  1. I am expecting: an archer Vanari/Auralan battleline a chariot, since hawk ones were squatted sphinx behemoth by itself elite units for each aspect: wind, water, earth, fire(?) - these might overlap with infantry, cavalry, and siege/behemoth/special units one hero for each aspect, mixed bag of melee/caster the hammer rumor mills look like they'd fit into Lumineth... earth aspect elites?
  2. Both SCE and NH need new books, they have fallen behind as AOS 2.0 has been fleshed out. I think DOK have an older book, but they've been doing quite well through 2.0 from what I've read., while the two armies to most likely bring new people into the game are lukewarm. Not only is that bad for repeat customers, but it's bad to advertise to new ones. I don't think anyone here wants an OP book, and I don't think we expect every single unit to be viable in any build, but I don't think it's asking too much to put what are supposed to be literal demigod soldiers at a level where they feel that way on the tabletop.
  3. idk, they make shoulderpads way too big so who's to say they didnt make the hammers smaller
  4. Yeah the list sounded nonsensical, because of how lacking its support would be. I cannot find any other claim or even a mention of a list like this, and the LVO I saw mentioned had a basic 20 block sequitor list that won not 24 longstrikes... it's probably the most bizarre list I've seen someone tell a new player to go for
  5. Today I saw a discussion on the subreddit, someone claimed there was a 24x raptor (2x12) Anvilstrike list? I have never seen any of y'all talk about having that many raptors, but they said it was in tournaments..? I can't find anything searching in the megathread but not sure how accurate searches are. @PJetski have you heard about a list like that?
  6. shootcast relies on aetherwings, which you didn't list
  7. how can we be compared to SM when our stormbois can't even melee and don't have plot armour smh
  8. I was able to get some decent variety by moving the heads as well; you have to clip the ETB sequitor heads a bit so they don't stick on the body nob, but I felt like even just having their head a different way helped prevent super clone-y look
  9. Now hold on a sec... "Behold" -> the Zoat is holding a gun Might not be one word but "With a crash of thunder and a flash of light" is clearly a reference to how coffins are ALWAYS dug up in a thunderstorm
  10. thank Sigmar then, because I'm sorely tempted to get that box over the Vanguard SC (especially with Lumineth on the way) because it looks like a good Warcry intro.
  11. If you built this in the Warscroll Builder GW has, you will know if it is a legal army on its own. Did you check the Battletome for the battalion requirements?
  12. the moon looks like obsidian or some other hard (crystal?) material. It's tied to something so we're looking at a pole not a staff. if you flip it upside down, it looks like some sort of focusing device? The first Lumineth lore talks about how powerful their wizards are so my guess is a support/siege weapon for Lumineth.
  13. Uhh anyone seen the new preorder box? Why would they do 2 longstrike and 1 hurricane We need confirmation if there's weapon options because it would suck to have these nice Warcry boxes be useless in regular AOS... https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Warcry-Stormcast-Eternals-2020
  14. Arrogance is an emotion though, unless somehow these crystals pick and choose
  15. We'll see if this fits in with lore, but if they're called Realm-Lords without having some kind of auxiliary or cross-species army... wasted potential. Not at home so these are quickly found pics, but it's definitely the feeling I get having played way too much Rome 2 and being a fan of that historical time period. Ptolemaic Egypt was a blend of those 3 cultures, and it's not a 1:1 aesthetic but it definitely seems inspired. Sphinx are best known from Egyptian and Greek mythology. Teclis' puffy pants are remniscient of Persian clothing. The helm frills on the infantry = Greek hoplite plumes: Ptolemaic Companions, as historical figs: Successor Kingdom cavalry: Also related: these Successor Kingdom Greeks (lords of...realms technically) would have been the elite soldiers of these armies. Persian, Greek, Egyptian cultures also had large focuses on knowledge and learning.
  16. From this post, it doesn't seem like The Arrogance is coming back--they pour their emotions into the aetherquartz. Interested in how their increasing aloofness fits in with Sigmar and the problems Stormcast forging has. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2020/01/27/the-lumineth-lowdown-part-1gw-homepage-post-2/
  17. Gonna post my thoughts over from Rumours since it'll get lost there: Teclis is giving off a pseudo-Egyptian theme here, Hysh art has some pyramid type monuments/buildings. Sphinx are heavily related to Egypt in pop culture. The spear troops have a Greco-aesthetic, the cavalry do as well (armor at least). I'm going to guess that the rest of the Lumineth will have a Ptolemaic Egypt aesthetic. Again, hopefully this means that the Realm-Lords will include non-aelven and/or auxiliary troops--as a reflection of how diverse the Ptolemaic Kingdom's armies were.

  19. I don't mind Lumineth as a Hysh-descriptor, my pause is with "Realm-Lords" because this implies... hierarchy? Are they protectors like Stormcast or are they rulers? With a title like that, the Lumineth should be getting auxiliary troops that aren't aelven for sure. I friggin love the troops' aesthetic, wondering if Teclis is due to the paint job bc his Sphinx is FANTASTIC. Really hoping the box comes with archers or an elite type unit since High Elves were known for archery and cavalry.
  20. dang I was so close... Lumineth! I like that for a Hysh theme. Realm-Lords seems a bit weird but perhaps this means they'll have non-aelf units as auxiliaries?!? Please GW, show us the rest
  21. 100x this... I'm ready to immediately pre-order whatever box they release if the actual troops look cool and fun to paint
  22. sounds more like tongue-in-cheek joke about how fervent people get about rumor ideas
  23. This is mentioned every so often but I'll plug it again: to prevent GW hearing too much negativity about SCE, comment on facebook (and I guess twitter if they're active there too). Not sure if store managers can relay feedback but that might be an option? Stormcast have the unfortunate effect of collecting the "posterchild" hate, which from what I can tell means that outside of competitive circles, they catch the most complaints
  24. This looks so similar to the Cypher Lords headpieces it can't NOT be Hysh aelves...
