  1. Hmm. This wounds quite worrying. How are FEC that op? I see lots of complaints about gristlegore, but it still hinges on 2 mounted kings who can deal a lot of damage, but they don’t seem able to take it very well. On the other hand, Legions of Nagash and DoK still seem to dominate the top tables And I found it a little strange that people cried that feeding frenzy was op yadda yadda when most FEC units aren’t that broken in the first place... im a little salty that fellwater Troggoths have a ridiculous damage output compared to horrrors while being same points cost... I’ve seen fellwaters completely destroy whatever they touch... i’m probably Not gonna handicap myself when I play with my brother, he always likes to challenge himself against difficult lists
  2. To be fair, MSU bloodcrushers and Skullcrushers could still work, since their current MW output is still a lot better than AOS 1.0, a unit of 3 juggerknights has a good chance of dealing 2-3 MWs unlike last time where u had a 50% chance of doing d3. I feel that although in huge units their charge will deal massive damage, it’ll be hard to get every single jugger into 1 inch range due to terrain, and buffing them will be a nightmare due to Base footprint so MSU units might actually still have a place, especially for Juggernaut Battalions that want so many blood/Skullcrushers, sure those MSU units aren’t going to annihilate everything they touch, but they’re a good roadblock that deals decent damage, irritatingly tanky and still deal far more damage than back in aos1.0
  3. Bloodmad warband does look good! both heroes inside are heroes you’d likely want , and extra attack on charge will help Skullreapers as well. I find that Slaughterborn is manageable thanks to our exalted Deathbringer(w/ spear) being decent, though Skullreapers are ex, I think they can be worth, and they have good saves to tank decently (unlike say Wrathmongers) Same:P, literally building n painting reapers right now and I love them. I do think that Khorgoraths in skullfiend tribe r still very strong, full rerolls looks really strong, and Skullreapers hav so many attacks to make very good use of the skulltake bonus. And remember, the Bloodreavers and blood Warriors can serve as useful screens for the reapers(and the bonus applies to them too!) im still gonna try my best to make my Skullreapers work...
  4. So what are your guys thoughts on the new Battalions (From GMG’s review)? Personally, I really like the Charnel Host, I still like Murderhost, and Tyrants of Blood, even gorethunder cohort looks pretty good. Tbh, the whole skull Cannon battery is pretty fluffy for Khorne to shoot at cowardly wizards or enemies hiding behind their walls😄 for mortals, I honestly think all of them seem pretty good except the mega battalion and red headsmen wbat do u guys think? And with the changes to Slaughterpriests, is it best to run with 2 of them?
  5. To be seriously honest, that sounds really cool too You’re definitely right (I’m still really new to aos in general, mostly been a 40K Khorne, so I’ve had to live with my old Abaddon model for a longgggg time) As far as Ironjawz are concerned, I agree with you that they have a solid model range (albeit limited) compared to the likes of, say, FEC or Fyreslayers, with Fyreslayers having an especially serious problem. Overall, we’d have to see Adepticon. We all wish for our own favorite factions to be updated, but unfortunately rumors are scarce these days, we’ll have to wait and see, at the very least we won’t have to wait too long now to see what’s next for AOS
  6. THANKS SO MUCH!! I feel really honored to be here along with my fellow regents! Need to eat something to celebrate (oops... Might have eaten my brother’s foot) to be REALLY honest, I don’t mind playing gristlegore occasionally, I’m actually got some fluff for my archregeent, and I want to try a multi-personality archregent, so basically he’s insane in that he suffers from several delusions, so I was considering just randomly picking a Grand Court/Court delusion to represent his constantly changing madness! If I do pick Gristlegore, my brother says he doesn’t mind if I do try the Gruesome Bite Terrorgheist combo because he says he’ll just adapt to fight it as best as he can (he’s a veteran from 40K), he just asks me to warn him when I do play hardcore of course, I want to play narrative as much as I can:P, and I’m a HUGE fan of the lore for flesh eaters (literally never seen in any other fantasy genre actually) So if I do focus on Horrors and Flayers, along with an appetizer (heh) of monsters, that would mean I’d be able to play gristlegore, Hollowmourne and blisterskin right? If I focus on those courts and not morgaunt, how many ghouls should I grab them? I’m a bit uncertain about the optimum unit sizes for ghouls overall, glory to Ushoran!!
  7. True. Here’s to hoping for an ale guzzler gargant boss and a gargantherd!!! Beastclaws do seriously need a new battletome if they don’t get merged with Gutbusters, though. They suffer similar problems to Kharadrons and Fyreslayers, cool concept, but poor execution. Everwinter’s blessings seems pretty random, lots of resin kits, no magic at all, and lots of angry faces about thundertusk snowballs and equally angry faces about stonehorn stoneskin nerf
  8. Yeah, I saw that, I was confused initially since fanatics are obviously still Grots, same with bounderz, I found it really strange, though i do feel it seemed really restrictive Ironjawz honestly are THE main Destruction faction. Gordrakk is made out to be the Green jesus (Thrall reference btw), with (almost) everyone flocking to him to get da “honor” of fighting at his side. I think it’s reasonable to expect ironjawz would get more than just one extra model, endless Spells and scenery (less FEC, Skaven, possibly Gloomspite or Khorne scale release? ) On the other hand, I’m actually terrified about ogors getting FEC treatment, especially with so much resin kits... i guess we’ll have to wait until adepticon, because this week looks like Chaos space Marines focus, which might actually finish before adepticon, setting the stage for more AOS stuff
  9. Hey everyone! Khorne player here considering jumping into Beasts of Chaos, also some news: Bloodstoker can only affect Mortal Khorne stuff, so just be careful! im just curious about the playstyle: is anyone able to just summarize a quick idea of the theme, personality and playstyle of the army? I don’t mind playing competitively, just not aiming to utterly crush my opponents in every game, I’m more into the narrative ! also, I normally buy stuff from amazon, but I can’t find dragon ogors, razorgors or Bullgors anywhere, so I wanted to ask, how did u guys get yours? Was it from GW online, or from your respective stores? I’m still pretty green here in tga:P thanks in advance! Also, I did notice that most of the new battletomes cant one-drop: Blades of Khorne can’t, Skaven have a hard time doing it, flesh Eaters can’t, only Gloomspite Gitz can and even then it’s usually more than 1 drop. Maybe GW is trying to move away from 1 drop armies?
  10. I honestly think Wrathmongers will be used as proper hammers now, and their range makes it viable to run them behind a blood warrior screen (with gorefists to make it extra painful) what are everyone’s thoughts on the new Skullgrinder? He seems to be a cheap super brutal beatstick, and that extra bravery is surprisingly good now that we no longer ignore an entire battleshock phase Would it work to use the Bloodsworn Command trait with a Juggerlord, give blood Warriors or bloodreavers bravery 9, then add 2 (1 from icon, 1 from Skullgrinder?), I feel like that would make them pretty hardy against battleshock(or terrorgheists, for that matter)
  11. Hey everyone! New player, also a Khorne player, but my brother is a Skaven player looking to grab Carrion empire to expand his rat bois. I’ve always loved mordants (was a huge ushoran fan back in fantasy), so I’ve got a few questions: How nice are the battleplans in the Carrion Empire box itself? Is 4 Start collecting boxes a good idea to expand the flesh eaters side? I’m looking to play 2x6 Horrors a lot (I love them), so if I focus on Horrors, how many Flayers should I bring to complement them? Finally, how good are Morgaunt and Blisterskin? I saw some consensus earlier that hollowmourne is surprisingly good (yay), but I would like to refrain from using gristlegore a lot (my group plays relatively casually, plus I’m not a fan of the gristlegore lore, I prefer the other court’s) thanks in advance guys!! Really hope to join the court!
  12. This is true! I feel that Wrathmongers can serve as a second line to hit over your blood warrior screens, so when enemies actually charge your blood Warriors, they will accidentally pull the Wrathmongers into the fight. Plus, Wrathmongers can help take on armored units while blood warriors protect them. skullreapers and Skullcrushers blobs can Guard the flanks too. Skullreaper MSU looks good because that vicious mutation looks really good when stacked with attacks, and give rerolls to wound, while Skullcrushers/Bloodcrushers look great in large blobs to be a very strong hammer unit. Bloodreavers in Goretide could be a really good hammer, as the Command ability (Ever Onwards) massively increases their threat range, and might catch some opponents off guard. It’ll be great forcing your opponent to have to really keep some space between his guys and yours, allowing you to contest objective while threatening him with long bomb charges
  13. I feel that Blood Warriors are a very special kind of anvil, it seems like they aren’t damagey enough (look like 40K Khorne Berserkers, hit nothing like them), however they’re not that durable, liberators can get 3+ Rerolling 1s However, I think we should focus on what makes Blood Warriors different from other factions battleline choices. not many factions can bounce MWs, especially on basic battleline. It’s the reason why I feel it’s better than dual goreaxes, which still depend on your hit roll, wound roll and enemy’s save roll. However, it’s not bad. then No respite. This is an interesting rule because it makes your blood Warriors very receptive to buffs. I’ve always loved this unit because I feel that they embody Khorne in a unique way, being defensive in their own strange, aggressive, adorably gory way. They won’t tank hits that would kill Sequitors (tbh no one can), they’re not gonna completely butcher your enemies. Maybe see them as a retaliatory unit? One which WILL definitely die, but on the way down will take as many enemies with them as possible. Even better if you piled in and attacked with them first, you’re Getting 2 effective pile in and fights with them now. It’s sad that the goreglaive is weaker, but piling in and attacking twice with it could make up for that. They’re slow, so they rarely get the first charge. But whoever does charge them, is in for some pain when they kill the blood Warriors. This does (imho) make them a great screen. Unlike chaos cultists in 40K, who fold REALLY easily while doing little else, Blood Warriors get to hit you back. Sure, Bloodreavers are a lot cheapeR, but they are just gonna die, and that’s it. No hitting back, nothing. It’s easy blood Tithe for you, but it gives the opponent an easier time to smash through your screens and get to your Hammer units. Things like Morsarr Guard will certainly obliterate that blood warrior unit, but that unit might just take down 1 or 2 eels when they die. Stuff like charging bestigors and grimghast reapers will hate the gorefists, since they are squishy 1 wound models, so blood warriors can do a serious number on them. TLDR: try using blooD warriors with gorefists, as a screen that boldly charges the enemy, and expect them not to kill much, but to give their lives in glorious sacrifice to the Blood God, while dragging as many enemies down to his realm as possible in a blaze of glory;D
  14. 😓seems like Gw is really gambling with... Skullreapers, Bloodletters, Bloodcrushers, Wrathmongers (4+ to deal a MW), and quite a lot of different units have that, but at least it means Slaanesh can’t rebuff our hit rolls to oblivion I feel that gorefists are best, that chance to deal mortal wounds is not bad, especially because of how it’s unmodified so your enemy can only bypass via shooting or mortal wounds. Plus, you have so many ways to re-roll hit rolls, and there aren’t many battleline that can bounce MWs back. Besides I’d rather take MWs over a tiny chance to do extra damage with no rend. That 4+ wound roll seems quite difficult to get pass... Meh Bestigors seem pretty insane, especially compared to Bloodletters....... how can a goatman with an axe do more damage reliably than a big daemon with a massive anime sword just because there’s more than 10 enemies:/
  15. Yep, Fyreslayers and Ironjawz suffer from that problem, to be really honest. Especially Fyreslayers, it seems super rare to find any Fyreslayers players dedicated enough to buying and painting over 100 naked dwarves on the other hand, I wonder if the gutbusters battletome, it it does come out, would GW pull a Gloomspite Gitz and ally gutbusters, Beastclaw Raiders AND aleguzzlers? That’d Be pretty cool.
  16. Actually they might just update all the Chaos battletome (Tzeentch and Nurgle). I noticed that the Blades of Khorne mortal guys like Skullcrushers and Juggerlord still don’t have the daemon keyword, and right now there is Tzaangor Skyfires/Enlightened blobs run with that spell that can either bring them back or destroy them, harbinger of decay with witherstave, or Nurgle/Tzeentch heroes using daemon Command traits and lords of affliction activating plague drone locus. So I feel that GW is likely to remove daemon keywords from the technically “mortal” units
  17. There was that coin rumor engine, also the AOS currency article on Warhammer community, which explicitly mentioned Fyreslayers rather than kharadrons
  18. Hm... so where did the whole Gutbusters rumor start then? Seems a little out of the blue and yeah... the Malign Portents thing was kinda confusing tbh... For Blades of Khorne, their old AOS 1.0 battletome has a LOT ago issues, a super long errata they hinged on a LOT of rules, like bloodletter bomb, prayer stacking and all that so I feel that’s why they were one of the first to get a new battletome, so I suspect Kharadrons should get one really soon, because I thought it was generally admitted that the Overlords book was rushed?
  19. I do feel that the Daemon Battalions seem relatively underwhelming, only stuff like Tyrants of Blood,c Murderhost and Charnel hosts seems decent (even then Murderhost was nerfed) i do think that the Mortal Khorne Battalions are all pretty great, all of them seem to have pretty strong and ubiquitous benefits. We might actually see 2000pts lists with 2 Battalions, since points costs were reduced, and I’ve seen Gloomspite Gitz lists doing that
  20. Thanks so much!! I’ve always loved Khorne in general (never really liked stormcasts:P), it’s nice to be here!
  21. Yep my bad, I did watch it but got mixed up, sorry if I aided any confusion!
  22. Man this kinda scares me... I really do want to pull out my (recently painted) models, but I'm worried about getting crushed... @Bjornasapparently u roll a dice at end of player turn (I think), on 1-4, it disappears, if theres a slaughterpriest within 8 inches, add 1 to the roll
  23. Just watched GMG Seems somewhat similar to before 1 - Bloody Exemplar - Trade 1 blood tithe for 1 command point 2 - Spelleater Curse - mostly the same 3 - Murderlust - Free move, or charge attempt if within 12" 4 - Apoplectic Frenzy - Free pile in and attack for one unit 5 - Brass Skull Meteor - One enemy unit suffer D3 mortals, then all enemies within 8 inches roll dice, 3+ suffer 1 MW, 6 suffer D3 MW 6 - Relentless Fury - Everyone gets Blood Warriors no respite 7 - Crimson Rain - once per battle, permanent, every subsequent hero phase, all KHORNE models heal D3 wounds 8 - Slaughter Triumphant - shown on Warhammer community
  24. So for this stuff, can these buffs that aren't command trait/artifact affect mounts/companions (Like juggernauts, flesh hounds, etc.)?
