So I do find it rather odd that the pandemic seems to be only affecting AOS, while 40K seems to keep getting it's releases without so much as a hitch.

My issue isn't the delay. Things happen, I get it. My issue is the stealth edit and lack of communication. Those together are just beyond the pale imo. Like who are they trying to fool? Do they really think the stealth edit will work? It's insulting and basically makes THEM look stupid, trying to pretend they never said something that we all read and that several people in this very thread have proven that they said. In what way does doing this actually help? Who was the genius that said "Yeah, let's pretend we never said it would be out in August and then edit our articles to reflect that! No one will notice and if they do we can say that our articles never said August! I mean, it's not like we posted said articles on the internet where people can save them and then easily prove we are lying!" And who was the genius that said in response to that "brilliant let's run with that!" It makes them look scummy ( which it seems they are) and makes them look stupid ( which maybe they are?) It boggles the mind frankly.

Stealth editing their statement on when the tomes are getting released is scummy and insulting. Do they really think we are stupid enough to fall for that?

Nos, the thing is, if the battletome where coming out for pre order next week they would have announced them today. They didn't, as far as i can tell. Their preview of what to expect for next weekend didn't have it.

I'm sorry, but this is ridiculous. No battletome pre orders? Seriously, what is their problem? They should at least acknowledge the fact that they are going to be later than what they said, but they didn't even do that. Why are they dragging their feet so much on these battletome? Why are they being so sparse with previews?

Geez....is this battletome actually going up for pre order this month? Next weekend is the last chance for that, it seems weird that they haven't announced it by now you know?

Quick question, where does someone like Bastion stand in the pecking order in regards to both power and authority in comparison to the Celestant Prime and Yndrasta?

Well, this just pretty much confirms that Stormcast are currently exactly what GW wants them to be: terrible. If we do get a new battletome soon, it's going to be this same pillow fisted and fragile profile for our units. This pretty much confirms to me that GW wants Stormcast to suck to appease all the Stormcast haters. Our faction has more or less been sacrificed to stave off the the haters. It's total bs.

Yeah, Stormcast are in a pretty bad spot right now. Low tier for sure.

Does anyone else feel a little...i don't know...depressed or even betrayed a little by the state of stormcast currently? I mean, they in no way match the fluff, and it honestly feels sometimes like GW is purposely keeping them bad to appease stormcast haters. It just feels bad you know? I know that every army has it's ups and downs, and I know that other armies are bad too, etc. The thing is, it seems almost vindictive sometimes when it comes to stormcast. Maybe I'm imagining it though, I don't know. Sorry to ramble, and I'm honestly not trying to come off overly negative.

Stormcast. All of them. Take your pick from the battletome. They are all pretty much a disappointment.

Space Marines were trash for most of 8th edition. They only got good when their new codex came out a little less than a year ago.

I am also wondering if the stormcast hate is still as strong as it was. It really is quite sad how bad stormcast are, and if GW really is too scared of the haters to improve them....thats pretty crappy.

Has there been any inkling at all lately that Stormcast may get an overhaul? Do you guys think GW just isn't aware of the state Stormcast is in? Or do they just not care? *Puts on tinfoil hat* Is it possible they are leaving Stormcast sub par to appease the Stormcast haters?

So, what are the chances we are going to get a new battletome? Also, when do you think it might be? Have their been any leaks, rumblings, or rumors that point to one coming out, or is it just blind speculation at this point? Any indication that GW cares about how weak stormcast are at the moment?

The raptors range is now set at 24 inches in the herophase when using anvilguard ability as opposed to what it used to be because they don't count as having not moved any longer. It's right there in the errata. It's a nerf that wasn't needed. Stormcast don't need ANY nerfs at this point. They are straight trash for the most part. Gav bomb is not viable anymore, and hasn't been for awhile. Ballista spam doesn't get the job done either anymore. The one list that worked was anvilguard with raptors, and even that wasn't doing so hot anymore, although better than the rest. Now that is nerfed slightly with nothing to show for it barring dracolines dropping a bit cuz gw wants to sell battle boxes. So yeah, I'm disappointed. Stormcast got shafted. AGAIN.

As a stormcast player, I'm quite disappointed. The one viable list got nerfed, and we got 3 drops total on units that are terrible and still terrible even after the drops, barring the dracolines. It's honestly kinda crazy. Stormcast are trash currently and STILL get a bit of a nerf. It's unbelievable.

So a slight nerf to raptors to go along with only 3 units getting points drops...lol. Oh GW. You really do have it out for stormcast don't you? Also, I know that the stardrake got a points cut, but in what world is it worth 500 points with that warscroll, especially given what other units that cost around the same in other armies can do? The more I think about it, the more convinced I become that GW really is trying to just appease the loud complainers about stormcast.

Why does the anti stormcast sentiment exist though? They haven't been truly strong in a long time. It really does seem as if gw is caving, at least a bit, to anti stormcast sentiment, so it kinda sucks that people seem to be hating on them for no good reason.

It really, really just seems intentional at this point. I mean, How can they not realize how poor everything is? They themselves admitted that the sequitors and evocators nerfs were out of date right? Why would they change them back then and then in this faq leave slaanesh, of all things, the way it is? What could the reason be? Is it really just being completely out of touch with the reality of the army?

If those are the only changes...then is GW keeping stormcast kinda bad on purpose? Or do they honestly and seriously not see what the problem is? The only reason I could see for doing it on purpose would be to appease all the loud complainers that hate the fact that stormcasts exist period.
