  1. I’ve veen waiting for years for some AoS elves and now I feel spoiled. The DoK feel like a small release compared to this. I do not like the sea creatures swimming in the air ‘because of magic’, bit other than that this army looks amazing. I’ll Probably get some of te ground troops and some heroes to convert into my slaaneshi elf army. The octopus Hero i’ll just get because that is such an amazing model and seems like a lot of fun to paint. He can stand next to some lothern sea guard on the shelf. Is there any indication when they’ll be available. Because I need to spend my money om some melusai first...
  2. They are awesome! The bases complement nicely with the armour colors.
  3. Nice project and really fun you all contribute to this plog to inform us of your progress. Looking forward to seeing more.
  4. @Mordeus Thanks! I like the orange too, works great with the green of the armour and the flesh tones. I hardly ever use orange so it was a nice change of color palette. @Kronos blind heads Otten help to punch up the creepiness. I also like blind faces on Tzeentch daemons. The blightking head is actually from the blightking kit. It’s one of the daemonic heads, I think his smile really fits.
  5. @Alessio @Oneyah @AthlorianStoners thans for leaving a reply, very much aprreciated. The response to my winged vampire was a bit overwhelming. I actually 'won the day' here on TGA (most liked content in one day) and on my instagram account (elfhead_warhammer) I got over 400 likes... which is a lot (for me) since I hadn reached more than 200 likes for a single picture ever before... So yeah, thanks everyone! I just posted some Nurgly pics in my other Plog and Iḿ currently working on some elves. But maybe I"ll give this flying vampire some minions in the future. I kinda feel like he earned it:)
  6. I added some more Nurgle to my collection. I had an idea and ordered some bits. Inspired by the awesome game 'The last of us' I created a Nurgly version of the clikcer and bloater. In the game humans get infected by a kind of fungus (cordyceps) that turns them into zombie-like creatures that make clicking sound as a sonar (may sound silly, is terrifying). I thouhgt fungus taking over a body fits Nurgle perfectly so I had a lot of fun with a plaguebearer, blight king and lots of green stuff. Painting these guys is very different to painting elves. the plaguebearer is really quick to paint. I love doing large flesh areas and the bloater was the first time I tried NMM copper. groupshot of my nurgly warband (including an infected dryad and AoS-ified 40k lord of blights
  7. @Sharkbelly thanks! I'm still working on the new narrative to continue this army. I think incorporating he malign portents seems like a good idea. So when I had a week off work I created this: a winged vampire build mostly with dark eldar parts. I had a lot of fun building him and waiting the bronze armor (a nice break from gold and silver) and especially the wings. such a large area of flesh was very interesting and I think the veins worked out pretty good. What do you think?
  8. @Swooper thanks. I basecoated the wing with Kislev Flesh with some kantor blue mixed in. then I layered with some thinned down kislev flesh and after that paitned on the veins with kantor blue. Then I added more layers of kislev flesh in smaller and larger patches between the veins. this way it looks like bigger and small veins appear. slowly I mixed in white with the kislev flesh to highlight. I think there was also a very tiny amount of red in the mix at some point. I've finished this model, I´ll be posting pics soon. the finish the wings I also added some stippling of red and kislev flesh and a wash of red.
  9. technically it isn wednesday anymore, but I wanted to share some work in progress and I did upload the pics on wednesday:P I decided to go back to my Cult of Slaanesh elves. The army was based around the main charachter Thalion, who tried to reach daemonhood in order to survive the end times. But I felt his story was completed. So Iḿ in the process of creating another character, opening up the possibilities for new units, conversions and a new story. I've been working on two new units of six (all units conist of six warriors, or a multitude of six. six being the sacred number of Slaanesh). They are based on the dreadspear kit from the darkelf range. One unit is a pretty regular unit with spears and shields, bu toning down the dark elf look a bit by adding more cloth and remove some spikes (for instance on the pauldrons). I think they will fit in nicely with my current army nicely. The other units is smewhat inspired by the immortals from 300. I just love the masks from the sisters of slaughters and I want to incorporate them in several new units. I'm planning on getting some of the DoK Melusai in the future, which will match nicely with these guys I think. I also converted a winged vampire. this is a shot of his wing during painting.
  10. Ha! Yeah I did... something about your profile pics is so similar, Probably the beards?
  11. @Swooper and @The Traitor I think you're right I should create a completely new character born in the Age of Sigmar. I might still be clinging to much to the old world... I think it might be more interesting to create a character that is a lower ranking follower of Thalion, working his way up. But he might find out more than he was prepared for. It could be fun to write about a character that finds out the truth about Thalion but also encountering other characters of different races and armies, enabling me to do conversions/paintjobs for the odd character from differnt ranges. At this point Iḿ thinking this new character could start a the captain of a unit of warriors, or someone charged to collect artworks from different worlds. He/she could also be a translater, who has to be in contact with all kinds of different races living in the city ruled over by Thalion...
