  1. Is there any reason to build the chariot with the bow? 2 shots won't do anything and it's the same warscroll so won't be cheaper. Maybe the spear at least helps to kill something so charging something else down the line is more possible...
  2. You know it isn't explicitly said that's not also coming to matched play. I'd love that. That would mitigate the "you can only play your painted minis as the subfaction they're painted as"-BS. It's my custom army you don't know what they do
  3. They're absolutely fine but you'll need the cards 😉 They are not a tier by any means but if you're not playing in a competitive setting I rather like them, sleek and the damage 2 shooting makes them stand out a bit from the 3 fighter melee warbands they usually have and the farstriders are pretty much worse But yeah I started with 3 soul wars halves and the black watch... You see I already sold some but I wanted to keep a healthy amount for the possibility of them becoming good
  4. Haha I've got 15 of the buggers and only ever painted 3 which never saw play. Really hope they get any value soon.
  5. Wasn't there a unit that was besser when taken in big units? I'm not totally sure which option my two have 🤣
  6. Does anyone have the number of current warscrolls plus Stormsire and the ones from the Dominion box to estimate how many more we'll get?
  7. Hehe 🍿... You know - I wouldn't say @PJetski is bad at arguing. And Mr. Jetski you know enough about topoi to open up a meta-discussion about this discussion. I enjoy reading it. I'm also not saying you're wrong. If your local game group accepts it, and either noone likes you or (and I believe that this second assumption is correct) the tone in your group is one of abusing (yeah mean word for that here but you yourself say you also think it will be changed and you're just having fun as long as it lasts so I don't think it is totally wrong here) poorly written rules. And that's fine as long as you have fun with it you do you and as long as your opponent and you have fun that's a nice thing I'm also tempted enough to the petty statement: I played with someone once that I invited into my house, he wanted to learn kings of war vanguard's Rules from me. Came with a list that abused all the unbalanced point costs at that time (and were changed afterwards), that he'd gotten on the internet and while my English surely isn't perfect his was pretty bad - he still argued on pretty clear cut rules since he wanted to understand them however they benefitted him. He wasn't invited another time. I heard he got better though. This is certainly a way to play, but not one I like. This is only an anecdote and not at all directed at you. It's just that we choose our opponents. Sometimes we don't know what we'll get and are irritated by that. But if your opponents know you and still want to play and you're ok with them doing the same thing: cool, have fun, at the current state there's nothing wrong without it and even if you'd implement those as house rules afterwards I wouldn't mind. I'll need some dragons btw. No flying away Kharadron ships that kill my entire army anymore
  8. I do like the Dragons now they've got riders. They mentioned dragon jousting. I have to imagine how dopey that'd look. Lance clashes armor. Like with horses. And then the wings hit each other and both plummet to their death Do you think they'll come in sets of two? In that case I do hope the Boss comes separate, splitting boxes like with dracolines and dracoths is kinda meh.
  9. yeah yeah the way I put it was an understatement, still I don't feel they mix that well on the picture. At least not better than allying anyone else in. Which is fine. They do look good mind you. The faces are cool. And maybe we'll get some more with riders
  10. Yeah. And other than Dracothion and Sigmar liking each other I don't really feel a strong sense of them belonging to the fraction. But hey that might change, I hated Stormcast until I slightly warmed up to them in 2nd Edition and now I've got quite a lot of models, so maybe I'll learn to love the Dragons after a while. The Stardrake as derpy as it is was still somewhat more unique and had more parts of Sigmarite Armour and stuff to tie them together. And the guy on it's back but that saddle is still a weird thing. Got mine used and wondered for the first few minutes what a weird conversion it was when it was the original sculpt
  11. Or they just give the rules for different weapons at the appropriate point in the manual so you know which one to take if you don't take the time to look through to the end
  12. How do you think Annihilators with big hammers will work? I posted a pic of converted on Facebook and quickly got any answer to the effect of "there will be one hammer to a unit" "there will be two" or "everyone can have hammers". I know it's all just speculation right now, but I thought with two different guys in the unit with them they'd be able to have a full unit. That would also make sense so they could differentiate the point costs based on that which I'd really welcome. I hate that "everyone costs the same but one option is strictly worse". I have prosecutors with hammers but as long as I don't want to play more than three I never see a reason to use those, since I've got a unit with spears... My progress so far:
  13. Those new boxes make sense, but couldn't they have waited for me to sell my half of Dominion before releasing the Gutrippaz plus a bit of stuff separately well I guess it's healthy for players actually wanting to play them
  14. By the way I'm glad that Libs stay at 5 minimum and all the others as well. I have odd numbers of most units. I only got 5 Libs with swords. I wouldn't have been able to play them if they really updated minimum to box size
  15. Oh well... Two devices in the queue at 9:50, both over one hour... Ordered in two German shops. No idea how many they'll have. Waylands site crashed hard, so at first I had 6 copies (as if I wanted that...) in my basket and then none and preorder over what a mess
  16. CRAZY MUSHROOMS V 2.0, via @Kickstarter If someones 3D printing and needs a Giant, a few big Spiders or now new also night Goblins. You can also get squigs that were part of the first Kickstarter. They haven't been available elsewhere yet, so might be until the next Kickstarter until they will be again. With squig herds becoming potentially better a few prints of those might be nice
  17. I'm not sure on this whole issue. If it doesn't stack I'm not too phased since yndrasta is very fast and I don't have to keep up then. But the thing that it's not called one... Neither are all of the old abilities. And strangely enough the only warscroll updates are endless spells. Ward saves are defined as abilities that negate wounds after giving them to a model. They probably did this because of the older warscrolls of other stuff. On the one hand I guess if this is a new rule that came out afterwards it would be called a ward if it is but on the other hand raw I think it is one as strange as this is.
  18. Can my opponent only ever hit me with -1 rend then? So the new stormcast at 3+ and my opponent has rend 2, he can only modify my save by one? Why would I want a -2 rend then anyways? I wouldn't give my unit +1 if I know a -2 attack is coming. Wouldn't do much good...
  19. Say, wasn't there something about the store kicking you out after 10 minutes? Or do I just imagine things? In that case 9:50 would be better than 9:30 or something for getting a box...
  20. Really? Wow. Now I'll have to discuss this with all my German friends. Better buy the English rules or noone will believe me
  21. It says they use grenades stolen from duardin. No further specification.
  22. Ist it only me or is the vexillor worded really awkwardly. I mean they could have just said "you have up to 3 d3 you can distribute between any 3 units in 12". Then heal up to d3 wounds per dice given to a unit." Something like that. It goes into detail that you can choose up to 3 units that can get one or give 1 unit two and one 1 or give one unit 3 and always tells you how many dice to roll in what case
  23. Praetors and Annihilators have exactly the same melee stats. Like the Praetors more though. Can't really imagine bigger units of them. 3 per Hero you want to protect and that's it probably. I really like their design though. Ok one other thing. People always go on about unit minimums being the same as boxes. I don't really think they'll sell those elites as boxes of 3, will they? All I can imagine is as push fit but in that case they'd really lack building options. I really like the design of the Praetors at least but having them twice would look a bit strange as heroic as they are...
  24. Ah, didn't see that rule anywhere yet but that's a shame. Oh well. Wouldn't really want other armies to have that either. I don't get why they changed it then.
  25. WAIT! "Zu Beginn deiner Bewegungsphase" - we shock down at the beginning of the movement phase and I don't see anything saying you can't move afterwards. That'd be huge! Well it seems that the -1 to hit was replaced by the mortal wounds but if I get to move after coming down that's just nice. Never failing charges again...
