpt and i'm loving the vintage vibe 😛
  19. Try to take the skulls now that they don't disappear at the end of any round. Even versus non magic the big maw crusha won't be able to land on them for instance 😛 I guess it's tricky but not impossible to learn how to place them correctly. The ability to neuter charge or run is worth it against all armies, even heavy range / magic one as they need to lock your units so you are not able to move freely trying to catch easy prey. And buffing the Daemon Prince survivability(amulet of destiny is a khornsend) versus BM and in melee is worth it because after the big rumble when every one is in melee you can go behind enemy line and try to kill some small heroes and that's sometimes our only way. Thronebreaker on the Bloodsecrator is nice because you will be moving with him at some point and he won't be able to stay in the Altar all the game. Daemon prince in the Altar is nice too. As you say, with two warlords i never feel naked for the hero phase CA of the daemon prince. One thing i do often lately with the two warlords is i take a chaos lord on daemonic mount and give him mark of the slayer it will be like korghos khul CA only on 12" but it's free (doesn't cost any money) and he moves 10" and have a small base. So get rid of the Karkalord to whom we can't give hew the foe and take a Juggerlord instead of Korghos and that way he is much more durable than korghos and can get hew the foe and even thronebreaker torc(well we won't be able to increase it's save though). The chaos lord on daemonic mount is able to deal a few mortal wounds too with increase numbers of attacks and can survive to mortal wounds too. Korghos is only 6 HP and will melt to quickly even with his 3+ save. It's nice to have him with 8" pile in and his special axe but he is a general so there is no reason the enemy will loose one easy point gained on him. (I'm pretty sure in the next BoK book he will be general even if not designed) That way you get the 60 points needed for the not so useless skulls
  20. Well he survived 2 FAQs ! So have fun with him. And we can even run a Bloodlords list. You make him general and give the artefact so he is a 3+ save, 9" move, fight at the start phase and is able to deal a lot of wound ^^. He can reroll hit roll versus hero to fish for 6s and if he score a hit and pass the save it's 3 damage! It can be fun but i have other things to paint sadly
