  1. Some of the card art within the Beastgrave set showed witch aelves (of course), and I believe a couple had melusai on it in some fashion. My guess would be 3-5 model warband, no hopes for something like a bloodwrack though maybe a new Hag Queen mode/stand-in for sure with the leader.
  2. I'm really hesitant to buy any AOS novels because of how pulpy and reductive Warhammer novels can be. I had to stop reading an omnibus for some 40k war sector because by the 2nd story it was just...the same thing... and even though I've read cool Guard/Imperium stories, I found that too many of the books I was buying had the same feel and structure to them. I was heavily disappointed to see a lot of people reviewing Blind King in the same way: lukewarm Hamlet where the protag learns *nothing* and no real IDK culture background. I got Soul Wars for 1$ off humble bundle at least, so I'm hoping that's a good plot with nice characters. I do hear it's one of the better books/
  3. If anything I think the Seraphon are out of stock because of repackaging, then renewed interest. Unless GW is really going to have a huge explosion of reveals for solely AOS tabletop at Adepticon, new sculpts seem out of the question with Lumineth and Behemat being newest releases. I just want the darn DOK warband already at this point. The 2 LRL articles before Adepticon are likely to be lore over any model reveals IMO, or small rule tidbits
  4. Unfortunately I don't have the space or the money to switch from SCE, so once I buy some of the new Lumineth that's basically it for me minus small stuff like warbands... narrative/skirmish style games I'm sure are less taxing and more chill fun though so we'll see how that goes
  5. the hammer head is right above his fist isn't it?? i don't see it in your rendition you can even see the insignians above his hand of the hammer, look like fishhooks
  6. People didn't want to believe it was a hammer because "elves don't use hammers!!" but honestly I've been ready for more elves with axes and hammers, and I think they'll look dope when they're finally revealed! thank you I think the high fantasy aesthetic will do hammer elves justice for sure
  7. No, gryphons can't resurrect after they die which afaik is really the anchor of phoenixes (phoenix?)
  8. So the article didn't say that much, but I think it confirms that Auralan is for Teclis and Vanari is for Tyrion. Especially this paragraph about heraldry More models will be shown at Adepticon right? Hoping the archers will be Vanari Auralan something and we'll get to see some brother-specific units. edit: Just checked and phew I hope we see more Lumineth before March 25th...
  9. can't you use them in the skirmish mode anyway? they have tabletop stats. my only gripe with AOS skirmish is the updated rules are in a White Dwarf I can't find for a reasonable price, and no idea if they updated their ePub rules to be in line with that mag
  10. mostly disappointed they didn't show this and DOK at the same time we knew more IJ were coming, this time as brutes
  11. i hope they're not too expensive.. I like the Stormcast dice but they feel a bit overpriced so I haven't bought them
  12. @PJetski Apologies for the 2nd ping but I just remembered the errata that specifies longstrike ability doesn't activate in the hero phase. Will you/do you need to update your Anvilstrike blog to reflect how this changes playing the list?
  13. Sitting on a Vanguard SC box to trade in for a LRL preorder hoping they have some kind of combo/SC box... not a fan of shelling out for a dual box only to sell the other half. I agree that a quick article every 2 weeks is not cutting it, especially since there's not really any other AOS type news?? I've been enjoying the Tau stuff from Psychic Awakening but good gods give us some meat to the AOS news. The big news for Warcry cards got such tiny blurbs that had players asking questions as to what exactly was included in the pack
  14. this is why GW doing a gargant army makes me nervous: they have limited production, and wouldn't those sprues take more space than new units for other smaller factions? I hope we'll get a sense of how big the Lumineth release will be tomorrow (22nd) at the Toy Fair... and eyes on the final Underworld warbands.
  15. Came to check the rumors and now not only did I learn something new about human eyes but I want new, brighter paints AND I also might need extra $$ for Seraphon resculpts?? Now I can't think of anything but iridescent lizards, if that's even possible with acrylics Feb 22nd cannot come fast enough
  16. so a gyrobomber not saying you're wrong, asI personally like bolt throwers as a weapon, but I think any siege weapon Lumineth get have a chance of being an iteration of one that already exists.
  17. we'll see when the cavalry article comes out probably, I was under the impression that the spears, bows, and cav were all Auralan
  18. it really doesn't make sense that they aren't battleline with a lord arcanum
  19. where is that Zenith Warden art from? not seeing anything on community site? also dang, didn't mean to start spear discourse 😅 I highly doubt they will be one-use weapons as they are constantly mentioned as a Phalanx Unit. But it will be interesting to see how the two weapon profiles differ in both statline and usage.
  20. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2020/02/12/warband-focus-the-new-warbandsgw-homepage-post-3/ so Castigators might be useful somewhere now?? I'm hoping their Warcry card is worth the points...
  21. So, combat phase buff like Sequitors + possibly decentralized CP like OBR? Where the unit leader can further buff a unit with their own command. I'm sure there will be differing mages to reflect the Lumineth aspects, but I'm wondering if this sentence means the special/elite units are going to be Tyrionic or Teclian specifically, or if each brother also handles different aspects (i.e earth/fire for Tyrion and water/air for Teclis) Spear attacks on turn they're charged/they charge, then sword otherwise? Or perhaps a secondary unit rule? So any rumors that don't look like Eldar runes or Old World Elf runes are Lumineth, and we can expect the book to have a new alphabet for transcribing this new language!
  22. this is why I quickly got over the End Times being written poorly, once I actually gave AOS a chance. SO much more to be done. The Old World looks like it will be an earlier imperial year than what Total Warhammer and 8th ed are, but it still leave little room for anything new.
