  1. Since you cannot add a Knight Azyros and don't have access to rerolls, It might be better to split the Prosecutors. Use them as a mobile reinforcement plaftorm (a bit of shooting here and there) as well as a highly mobile objective taking unit. Sure the others can do it too (Drakes+ Prime) but they'll usually end up being busy fighting somewhere.
  2. Easy fix. Get your GF/Wife to paint too :D.
  3. I feel you; When I see all thos beautifully painted minis i tend to think "No way i'm going to ****** up my shiny plastic men with such crappy paint job". Then I don't learn how to ... But thing is, I started the Hobby at a really strange time, that is during The End Times. I've known about Space Marines for 20 years, but could never play them because I was too busy with sports/school/work. Then when I got some more time to spend on leisures I stumbled upon WFB and immediately fell in love with the Lore and universe. But everything then was about to be destroyed, miniatures would go missing and I didn't have lots of money to spend at that time (GW products are expensive after all). So I gradually became obsessed with finding all those long gone miniaturse at cheap prices and I started stockpiling them. I think that when I'll really start to paint for the sake of learning how to paint, I'll either stick with Stormcasts and Space Marines to do so. The day I'll become good, then I'll fulfill my dream : - Having a High Elf army from every single kingdom - Same for The Empire. When i'll be a millionnaire I'll also build a massive MAcross Diorama representing a battle fought on the SDF-1 with tons of valkyries, Zentradi pods and of course human non flying robots such as the Spartan, Destroyers etc. Ok that's it, I'm nuts.
  4. For shooting attacks we only have the knight azyros sadly. I don't remember if using the "boon" for having a list wth points worth below your opponents works for shooting attacks.
  5. Come on guys. Don't be ashamed. Acknowledging is the first step toward salvation (but is there a possible salvation from Shiny plastic models ? :D)
  6. I hear you! The picture is actually taken before I rapatriated all the boxes from around my flat :D. And there are some more below my bed :D. I've got some moar WFB Empire army box, War altar, lots of troops, DArk elves, dwarves and some 40K. Damn that hobby is my ruin! But Shinyyyyyy plastic!
  7. I like that javelin prosecutors a lot model wise, but when I used them, they always failed me. I feel like you really need a way to reroll with them.
  8. Hey guys, so I was wondering, am I totally nuts ? Am I the only one to spend so much into models I don't build or when I build them I don't even paint them ? I don't really have a lot of time to do it anyway but at least I could stop buying unpainted stuff. Buying painted is a good way to have beautiful models or cheap one without the hassle to do it (I'm a loosy painter but one day I hope I'll be able to paint at a good level). But whenever I see some cheap second hands models or even boxed second hands ones, I can't resist. It's like a drug "OOOoOOhhhh Shinyyy. Ooooh cheaaaaap" And here we go again! At least, I'll have a lot of stuff to paint if I live until retirement ;D. So here is my "Pile of Shame". How big is yours ? PS : I can't paint right now even during lockdown, I have to finish writing to get into PHD.
  9. I was going to write a text wall but decided it's pointless. Bottom line people who loves the model as is : buy it and enjoy them. People who doesn't but want to convert them : do it. People who don't like them : Don't buy them. Everyone will do whatever they want to do. The Hobby is a personal matter. I like the core units and Eltharion. I hope Tyrion and the rest of the range if there is one, will be better suiting my taste that what I saw until now. Maturin out, see you around.
  10. Coming from a SCE perspective, wide range of units does not mean you're going to be playing them, from a competitive point of view ,SCE players only play a few units. Let's say those moomineth are the really competitive ones and everything else is just moooot, then you're stuck with either not playing this army even if you were really into them (I like the core archers/cavalry for ex, they fit quite well with the former HE, but you don't win a game relying on liberators) or accept to play with units that might not fit your standards of beauty.
  11. Why are you quoting me with something I didn't say ? What are you responding to ?
  12. Yeah but he was their Smith God. There has never been an iteration of elves going to war with two handed hammers .
  13. Indeed matey, but if I'm not mistaken 2 handed Flamberge long as the zweihander on the left existed too. well anyway the point is, there is something to be done with those miniatures, conversion wise, for a two handed sword :).
  14. Flamberge have a longer handle than regular two handed swords plus ypu have to take into consideration their metallic part where you could hase put your hand to grab them, between the handle and the blade. Actually perfect
