  1. So I'm messing around with lists and think I came up with something new I want to try but I'm not sure if I want to go with Fellwaters or Rockguts: Fellwaters would have a nice -2 to hit them in melee if I can get them in near my A-rok and could put out more damage than Rockguts. Rockguts, on the other hand, have a bit more survivability and I think they offer a bit more flexibility in how they're used compared to Fellwaters. A list with the Rockguts comes out to 1980 while the Fellwaters comes out to 2000 on the nose.
  2. New army points aren't usually included in the GHB. Seems kinda suspect that yours would have the army's points in it (wrong points or otherwise)...
  3. It's tough say. What lists are your opponents bringing? Your list might be "just for fun" but it looks like it has good synergy with all the Squig units and extra CP generation with the Fungoid. If your friends are just bringing whatever they feel like with little to no synergy you'll have much bigger chance of winning.
  4. A little late on this one but why not all three? I personally use different color details to make my squads more easily discernible on the board.
  5. I dunno...they said these three models came in one kit. I don't believe that's the entire army. I see it more than likely that we get 3 -5 kits plus the current Aleguzzler kit.

  8. What? The Pitched Battle profile pretty clearly says "Battleline in Ironjawz or Big Waaagh! army if unit has 10 or models." What is ambiguous about that? It's most likely an error on WSB's part as the book and Azyr don't recognize units of 5 as Battleline for either army.
  9. Sadly, Ardboys are only Battleline is taken in squads of 10 or bigger.
  10. Looks like the Warscroll card was updated in the AoS app today. So back to the rules from the BT for the Webspinner on A-Rok!
  11. @GlitzFan - cheap extra spell caster that can get you access to an additional Spiderfang Lore. He has a 5+ invuln save and in the Stalktribe battalion he provides what is essentially a free Mystical Shield to all Spiderfang Units wholly within 24"(?) inches of him.
  12. I thought about 3 units of 10, but I think 2 units of 5 and 2 units of 10 gives you a bit more flexibility. If you're not taking the cauldron and the other Shaman on foot what would you take instead? Another unit of 5 Spider Riders and maybe a 20 point Endless Spell? I would imagine the extra Shaman would be better since it gives you the extra bubble of re-rolling 1s for saves with the Stalktribe.
  13. I believe the quote was that the faction in general was under-performing.
  14. @GlitzFan Like I said above, if you go by RAW, the bonus stacks. So you're good to go with 3.
  15. I could honestly go either way for it. Depends on if you're a RAW or RAI type person. I fully believe the intent is that the BT version of the rule is what should be there. However, this different warscroll has been in Azyr since at least April and was re-published in June with the updated date, so we can't know for sure. I would imagine if this were brought up in a tournament, a judge would rule that you need to go with the RAW (FAQ says to go with Azyr version, not the BT version). Hopefully they'll clarify it eventually.
  16. New point changes actually have me really excited! I doubt it, but I'm wondering if a 1-drop Stalktribe might actually be viable now: Leaders: Scuttleboss (General) Webspinner Shaman on A-rok Webspinner Shaman Webspinner Shaman Battleline: 2x 10-man Spider Riders 2x 5-man Spider Riders Behemoths: A-rok w/ Warparty A-rok w/ Warparty Battalions: Arachnarok Spider Cluster Spider Rider Skitterswarm Spiderfang Stalktribe Endless Spells: Scuttletide Scrapskuttle's Arachnacauldren
  17. It effects any Spiderfang unit with Spider Venom wholly within 12" of the bearer, this includes the bearer. Keep in mind though, If you take The Black Spear with your Scuttleboss, the Totem does not effect The Black Spear's abilities.
  18. Actually just saw a discussion on Facebook about this. The bonus does stack now! Per the Core Rule FAQ (page 1) Q: If I have two different warscrolls for the same unit, can I choose which to use, or must I use the most recently published version? Do I have to use any errata that applies to the warscroll? A: You must use the most recently published warscroll and errata that you or your opponent have available. Warscrolls with a date of publication are always considered to have been published more recently than a warscroll that doesn’t have one. If you have two warscrolls for a unit and neither has a date of publication, you can choose which warscroll to use. The Webspinner Shaman on Arachnarok Spider warscroll was updated through Azyr to read: Catchweb Spidershrine Add 1 to casting and unbinding rolls for friendly Spiderfang Wizards while they are within 12" of this model. The Last Update field for the Warscroll reads as June 2019, making it the most recently published warscroll. HOWEVER it no longer lists the ability of granting +2 to Bravery for Spiderfang units if it's the general.
  19. I disagree, I think the Webspinner Arachnrok should come down about 20 points. While yes, it can cast two spells, it has no kind of save against Mortal Wounds and pales in attack comparison to other Monsters. I think it should sit closer to 280 or even 275.
  20. Alright Gitz, I have a tournament coming up Sunday and here are the three lists I'm thinking of running. Any suggestions on one over the other? List 1: List 2: List 3: Any thoughts or suggestions?
  21. I've stacking minus to hit for my army, making sure I've got Netters, a squad of Fellwaters, Sneaky Distraction and an artifact that subtracts from hit. I've also been experimenting with the Prismatic Palacade. It's great that they go first, but if you've got a Netter and an Arachnarok Shaman with Sneaky Distraction, have fun with that -2 to hit.
  22. Saw a few postings in a FB group today about banners and drums in Spider Rider units. One poster said that you can only have a Totem Bearer and a Drummer if you have 10 models in the unit. The other poster said that the way rule reads "1 in every 10 models in this unit can be a Bone Drummer." and "1 in every 10 models in this unit can be a Spider Totem Bearer." means that if you have 10 or less models in the unit, you can have 1 Totem Barer and 1 Bone Drummer; if you have 11 - 20 models, you can have two of each, if you have 21 - 30, you can have 3, etc. Both were right that the FAQ doesn't address this at all. Is there an official ruling on interpreting that rule?
  23. Spiderfang question (maybe this should be in the Spiderfang thread?): Saw a few postings in a FB group today about banners and drums in Spider Rider units. 24. So I've got a 2k tournament coming up this weekend. I think this is the list I'm going to run, but I don't really play Moonclan so I don't know which artifact to take for my Loonboss or Mapcap Shaman. Thoughts on an artifact and the list? Grotz.pdf
