  1. Chamon and Ulgu still need exploring, though parts of KO are sort of showing Chamon, or at least it's skies. And Ulgu will probably be shown whenever Malarion allows it.
  2. I want to second the idea of fleshing out Hysh. Aqshy, Ghyran, and Ghur seem to have gotten most of the love. This would be a great spot to start branching out and discovering new ground for the Mortal Realms. I wish they had delayed the new campaign book just a bit so we could have this faction included in it.
  3. What kinds of weird units do you want to see? What is something that's really far out there that would make the new army really clutch for you? I'd like to see some sort of Light Elemental, something that could shift between crystalline and ethereal forms.
  4. Alith Anar is the man! Tyrion is my favorite high elf, but Gav Thorpe made Alith into my second favorite! Now I have to go reread the Sundering trilogy.
  5. See, I think this faction, while having an AOS spin on things, will be much more of remembrance one. I forget where it was mentioned, but it was said that Teclis has survivor's guilt, and wants to save the souls of his actual kin, and recreate their golden age. I think we'll see new names and slight changes, but I think quite a bit of this faction will be recognizable from their starting point in Ulthuan. I also think this part of where the narrative tension for the faction will come in, in addition to whatever flaws Teclis missed. That whole "character out time" trope, but writ large across an entire faction will be very interesting I think.
  6. My bad fanfic tends to be a result of hilarious hijinx that happens during games. Like my High Elf Archers Champion who consistently failed his to hit rolls for years, earning the name Hawkeye. We discovered it was because the model behind Hawkeye I had accidently painted with eyes going in opposite directions. Basically he tried to "help" Hawkeye all the time, with incredibly poor results.
  7. @Tiger That's interesting. With what they've been saying about Teclis trying to recreate the past, do you think the factions will be based on old Ulthuan, or the new cultures that have sprung up on Hysh since AOS?
  8. I think I'm going to also have to wait for the various sub-factions to see what I like there. I never thought I'd paint underwater fish aelves red, but I liked the backround and rules for the Fuethian Enclave for the Idoneth that I now have red and blue Deepkin.
  9. I've been looking at that myself. I've been thinking cooler blues and yellows to give army a luminous kind of look. Of course, I could also see doing reds and yellows for a prisimatic effect.
  10. I'd like to see the return of the Lion Rangers. I love my Lion Chariot, and would like something similar (dare I hope better?). Maybe even winged lion mounts if we have to have flying cavalry.
  11. Ha ha ha trying to! I have a Pointy Aelves pot. I have already told my wife not to get me any physical presents for the rest of the year, but to instead put money into the pot!
  12. I still think it would be cool to get a dual kit that could make either him or Tyrion, much like there are two Eidolons for the Idoneth. I'm hoping that they would be the centerpiece model for the new army.
  13. Heh I remember those days! I actually wish that was my problems these days. My daughter is good now, but my son keeps trying to taste-test my models.
  14. I'm trying to finish at least 1k of my Idoneth army before they come out. My better half has been getting on me to actually paint my way through my backlog of miniatures.
  15. Sure, no prob. Are you gonna buy both sets of miniatures for me?
  16. I'm sorry that all you seem to see is the worst possible out come for the game with everything that the designers post. Since GW seems to be out to offend you personally, have you ever thought of looking up different tabletop games? I can not imagine wanting to spend time on something that upset me as much as AOS seems to upset you.
  17. @Overread I hope so too! She's already "helped" me in painting some old Savage Orks (Orruks now I guess). This is the first one we've gotten specifically for her.
  18. I think it might be a better idea to save the Seraphon till after the Pointy Aelves. That way they can get a proper focus instead of a slapdash update. Maybe whatever lore they provide in the upcoming Wrath of the Everchosen will give us an idea.
  19. The Twins trilogy by William King is awesome. Teclis also makes an appearance in Giantslayer, which os one of the Gotrek novels. @Tiberius501 I don't know that that's been released yet. Tried to do some digging, but with out having even the faction's official name yet, it's a little tough to find.
  20. Everyone has some great points. I just want to toss a couple final thoughts into the mix, especially since this is mostly wishlisting as we really know nothing other than Teclis is bringing new aelves. From both a gameplay and a lore perspective, I'm not sure it makes sense to split the Twins into two seperate armies. Lore wise the two have always completed each other and filled in the gaps that the other lacks. Even the small tidbits we've been shown so far is AOS shows this to be true, turned up to 11. Gameplay-wise, what would you do with another aelf army that hasn't already been done? Especially with their push into AOS 2.0, the designers have shown that they really want to give each army it's own character. I think there would be way too much overlap between the Twins' two forces to make them seperate factions. Maybe we won't get Tyrion in the first round of releases, but as this is a completely new army, I'm sure they want to leave themselves design space to grow the faction.
  21. I could see Tyrion still being part of this faction, even if he isn't released now. Maybe as a second wave latter on. He does have a slight tendancy to come riding to the rescue after Teclis gets in over his head.
  22. I wouldn't mind Tyrion getting his own faction, but honestly, I disagree with you. One, the Twins have always been bound very closely, with Teclis nowdays functioning as Tyrion's eyes. Also, while I personally would love yet another aelf faction, I doubt the majority of players would. There's been a lot of jokes about Grand Alliance Aelves because people already feel like there are a ton of aelf factions. If the split were to happen the way you say, plus Malarion's eventual Shadow Aelves, that would put us up to 6 aelf factions, 7 if you count CoS. That's more aelf armies than Destruction and Death combined. Also, Whitefang mentioned something about them being in the same faction, and he tends to have his finger on the pulse of what's going on.
  23. Ha ha ha this is now the best thread on this site! We have officially turned the Pointy Aelves into Jedi Thundercats!
  24. @Harioch heh, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that a scion of Melnibone would welcome Nagash back.
  25. I don't remember the exact title because I'm not a huge Stephen King buff, but Red Rose was a pretty awesome series. It's the one where the House itself is the supernatural entity. In more hobby related news, took my daughter to our LGS where she picked out her first mini, a Tomb Banshee. Pretty excited to paint it together.
