  1. The granularity of 5 vs. 10 point list building doesn't help game balance at all. It would only make list building more of a hassle.
  2. The end result here is that we now have to suffer through another 5-6 months of the same problems plaguing the game. Not a good motivator.
  3. No points changes? Not enough data? Are they high?
  4. Some of them don't even redirect to 2021 docs. They're likely still in the middle of swapping things out. If you look at the document date it's for July 2020.
  5. That character in the front doesn't look like a Stormcast Eternal. Every Stormcast is covered shoulder-to-toe with plate. He/she has breaks in the armor where cloth or leather are showing through--they also don't look as broad or tall as your usual SE. I would pin them as some kind of Order of Azyr knight. That said, I don't believe GW could help themselves from putting a Stormcast somewhere in here...so it's probably a Stormcast against all logic.
  6. The baddies in the WHQ video that are hanging from buildings have those wolf feet.
  7. Yeeeeeesssss, finally a 2.0 DoK book! I couldn't be happier with those endless spells.
  8. Vampire lord is cool. I think it would have been cooler without the shield. Shields evoke a cautious (sometimes even cowardly) mindset. To me vampires have always been about pride and power. I don't think hiding behind a shield reflects those attitudes.
  9. https://imgur.com/gallery/DbTnqnt Let the truth come to light.
  10. I'd bet money on GW releasing a proper Chaos Dwarf army in the future.
  11. It'd still be cool if they made the Ironscale useful with battleline unlocking.
  12. I wouldn't assume any of this is "new faction" material. Most of this definitely looks like Warcry/Shadespire/WHQuest. I'd be willing to bet the Lumineth here are the only things for AoS proper. Not that we won't get vampires at some point, but they probably aren't teasing new factions while they still haven't released the mortal Hedonites yet. They like to build up the tension of a faction release with unique trailers and things before they ever show any models. They aren't going to market competing AoS releases simultaneously---that's just bad business.
  13. It's a bit nonsense that they don't have separate 40k and AoS categories.
  14. I'm really curious how they plan to go about Old World. I'm not particularly interested in it as a game, but as a business model. Do they really plan to support three giant wargames in addition to their smaller skirmish games? Will it have as much or less focus than 40k or AoS? How much will it split the player base? How many new models are they going to push for it specifically? All questions we can't answer right now, but are all similarly important. I also think Old World lovers are going to hype themselves into the grave when it doesn't live up to impossible expectations.
  15. What I hate is this return to the age of ultimate defense. 2+ and 3+ saves are becoming common (don't even get me started on the 1+ save fiasco). Add the rerolling 1's or all saves into the equation and it becomes a dull slog. Then there's the -1 hit stacking...There's becoming a reliance on having significant mortal wound output, but some factions just don't have that option. Rolling a whole bunch of die, only to do absolutely nothing, is not a fun time. Stop giving +1 save bonuses like they're candy, and make -1 to hit non-stackable.
  16. What models are those mancrushers? They're far superior to those gangly GW aleguzzlers.
  17. Some people may not like it because it's not what they envisioned for their High Elf "remake," but my vote goes to the Avanelor/Spirit of the Mountain. So unique, so much detail, and so many conversion opportunities.
  18. Shouldn't the Winter FAQ/Points changes be out sometime this week?
  19. If they're going to give us new dragons in AoS, give us crazy ones. Dragons made from realmstone or something.
  20. I'm going to argue that Lifetakers and Heartrenders should come down to 70. Their main advantage was being able to drop in any battle round, but that's been taken away. They're 5 models that die to anything, and they don't really do any damage. You put witchbrew and mindrazor on some lifetakers on round 3 and they'll perform...moderately. Heartrenders are pretty pathetic, with a statistical average of 1-2 wounds per shooting phase. I think they're too weak to participate in the battle unless they have ALL the buffs (but why aren't you giving those to a better unit?), and we have enough teleportation in the army that deep striking isn't a huge necessity. They're just not worth their points anymore, especially in our magic/shooting meta.
  21. 100 points is perfect to fill out lists. We don't need ANOTHER 120-140 point unit. They have great mobility, but they won't do much damage and die to a strong breeze. Capping them to 18 per unit was also smart, as it effectively reduces their maximum buff efficiency, meaning you can't roll around with a giant murder blob a la Witch Elves.
  22. Hell yeah. I was worried they were going to overprice them. Now the question remains, will they make a x2 AoS box later like the original warbands?
  23. It's going to be some tiny base element that tangentially relates to the focal model.
