  1. Sicne it may be of interest here, the new bat rep shows the Stormdrake bases pretty clear. Looks like 105mm to me.
  2. We've got a clear view of the Stormdrake bases now in the bat rep. I think it's the 105mm, definitely smaller than the Chariot on the 120mm.
  3. Now do Tilea! Too bad this takes place well in the WFB past, my boy Sven Carlsson's never gonna get the love
  4. SUMMER OF SIGMAR, BABY! Between the pauldrons and tassets she looks very Thunderstrike now.
  5. So with Relictors + Arcane Tome being a thing, would they get to dispel two endless spells a turn? It says "each player can attempt to dispel 1 endless spell with each friendly wizard and each friendly priest". Could have easily wrote it "with each friendly unit that is either a wizard or priest" or something.
  6. Anyone get a clear view of the Vanguard Hunters warscroll? To me it looks like the astral compass range is 9" away from enemies now, is that right?
  7. Ah yeah makes sense now, I mixed the Castellant and Relictor together too. Weird they'd make the hounds part of the profile here, but then keep the old rule on the Knight Judicator.
  8. The foot priests have more W than a Celestant on Dracoth, whuuu?
  9. Could make for a good distraction too, run them up the flank towards backfield units and they might have to divert one of their units to charge the chariot rather than letting the chariot charge and do the MWs
  10. Are they rolling the extra dice for Tstrike AND doing it on a 5+?
  11. Ride The Winds Aetheric becoming a true teleport? Oh yes
  12. Back to the SCE article from yesterday for a moment: I really hope it means the Stormhost rules will get tweaked a little bit. +1 Bravery/resurrecting Liberators is a pretty lame bonus for a faction you're pushing to run lots of Dracoth with. Maybe time to dust off that Vandus model though...
  13. SoB can't really take any of the core battalions unless you run like one mega and a bunch of mancrushers. I don't have a problem with them getting an option or two to help them actually use the feature. I don't see why that has to mean it's all invalidated and we're jumping back to the have and have nots of warscroll battalions again.
  14. Any tips out there vs Thunderlizards? I've been throwing stuff at the wall to see what could stick but its just so tough. There's just so much damage 3 shooting (30+ shots) Thirsters can't do much cause they'll get blown away. Tried going daemon heavy for the rr1s to hit and wound (locus + Bloodlords) but after saves its still just plinking off a wound or two. They're just so efficient right now, lots of high D shooting, -1D and 1+/3+ saves make them SUPER tanky, no wasted points on battleline tax, and they score double for the battle tactics every round because everything is being done by monsters. I don't really get what we have that can counter them. I really miss my Goretide Karkadrak right about now...
  15. Just hoping we get the SCE stuff in one shot. Maybe over the course of two (or 3 if mixed with Kruleboyz) weeks, but not this drag it out for almost a year stuff they did with the 9.0 Marines stuff. I guess part of that was to have stuff to release when all the codex supplements came out, but damn did that ever kill all interest I had in my marine army. Edit: to add, aren't the ETB kits usually released a little earlier than the main multipart kit release? I definitely remember the Mairne/Necron ETB come out shortly after the post-Indom starter kits. I *think* that was the same with like the Ballista and hero and the Nighthaunt stuff.
  16. Does Archaon get access to spells beyond Bolt/Shield? I'm still wrapping my head around how all the coalition stuff works.
  17. Kindof with the 8th edition Death Guard codex. The Mephitic Blight Hauler was nowhere to be seen with the rest of the release and even a month later GW said on Facebook it didn't have a planned release yet. It ended up coming out like 4 months or so later. But that kinda seemed like there was a problem with that kit or something.
  18. You forgot #4: Beards -- they gotta have those awesome Mesopotamian beards
  19. Hmmm with the Slayer and Engineer aspects already handled, if they wanted to throw a little curveball, what about an army of dwarven constructs? Something like the Dark Iron Dwarf golems from WoW. GW likes reviving the retro stuff lately and sometimes has some 40k analogs in AoS. This would combine Grungni's work on the SCE, throw in like a little Eldar spirit stone/wraith constructs similarities, and can bring back a bit of that Squat exo suit flair. There must be a reason why we haven't seen AoS Dreadnoughts already, right? Grungni's saving that idea for all those dwarven spirits he's got stashed away.
  20. I'm hoping for that, plus something like Forbidden Power with a couple more Ghur-specific spells. Amber Spear could be a classic predatory "D3 mw on a unit it moves over + some other effect". Maybe something like one with a big fissure in the ground that can push units around (like the Alarith power). Also they'd *need* to have something like the Gnashing Jaws that goes around and eats other endless spells. A predatory endless spell that is a predator to other endless spells is the most Ghur-ish endless spell you can get!
  21. In all the Vanquishor/Judicator commotion, I don't think it was mentioned that Gardus went up another 40 points as well, while the other special characters we can see either stayed the same or dropped in points. Hoping it's because of a buff and not some weird overvaluing.
  22. I bet this is the case. It would be weird for Sequitors to become full battleline while VH remain conditional. They seem to be in the same points spot -- just a little over Libs but less than Seqs. I doub't there will be ANOTHER ranged kit -- maybe Judicators get a new kit with Thunderstrike to match the new Knight hero, maybe that would account for some of that big points hike?
