  3. No it isn’t. The commentary is clear, the actual rule is not. This says nothing about battleshock purposes.

  5. Bro I’m with you. This it an emotional time. The core rules say you only continue to allocate wounds to a unit once a model is slain. Horrors warscroll says a model is removed but does not count as slain. 🤷‍♂️🙃
  6. It’s duuuuuuumb Abilities that negate damage before the wound is allocated is a ward. However this only applies to new (3.0) wards. Old (2.0) damage prevention stuff applies when you allocate wounds, AFTER the ward wording. They clearly forgot how old damage prevention works or that they haven’t updated all old damage prevention to the new ward wording.
  7. Tauralon stocks are pretty high right now. 5++ with amulet, 6++ as a Hammers general, 6++ steel pinions. On top of the inherent 3+ save that he can self buff twice and still have a cast left over for arcane bolt. And scores extra tactic VPs for being a monster.

  9. You are obviously right and I don’t want to get sucked in to RAW vs RAI but the point is the rules are the rules and if we can’t agree on what’s written then where do we draw the line? The fact that GW have again rewritten horrors and still managed to mess it up ought to be sufficient that this warscroll is just beyond them. Archaon has a specific exclusion to join any Chaos army:
  10. They almost did. Because when you kill a horror it doesn’t count as slain. Therefore, you can’t continue to allocate wounds to the unit. Look GW how many goes do you need to make horrors work? Just bin them and be done with it.

  13. Core book faq is out in German. Main items that apply to SCE: * bodyguard has been ruled as a ward ability (called that one completely wrong) * units of monsters get to do a rampage each (🤞dragon knights)

  15. I am nervous about the fact that WarCom is not posting much AoS content at all. One article so far this week and just the one last week. This suggests that they are drip-feeding what content they do have to cover a longer period, and/or they are stalling until closer to the release date. This means that we are probably still a long way away from release. The Ploos article on Tuesday said updates would be every Wednesday, with the September 1st slot already taken and the AoS app “later in September.” Taken together I think this means we are looking at a September 18th or 25th preorder date at the earliest (on the assumption that the app will be out first). A good indicator will be when we start seeing daily AoS articles again.

Rules coming out of ploos battle report: Hammers of Sigmar apparently get 6+ ward when wholly within 12 of an objective Hammers command trait: if a unit within 12” suffers a casualty, they get +1 sv for the turn. Artefact: double damage to 1 weapon on 6’s to wound Kruleboyz Grinnin Blades subfaction: Out of the mist: kruleboy units are not visible to enemy units over 12” away during first BR Kruleboyz: command trait: retreat and charge, artifact: horde clearing on 5+ for an enemy unit that ends charge move within 6” (Something like once per battle when an enemy unit ends a charge within 6" you can roll one die for each model in that enemy unit. On a 5+, that unit suffers 1 MW)
  18. We don’t know if it was a mistake or a new ability in the book. Anyway more Hammerers stuff: SCE: command trait: if a unit within 12” suffers a casualty, they get +1 sv for the turn. Artifact: double damage to 1 weapon on 6’s to wound. Looks like SCE had a unit in the sky even though they were playing Stormkeeps. Probably a mistake also
