  1. Are we back to sleeping on Drycha with flaming weapon so soon after it got cleared up as legal? Giving her that and lending some flexibility to all your other casters since the spell enhancement gives everyone a spell seems more valuable to me than the artifact. Then again I'm a dummy.

Sorry if this is the wrong space to reply but - I'm beyond a layman but it really seems to me like the new edition is favoring specialized lists with lots of hero/monster characters gaining extra points on their tactics/being able to easily pick and complete a tactic every turn and a list leaning on this pretty much stomps any old style list focused on sitting on objectives when it comes to points. Have you guys found this to be the case and how do you feel about it either way?
  3. What do people think about the "double dragon" lists in 3.0? Seeing how much it matters to be a behemoth (not just the extra actions granted but the extra points scored for completing objectives with one in a lot of the missions) it looks really attractive to me. You run prince V, a VLoZD with the 5+ ward save relic, a couple units blood nights and ??? Profit??? Do you cram it into a vyrkos list, run belladama as your 3rd character for her ridiculous casting and fill with lots of chaff? Run Kastelai for battleline blood knights and go super tall with almost no chaff? How do y'all think I it'll work best or do you think it won't?
  4. Since it got out SCE have an immediate points adjustment with their tome and it's coming in July I unfortunately feel like any and all theory crafting right now is just a useless exercise for fun, things are going to be shaken up very soon.
  5. Yes exactly, you're a little unpredictable with what you poop out on your first round of summons and you have multiple giant threats so depending what goes down you can somewhat adjust. Unfortunately I realized the regents can't both summon the same turn since it's the same CA but you can do 20 ghouls, Varg, Flayers turn 1 and make a judgement call of another 20 ghouls or a second Varg or maybe in niche cases something else turn 2. I'm not invested in it but I'll hopefully test it and it seems fun and fitting for an edition all about heroes and monsters. Getting all those monstrous actions seems like it'll feel good, hopefully I can try it soon. Assuming someone doesn't post a clearly better list or make an obvious correction/upgrade to mine that I'll shamelessly copy before my first game of the new edition 😁
  6. Whipped up a quick and dirty idea to think about given the new points values and trying to lean hard into the idea of hero hammer, monster mash, the new battalions etc with 3.0s themes. It's probably terrible because I'm terrible but I wanted to see what a list like this could look like/fit and thought I'd share for fun. Gristlegore Command Entourage battalion (1 free command point, 1 free enhancement) Archregent Archregent Ghoul King on TG Ghoul King on ZD Royal TG 10 Ghouls 10 Ghouls 3 Crypt Horrors 2000 exactly. Lots of monstrous actions, lots of summons, not much worrying about the new coherency rules. Ludicrously top heavy. Some flexibility with all the summons though and I imagine it spitting out another 40 ghouls, a Varg, and 3 Flayers most games. Feel free to comment and/or mock, just spitballing.
  7. You'll be able to buy it all, you'll save if you really want both armies or if you sell half of the box but if you're on the fence and you're going to leave half of it to rot on your shelf just wait.
  8. How does this look as a first draft big waaagh list to aim at building towards? MBoMK Warchanter x2 Wardokk 10 Ardboys x2 6 Gore-gruntas 30 Arrowboys Ironfist 2000 points on the dot and I like that I can build up to it with not many purchases due to fully utilizing 2 start collecting boxes. I'm just not sure if I'm missing anything obvious as far as flaws or ways to streamline.
