  1. Destruction is destruction to me. Like the old days of mixed Greenskins, I'll take anything.
  2. Not official GW stuff, but they did a focus on an army that has a toned down look, including some dwarves that I think would fit in with the new Cities aesthetic we've seen so far. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2022/12/13/meet-amberfall-the-grim-n-gritty-city-of-sigmar/ Some suitable conversions like shaving the patterns of the shield and a dark scheme work really well.
  3. This might be a silly question, but will the Witch Hunter stuff be included in the new Cites/Dawnbringer books/lore? Galen and Doralia ven Denst, Hexbane's Hunters and Jelsen Darrock I was thinking of starting with some of those to get practice in painting humans again ahead of the main release.
  4. We are still waiting for this awesome BB mini to be released as well https://www.warhammer-community.com/2023/05/08/gore-the-gridiron-in-blood-bowl-with-the-great-black-bull/
  5. There were some 3d sculpts floating around a while back that were basically mini maw krushas ridden by brutes, to be used as Gore-Grunta proxies. I haven't been able to find them since, but it's a concept that worked for sure.
  6. They've already previewed the Maw Grunta, which sort of works as the wacky brutish chariot type unit: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2023/04/30/move-over-gore-gruntas-the-maw-grunta-is-a-humongous-hog-whos-here-to-slay/ The preview shows I think mentioned there might be other Orruk units as well, but I don't think they specified which flavour.
  7. It's not what I was expecting, personally it's a bit too whacky for my taste. But if we got a unit of ogre breachers without the crows nest gun emplacements, I'll find it hard to resist at least a small Cities force.
  8. While I'd prefer the Harbringer was released on his own, this isn't a bad box as the other sculpts are cool and can be assembled in such a way to not be copies if you have those units already.
  9. The Island of Blood sculpts still hold up IMO, but they're not easy to get hold of now. I got one, that I used alongside Kreek from Forgeworld The Stormfiends are a bit too OTT for my taste, so something between the IoB and them would be ideal.
  10. To mis-quote a proverb: "The squeaky rat gets the cheese"
  11. Some of the BB minis can be hit or miss, but when they hit they really hit. I'm waiting for the previewed Minotaur to be up for order and then I was going to him and a couple others, stick a weapon in one hand and add them to my AoS collection.
  12. Nice one! They're so useful for getting a better look
  13. Has anyone else noticed that the new releases, Seraphon and this weeks Underworlds stuff no longer has 360 degree previews on the GW site?
  14. Is that a bundle of herbs to take away the smell of the rotting head?
  15. Both the paint job and the sculpts are making me think more of the more grounded A Song of Ice & Fire minis than the AoS 1.0 era super fantastical troops and if I'm honest, I'm down for that.
  16. Very tempted to pick that up for those two "Graboids" to use as something alongside my Orruks from Ghur. Fangathrak is from Ghur after all.
  17. I think this is what GW have been doing recently with their "Battle ready" painting tutorials, they show a quicker, less complicated way to paint a mini quickly. Same with the contrast method, it's often shown as a way to paint things quickly.
  18. From left to right HH terminator fella. Something Tomb Kings Plastic Cerastus Knight
  19. This alternative build looks brutal! Even more hyped than after the first version they showed.
  20. I was just thinking this. I guess it's like the difference between the original 1st ed Stormcast and how much better they've gotten with the most recent kits. Ironjaws were a 1st edition release and so the technology and sculpting has come on a lot since then.
  21. The stream said the Maw-Grunta was going to be part of a destruction heavy 2nd book, with other units along with it. The 1st book gets 4 new harbringer sculpts, once for each grand alliance. They also mentioned the Maw-Grunta gets multiple options including a character (he did say characters, so could be 3 builds), the one previewed looks like a generic monster/chariot type.
  22. I'm happy enough with that. As Ironjawz player, I get a much needed new multi-part kit, as well as a way to add a cute new gobbo and some squig friends as a regiment of renown to my force. Plus the Harbringer of Decay is so nice, I'll need to dig out my unfinished Maggotkin. Fyreslayer and Flesheater are both nice sculpts, just not for my factions. City of Sigmar preview, I'm unsure on, they seem a bit busy like the previous infantry we saw. They don't look like they'd be quick to paint well for such basic troop types.
  23. The stream said this kit will have options to be built as a character as well. So it could well be the Megaboss on boar we've all been wishing for.
  24. Oh damn, that Maw-grunta is something I didn't know I wanted until right this minute.
