Pffft nah, I’m actually pretty happy with the way the story went. I just hope that the remaining BR books live up to the standard set by this and Morathi.

This might be a tad off topic, but do y’all remember when that White Dwarf that we thought spoilt the plot for BR:Teclis came out and we were all like “urgh, it’s just like Psychic Awakening, nothing’s gonna happen and there’ll be no repercussions.”? How times have changed lmao

Teclis winning wasn’t exactly surprising imo - his name was on the front of the book, there was no way he wasn’t gonna come out on top. I don’t think Arkhan’s really dead cause GW doesn’t just go around permakilling named characters like that, and as for the Nine Books... yeah that’s a bit of an oof. But Naggy getting beat opens up some pretty interesting opportunities for Death - maybe this is where the Gravelords come in?

On the NZ website the book is up, and on the image where it shows the contents it shows that he’s one of the Dramatis Personae.

The Chamon mountains (in my mind at least) could be one of three things: -New Duardin (big if true) -Kragnos related - maybe it’s set in Chamon? -The next season of Underworlds. We’ve spent two in Ghur and if they’re following the pattern, the next season will be a different realm.

I’ve spent the past month or two hyped up about this release because of lockdown and seeing the same few people be nothing but completely sour about it literally every day is just so irritating. I don’t even play competitively- I mainly stick to the hobby and lore aspect of AoS - but the constant “waaah, NPE! waaaaah, too overpowered! waaaah!” is just tiring.

Interestingly enough, the Cursed City short story said that the Kosargi Nightguard were “Ogors in life who became Nightguard”, implying that Nightguard are a whole separate thing. New unit?

The Nurgle box mentions Invidia - which links to the Mannfred short story last week - and the Cities set is “Xintil War-magi”, which confirms that Settler’s Gain Yllurai Xhen is getting rules, which is awesome.

Not all of them I think. They look like they can be easily clipped off though, if they aren’t to your taste.

So in the preview they mentioned “loads of new units” which insinuates that this isn’t all we’ll there’ll be for Gravelords. Either way, the new stuff looks sick!

Expectations: Ossiarch Warband, reveal of SOME but not all Soulblight units, and MAYBE a tease for the Idoneth warband. Wildest hopes and dreams: Fourth BR book reveal, a tease to 3e. Also, as weird as it may seem, I want something left-field at the end, like we had with Be’lakor last time. Something unexpected but welcome.

I’m not gonna lie, when I thought of factions that are likely to get revamps Deadwalkers were not high on the list, yet here we are! There’s only so much you can do with regular Zombies, so I reckon they’ll get around 4-5 new kits - those being new zombies, new corpse cart, new dire wolves, big muscular guys (in the vein of the kosargi nightguard, if not the nightguard themselves) and MAYBE a Gorslav-esque hero. This is all pure speculation ofc but gosh dang it I did not know how much I wanted a full zombie army until now.

Yeah whilst the Curseling model might hold up quite well, the other resin Tzeentch heroes in particular desperately need new models. Here’s hoping y’all get your due at some point soon.

Awwwwww yeah, it’s that time of month again folks! From left to right it looks like we have a Soulblight of some kind, AdMech, and an Ossiarch archer.

Eh, I wouldn’t count in it. The Celestant-Prime - despite being really underpowered for what it is - is probably the closest we’ll get to seeing to Siggy Diggy on the battlefield itself. Same for Gordrakk and Gorkamorka.

Ok, this is getting slightly frustrating. If there’s delays or something that’s fair enough, but it’d be nice if they at least had the decency to give us an idea of how far things have been delayed instead of just vaguely going “hahaha sorry guys nothing new this week but we still have LOADS of cool stuff!” each week. Just a little bit more transparency would be nice.
