Yeah, and incidentally it seems that this is the direction they’re taking behemoths in general.

It refers to the model having “instead of a fate point cost of 30...” so it’s very obviously referencing specifically what can be summoned on the table. Therefore, either the keyword use in guild of summoners or the lack of keyword use in the summoning table is an oversight. Needs clarification. However, I am inclined to agree that RAW, you cannot summon Kairos, as it is still the summoning table that is being referenced.

Eh, I’ve used the Thaumaturge a lot and he dies really quickly with his 5+ save and no shrug.

I believe that all weapon options are exclusive. So I’m doing Glaive on the Vulcarch, Scroll and Two Weapons models and then pending the faq I’ll just cut off the top and bottom of the daggers. Then just not mounting the shield on their back.

Is it a typo that #4 got Be’lakor in that list without using him as an ally?

This is correct, just going to add, also after the opponent has made ALL their attacks for the unit.

They don’t give fate points when they die is what I meant. Extra casts were more important then because it was far more likely for each spell to contribute topping off the fate points for blue Horrors.

You have the option of redeploying. You can just deploy normally and then opt out of it.

I’m just saying, if Endless spells are put in his list to give him something to do, his effective cost increases in the same manner as a Gaunt Summoners effective cost decreases proportionate to the value of what he summons. Let me rephrase it though, even I calculate his cost as high as 180 with Geminids; he’s still an absolute steal.

Yeah he’s pretty insane. Give him Treason of Tzeentch and he’s also debuffing additional -1. I consider him 160 though because I include Tome of Eyes in his cost since he doesn’t have a warscroll spell. Also, with pinks not giving Fate Points, having an extra cast is not as valuable as it would have been before. Still an absolute steal though.

This is really not a downside. It’s still a negative 3 wound swing you’re dealing to your opponent. Instead of your opponent removing one wound, he is giving you 2. It also adds more wounds to the threshold that your opponent has to meet to take off the Tzaangors bonus attack.

Because the units that got buffed couldn’t keep up and most of the units that got nerfed benefit from other synergies we didn’t use to have.

The warscrolls is not an example of this exception. The rest of the casting rules are prefaced by the conditions of it being a wizard. Ideally they would have chosen to use a semicolon to connect the first two sentences. An example would be the Fatesworn Warband allegiance ability from the Slaves to Darkness. Which does not involve making the unit a wizard, but does grant them the ability to cast a spell when the unit has more than 9 models.

It’s as much of a trap as anything else that isn’t Conflagration. It’s just a fun way to play with more than 1 Loc.

Yes. “Tons of things do that now” is exactly why giving them an additional passive -1 would be broken. Arcane Suggestion, Treason of Tzeentch, Locus of Change and Doomblast Dirgehorn, Geminids(forgot about that one, bringing it to a -5 to be hit) would make Enlightened impossible to hit for anything without buffs. If you make them impossible to hit, then they are now rerolling all hits and wounds without taking any losses. Combine that with Reckless Abandon and you’re giving the unit 27 extra attacks. Tzaangors got nerfed in a vacuum because the got major buffs in the Agendas.

They wanted to get rid of Fold Reality cheese and didn’t want Locus of Change to apply to them. Because old enlightened + agendas and a potential -4 to be hit would be absolutely insanely powerful.

I floored Ironjawz with a Tzaangor heavy list the other day. Max unit of Enlightened with Reckless abandon backed by a Shaman with Shield of Fate and the Dirgehorn. 20 blob of Tzaangors with Ninefold Dismantlement backed by a Fatemaster. 2x10 Kairic Acolytes Gaunt Summoner
